Title: Really nice machine
Review: The Philips 7000 series pasta maker is a really nice machine. I have only used it a couple of times but it works really well. It is fast, easy, quiet and easy to clean.I made a batch of egg noodles for beef and noodles in about 5 minutes from putting the flour in the mixing bowl to turning off the machine. They were the best fresh noodles that I have ever made. The machine is well constructed and feels very solid.

Title: Great product! Next level pasta.
Review: I would highly recommend this product. It will bring your pasta game to the next level. Its quick, easy and delicious. I would recommend getting a digital kitchen scale that measures in grams with this. It takes a lot of the guess work out. I’d also recommend picking up some semolina and 00 flour and making your pasta with about a 50/50 mix. Homemade pasta is a little bit picky on the flour to liquid ratio. I’ve found that using slightly less than half (about 45%)of the grams of liquid to flour is about right. And using 1 egg for every 150 grams of flour is about right. You will see that recipes online and even on Phillips site varies. This is what has worked for me. You get a nice bite to your pasta and it doesn’t come out of the machine too dry or wet. Adding a pinch of salt to the mix helps. It may take a small amount of trial and error but after you dial a couple things in it’s so quick and easy. So far I’ve never had a “bad” noodle. But after using it 15 times I would say my last noodles were quite a bit better than my first. With that said, the first time I used it I was also incredibly impressed and thought those were delicious too.I’m excited to continue using it. I want to try out spinach pasta, sun dried tomato pasta, other shapes I haven’t done yet. And potentially some Italian made bronze dies I’ve been looking into. It’s so much fun for anyone that loves pasta.

Title: Not ready for use
Review: I returned this because it was defective and I don't want a replacement. The mixing paddle is basically a screw with appendages. When the machine is mixing the dough, the paddle spins in one direction which keeps the dough in the mixing chamber. When the machine is extruding, the paddle rotates in the opposite direction which forces the dough through the shaping disc.I weighed all of the ingredients for two disastrous batches of pasta. For the first batch I used semolina flour and followed the recipe in the manual. After the mixing cycle, the machine stopped. I attempted to use the extrusion only button but it just returned the machine to the mixing cycle. After three minutes, it switched to the extrusion cycle. I wound up with a smooth (not crumbly) dough which I tried feeding through the shaping disc. Unfortunately, a thick crust had formed in the shaping disc and the dough would not extrude. I had to take the machine apart to clean it. Eventually, I was able to feed the dough into the paddle's screw manually. The dough was so damp that the spaghetti strands stuck together. I threw the batch out.For the second batch, I used ordinary white flour and followed the recipe in the instruction manual. Once again, the machine stopped and I could not get it to go directly to the extrusion cycle. Instead of winding up with a crumbly dough, I got a smooth dough. I tried feeding it into the screw manually and once again I had to take the machine apart because a crust had formed on the shaping disc. At this point, I threw the dough out and initiated a return of the machine.

Title: Works well, but lacking in power.
Review: This machine is pretty solid. Lots of metal where it counts, which is nice. It does work well, and based on reviews for other similar machines it sounds like this is the one to get. I do wish it had some more power and used bronze/brass dies, because both those improvements would improve the final product. BUT, when you look at the most affordable options out there with double the power and brass dies, they start at about 3x the price. It would be nice to see those stats in a consumer machine that didn’t have to be imported straight from Italy, but that’s the market right now.I find the included dies to make pasta that’s thicker than I’d prefer. There are companies online that sell brass dies and an adapter, and they work quite well in this machine. More power would create more pressure against the die, which would help create stronger shapes that would hold up better to drying the pasta for long-term storage. But for the time being, my opinion is that this is the best option if you don’t want to buy a light commercial machine from Italy for $1000+.One cool thing about this is the ability to make pastas out of a variety of other flours. I’ve seen recipes for gluten-free pastas, pastas made from chickpea flour, almond flour, low-carb flour alternatives, with added squid ink or vegetable juice or powder, etc. If you really want to experiment and do some interesting things with pasta, and especially if you want hollow shapes like rigatoni and bucatini, this is going to be your best option.

Title: So Easy!
Review: This pasta maker is amazing and so easy to use, BUT don’t follow their measurements for pasta and liquid! It wasn’t working so I watched a YouTube video on using it…perfect recipe is 2 full cups (cup provided) of flour put that in chamber. Then crack 2 eggs in same cup and fill to the 1st line with water. Mix it and pour slowly into blending flour. Their advice has you adding way too much liquid! Otherwise this is effortless!!

Review: Bought this product at Christmas time, I have used it many, many times and I can't be any more pleased than I am already! It is so easy to use and makes great pasta and is ready by the time the water has come to a boil. It is so fresh tasting, way better than the store bought fresh pasta which I had been buying! I absolutely love it and all the extra discs fit nicely into the little drawer. So far I have primary just made spaghetti but once made fettuccine and it was really good. If you are thinking of buying a pasta maker spend the extra and buy this one, you won't be disappointed! I always make the large batch and put the leftover in the fridge or freezer. When using some I have frozen, I put it in the boiling water straight from the freezer. Worked great.

Review: This machine made good pasta, not great, but good. However, you need a lot of space to store it and it is quite heavy, so you will need to put it somewhere that you can easily lift it. Unless you can leave this out on your countertop, or make a lot of pasta on a regular basis, I would suggest finding something a bit smaller. I know Phillips makes a compact version, but I am not sure how that one works. I will probably be going back to the old school type pasta maker, just due to size and weight.

Review: I wanted to make my own pastas for so long! This is so hands off, and so sturdy. I bought some cheaper ones before and got so frustrated with them. With this one I can make a huge batch and even multiple batches one after another. I can feed my family of 7 fresh pasta all the time. It's sturdy and easy to clean. If I knew, I would've never hesitated to buy this one first instead of wasting my time and money on cheaper ones!

Review: I had a previous model for some 6 or 7 years. Never any trouble. easy to use. forgiving when children tried. Something went wrong with the electrics and I had to scrap and replace. This machine is no good. I tried 6 times with different flours following the instructions and I inevitably clogged up the machine and it stopped. I thought it only needed more flour, but that did not work either. Much to my regret I have to return this and satisfy myself with store bought pasta.
