Designed for Wide Mouth Mason Jar

Our coffee filter is designed for a wide mouth mason jar, not for a regular mouth mason jar. As a kind of widespread container, the mason jar is very convenient to make cold brew coffee.

How to make cold brew coffee with our stainless steel filter?

Step-1

If this is the first time using our premium stainless steel cold brew coffee filter, please wash it with dish soap and a brush by running water firstly.

Step-2

Put the filter into a wide mouth mason jar, please keep in mind that the inner diameter of the mouth of a wide mouth mason jar is 3 inches (76 mm).

Step-3

Add coarsely ground coffee into the filter.

Step-4

Pour pure water into the jar, the recommend ration of coffee to water is 1:10.

Step-5

Put the mason jar into a refrigerator for at least 12 to 24 hours.

Step-6

Take out the filter, and enjoy your homemade cold brew coffee. Tips: Pour away the coffee grounds into a trash bin, then use running water to wash the filter, use dish soap and brush if needed.

Title: Good for Mason Jar cold brew!
Review: I use this to make cold brew coffee for the fridge, I just put coffee grounds in and let them soak in cold water for like 12 hours. I've seen very little coffee grounds leak through, it does a great job.

Title: Works Perfectly!
Review: I bought this for when my daughter visits as she likes cold brewed coffee and this takes up less space than the special pitcher she had brought to my house which I sent home with her when I found out hers had broken. This fits perfectly in a wide mouth Ball jar that I have and she says the fine mesh on this insert works BETTER than the dedicated cold brew pitcher because NONE of the grounds get into the coffee. I store this in a Ball jar that I already had in my cupboard so it is far better storage-wise in my small kitchen AND, apparently, makes a better brew! I suppose it would also be great for cold brewed loose tea, or even to put aromatics in a tall Ball jar for flavored water. FYI: The filter holds about 4 oz. of ground coffee.

Review: I love this filter for making cold brew in wide mouth mason jars. So much easier than using cheesecloth. However, you’ll still need to strain it through a filter to remove all of the coffee sludge. I use a cloth filter from Hario (wood neck).
