Title: A Great Quality of Musical Tracks from Blur
Review: One of the first songs that introduced me to this group was the daring and summer themed song of "Girls and Boys". Like many others, I had also heard and enjoyed "Song 2" when it had came out in the 90's. Then I was interested in getting this collection when the lead singer Damon had went on to be the lead singer in the group Gorillaz (this is especially because I enjoyed the musical tracks from the Gorillaz of "Feel Good" and "Dare"). After listening to this cd you are going to get a positive sense of why Damon Albarn was selected to be the frontman for both the Gorillaz and Blur. Damon has a very strong and good singing voice in many of the songs. Like the Gorillaz, the music used in the Blur songs is very unique and energetic. There is the very folksy but relaxing "Coffee and Tv" track on this cd, and then there are the upbeat and fun musical numbers of "Country House", "Song 2", and "Tender'. "Coffe and Tv" seems to be about getting away from it all and starting over a new life. "Song 2" seems to be about letting go, but being kind of relaxed about it. "Tender" is a song about wanting to experience the strong emotion of love. I really enjoyed "Beetlebum" and "Parklife" as well. "Beetlebum" is a very catchy song about how healing someone can be to someone else with their "sensual" and "erotic" skills. "Parklife" is a musical track about taking it easy during the day and starting the day on their own terms. This greatest hits compilation is so good that I would definitely consider purchasing any future music from Blur when they release their new album (it is had been reported through the online Sun newspaper that they may do this). My overall favorite song in this collection is "Girls and Boys", which is a great fun type pop song that makes a positive statement of only sharing yourself with someone where there is a mutual attraction. A person is most likely to enjoy this greatest hits collection by Blur if: there is an interest in any songs from the Gorillaz and/or Blur, they enjoy the singing voice of Damon Albarn.

Title: Best of Blur
Review: I was not that familiar with Blur's work except for a couple of songs, being they didn't make that much of a dent in the US. I was watching a documentary "Live Forever" on 90s British Pop which featured OASIS, Blur (Specifically Park Life), and Pulp so I decided to buy the Best Of CD. Excellent stuff. Better late than never for me.

Title: Best of Blur Review
Review: I have really enjoyed listening to this CD. I had not heard alot of these songs in such a long time. It has all of my favorites and it reminded me of why I liked Blur so much in college. Just a very fun upbeat band! Even my 16 year old neice was enjoying the CD and had never heard them before. I would recommend this albuum!

Title: (Most of) the Best of Blur
Review: While it's not as extensive as Oasis' "Time Flies...1994-2009" with its hits collection, Blur sometimes gets lost in the fold. "Tender" is my favorite song of theirs, though everything else, especially "Song 2," "She's So High," "There's No Other Way," and "Coffee and TV," is top-notch as well. Looking forward to digging through the discography soon.

Title: A great compilation of the band Blur
Review: If you were to own one Blur album, this would be the one.Excellent in it's range and scope. I like the very "English"sound of this group. They also had a certain versatilitythat was unmatched by groups of the 90's. All in all, thereis alot of talent here and a cd that you will not be ableto pull out of your player.

Title: Good Brit Pop that can overstay its welcome
Review: I'm not a huge die hard blur fan, but I like some of the hits that made airplay in the US (though Song 2 isn't the best IMO). But, man, a couple of the tunes that don't have a whole lot more to say than a three minute pop song should hang around for twice that long (beetlebum, for tomorrow, tender - just goes on and on and on). Harmless tunes in and of themselves but stretched out as if it's pure gold that they just didn't have the heart to end. Boys, it's not THAT great. A lot of these Brit Boy Bands take themselves way too seriously (cough... oasis). Parklife is my favorite and weighs in at a reasonable 3:07.Maybe take a cue from Supergrass and keep'em short or make them interesting for the entire ride if you've just got to go past 4:00.
