Title: More than worth the wait
Review: With everything else that's been going on with the members of BEP. You would wonder if a new cd by them would ever come out. Well its here and more than worth the wait. It's totally different from their previous effort "Monkey Business" as it has more of an electronic/future vibe to it this time around. With their first No. 1 song on Billboard the smash hit "Boom Boom Pow", the rest of the cd takes off from there. With songs such as "Imma Be" which i would like to see released as an official single or "Alive". It's unlike anything BEP has done in the past.Minus a couple missteps here like "Outta My Head" which i was with at all despite a few listens to it and one or two other tracks. I'm really pleased with the "The E.N.D." as a whole and no its not the end of Black Eyed Peas just the start of what i'm sure is going to be more success and recognition now and in the future. The cd is fun, engaging yet touches on relevant things like on the song "The Now Generation".It might not be the best cd out right now but it is up there for me in terms of likability, replay value and playable songs. More than a few of the songs here can and should be on radio and the charts in the future. So if you can get past the title of the cd and into the cd itself. You will find that BEP continues to grow and evolve. This is no exception, enjoy.

Title: I don't think I stopped dancing even once
Review: I bought this album on the strength of their Grammy performance. Fergie sounded so powerful on Imma Be that I literally threw up my hands and finally gave into buying this album. I was and AM not disappointed. Let's get this clear: This is a party album! They're not exaggerating when they say the energy NEVER dies. Even the more down-tempo songs, such as "Missing you" and "Alive" are completely 'danceable'.However, that said, even as a party album, there are tracks such as "Rock that body" and "One Tribe" that carry strong, social messages: love yourself, love each other,....the "Where's the love?" kind of lyrics that fans are use to. They manage to work these "positive vibes" in so skillfully that the album never drags. I found myself popping my booty while singing lyrics like "Forget about the evil that they feed you. We are One people."I have to mention that this is my first time purchasing a Black Eyed Peas album. Although I love some of earlier songs such as 'Pump it' and 'Where is the love?' I never really considered them as a truly impressive band. They just seemed like another pop ensemble that put out 2-3 good hits every now and then. Buying this album proved me completely worng. BEP have gigawatts of talent. This album, from my 'virgin' perspective is definite 5 star quality. I haven't listened to their earlier albums so therefore I cannot have any issues with The E.N.D.I based my rating completely on the pure happiness I derived from listening to this album. In other words, I completely dig this album.

Title: I hope this isn't the end of black eyed peas
Review: I have been a fan of the Black Eyed Peas since Fergie joined with the release of Elephunk but I only listened to their popular hits on the radio. I decided to get this album and listen all the way through and WOW!!!! This was SOOOO much better than I thought it was going to be; I was expecting just jam hits back to back (similar to Boom Boom Pow) but instead we got songs with actual depth to them. However, the album is not filled with just slow-moving songs. The collaborator of this album did a very well job distributing the songs out. You get a nice mix of slow songs, jam songs, and songs that are bound to be hit singles. What I'm saying is: BUY THIS NOW!!!! This album is PHENOMENAL!!!These are my favorite songs (in order of appearance):1. Boom Boom Pow2. Rock That Body3. Meet Me Halfway4. I Gotta Feeling5. Alive6. Missing You7. Party All the Time8. Showdown9. Now GenerationBy making this list, I'm not saying all the other songs are bad, they are really good!! I'm just saying I like these the best.BUY THIS ALBUM NOW!!!!!!!

Title: Not up to normal standards
Review: I'm a fan and while on previous CDs, I could press repeat on any track and be happy for it to play over and over, with THE END, there are only three or four songs that had the same effect on me (namely, track 1, 12, and 13). Even then, the track 1 single that has been playing on the radio for months now has something like a minute of random narration before the song starts up. While this maybe an attempt to be "artsy," I want to listen to music right away, not a message with no beat. If I want a book on tape, I'll buy that. Otherwise, it does seem to me that they really went into techno influenced music big time. The rhythm is really lost in many of the tracks by strange changes tempo and suprise breaks for "deep voice" narration. I don't mind the socially influenced songs if they have a good melody (like track 14 and 13 to a lesser extent), but for a group that's known for pop, the techno mixes really through me (especially, tracks, 2-7).
