Title: Best Ever Can Opener - Very Easy to use!
Review: The long crank handle on this opener makes it so easy to use. It allows one to use one's whole arm to turn the crank as opposed to a thumb or wrist like on standard can openers. The crank turns easily and is very smooth when opening cans. On smaller cans the crank handle will impact the countertop, but this is not a problem as the opener holds the cans so well you just pick up the can once engaged and hold it a few inches above the counter. The small magnet on the opener makes it very easy to lift the lid without getting another tool to pry up the opened lid. What a Great Kitchen Tool!

Title: Best can opener I've owned
Review: This thing works perfectly. Opens different size cans easily (I use this frequently to open both tiny tomato puree cans and typically sized bean/vegetable cans), and it locks on amazingly well. Locked on I lift in the air and open a can, because this thing grips it so well that a can of pumpkin puree can be opened mid-air without fear of it falling from the grip of the blade. Rare these days to buy a utensil that just does its job, and does it notably better than expected. Highly recommended.

Title: Great for older users
Review: As I have grown older, I hate to admit to it, but I have struggled with opening cans and jars. I have been using a traditional can opener and struggle mightily with it. I don't own but have used electric can openers at friends' and family's houses and find them to be almost worse than a manual opener. I found this opener during the Amazon Days sale and I really love it. I was worried that it said that it was for large cans, and might not work well with smaller cans. Since I got my opener, I have used it for several things, including opening small tomato paste cans. The big crank handle makes it so much easier for me to open cans, the only problem with small cans is that when you go to open cans you have to be careful not to hit the handle on the counter while cranking, because the crank is long. there is also a magnet bulit in that is for lifting the lids off the can and it is very strong.

Title: It Broke in Less Than a Year of Light Use
Review: I got this opener because I had seen them and assumed that they would work much better than the standard-sized openers, with less torque required. When I received it I was disappointed that it was NOT easier to crank. It also seemed to have one point in the rotation of the crank that was harder than elsewhere. I decided to keep it, even though it actually cost more than the new electric opener I bought at the same time. Over the ten months I've had it I kept using it for some of the cans I needed to open; about 4 cans per week I'd estimate. (I was hoping that it would get easier to use over time.) Yesterday the lower gear stopped turning when engaged with the upper gear. There is enough friction so it will turn with the crank when NOT engaged with the upper gear, but as soon as the handle is closed it will slip around the crankshaft instead of turning the upper gear. Because this opener uses rivets instead of bolts there is no way to even attempt a repair, not that I think that it would be possible anyway.I don't know if I will replace this opener with another one of the same size, because the long crank arm that is supposed to make cranking easier actually makes it harder to use on regular-sized cans. (The crank arm hits the countertop or scrapes your knuckles on the countertop. The only way to use opener is to place the can along the edge of a counter with the handle parallel to the counter and the crank arm in front of the edge of the counter.) This opener is really intended for use on only gallon-sized cans and tall narrow cans.It is possible that I happened to received a bad one and that you will have better luck if you buy one.UPDATE:After this review was posted the company refunded the cost.

Title: Not as heavy duty as you would think
Review: We purchased this in nov of 23 and it is already a piece of junk. The teeth on the gears have rolled over and you can't turn the handle completely to open a can. IT is not as heavy duty as you think by looking at it. I am revising my review because the seller contacted me and replaced the unit. They did say they had some quality issues with the black handled units and sent us a blue handled unit. I am impressed that they to the initiative to contact me and replaced the failed unit.

Title: Love it!!!
Review: I love this can opener. I have arthritis in my hands and it's hard for me to use regular can openers. This one is easy to use because you use your hand instead of your fingers. The only thing is that the handle is longer than a standard 15 Oz can is tall. I just use it at the edge of my counter. I hope it lasts along time.

Review: Seems strong and functional. We've had problems with other openers falling apart soon after being used a few times. I spent a bit more money on this one and it's easy to use with a good grip. Will update as time goes by.

Customers say
Customers like the ease of use, opening, and handle size of the can opener. They mention it's easy to apply to the can, makes easy work of large and dented cans, and the long handle gives better leverage. Some are satisfied with the ease of turning. However, some dislike the grip. Opinions differ on the build quality, functionality, and value for money.
