Title: My favorite cookbook
Review: Seems tragic as a retired chef, and Saucier to say that this is one of my favorite cookbooks and yet I can scarcely think of a cookbook where I follow the recipe and not jigger with it. This should be in everybody’s kitchen. James Peterson is incredibly talented.

Title: Page 190
Review: I used to only cook for myself when it was a dire emergency. But after reading the first 2 chapters of the book and perusing through the recepies this book changed my life. I love the recepy for Leek and Potato soup on page 190. The book also gives variations to some if not all its soups so you have an endless commpandium of warm deliciousness for when the days are cold and you need comfort. It also has the added benefit of making the kitchen smell utterly delicious when you're making even some of the most basic recepies. Some of the igredients are kind of rare or require a Whole Foods or a local specialty store, but there are a lot of easy to make soups as well. I also like the binding and craftsmanship of the book you can plop it open on your counter and it will stay open. I can only speak as a beginner, and as such I say this book is awesome.

Title: Holy Soup Kitchen
Review: A pretty big fan of soups in general but I was amazed at just how many soups are in this book! All different cultures and flavors. I have been making 2 per week and they all have been great.Easy to read, very detailed and if you are not a professional cook they are still easy to construct. I like the book so much I bought another for a gift for another soup lover. It will be your GO TO book for anything with a broth.

Title: More than You Can Manage, But Great Stuff
Review: The book has about every soup in it that a person might want. That is almost too much, especially since the illustrations are on the lean side. But you can count on the instructions to be accurate, and if you wish to become a Soup Afficionado, the how-to's for that are included as well. Also includes good information on specialty ingredients. Expect to take some time reading before you cook from this book.

Title: Just what the chef ordered!
Review: The book arrived as promised early as a matter of fact. It was a used book but it was in very good shape just as the description said. It was a gift for my son He's a budding sous chef at a local soup shopping Cleveland Ohio. He was excited for it and it was exactly what he wanted.

Title: An amazing collection
Review: Really well laid out book. I'll probably never make even half of the things in here, but there are wonderful things to try. Everything I've made so far has been excellent. He tends to have a lot of Asian inspired recipes, which just isn't my thing, but there are plenty of other things to experiment with.We eat a lot of soup here and I can't imagine ever needing a different soup cookbook.
