Maximum wireless transmission rates are the physical rates derived from IEEE standard 802. 11 Specifications. Range and coverage specifications along with the number of connected devices were defined according to test results under normal usage conditions. Actual wireless transmission rate, wireless coverage, and number of connected devices are not, and will vary as a result of 1) environmental factors, including building materials, physical objects and obstacles, 2) network conditions, including local interference, volume and density of traffic, product location, network complexity, and network overhead and 3) client limitations, including rated performance, location, connection quality, and client condition.
A New Way to WiFi: Deco Mesh technology gives you a better WiFi experience in all directions with faster WiFi speeds and strong WiFi signal to cover your whole home.
Better Coverage than traditional WiFi routers: Deco S4 three units work seamlessly to create a WiFi mesh network that can cover homes up to 5, 500 square feet. No dead zone anymore.
Seamless and Stable WiFi Mesh: Rather than wifi range extender that need multiple network names and passwords, Deco S4 allows you to enjoy seamless roaming throughout the house, with a single network name and password.
Incredibly fast 3× 3 6*Stream AC1900 speeds makes the deco capable of providing connectivity for up to 100 devices.
With advanced Deco Mesh Technology, units work together to form a unified network with a single network name. Devices automatically switch between Decos as you move through your home for the fastest possible speeds.
Robust Parental Controls: Limit online time and block inappropriate websites according to unique profiles created for each family member. Easy to keep your children safe while they’re online.
Setup is a breeze with the Deco app available on your Android or iOS device. Turn on or off guest WiFi with Alexa voice commands.
Each Deco S4 has 2 Gigabit Ethernet ports(6 in total for a 3-pack) and supports Wired Ethernet Backhaul for better speeds. Any of them can work as a Wi-Fi Router. Works with all internet service providers, such as AT&T, Verizon, Xfinity, Spectrum, RCN, Cox, CenturyLink, Frontier, etc.( a modem is required for most internet service providers)

Title: Superb value and coverage, but place them smartly!
Review: I have used the 3 node Deco S4 for just over 4 years now. It has been reliable and stable, but I wanted to share some recommendations to get the most out of it.1. Regularly check the Deco app to see if the network needs to be optimized due to interference. I find doing this a couple times per week helps a lot and it is my first troubleshooting if speed drops.2. Restart your modem periodically, at least once per month3. When setting up, at first just turn on the main node. Then use a wireless device like an iPad and run a speed test as you move away from that location. Very close to it you should get close to your contracted speed from your internet provider (in my case about 400Mb per second). The further away you move the speed will drop, more so when you pass the signal through walls or other obstructions. When you get to a spot where the signal is starting to degrade (in my case 250Mb per second) place your next node. Repeat for the third hopefully in a way where you achieve good coverage at a reasonable speed. In my case I can get a minimum of 100mb per second across an area of 10,000 sqft across 3 levels by spending some time on the placement. Keep in mind that the further away you place the nodes the more thinly you are spreading coverage. Remember, having a strong signal to a remote node doesn’t mean fast wifi if the signal TO that node is already degraded. Likewise, if you place them too closely you will just create network interference due to overlapping. I found the coverage below a node is better than above so given the choice place them on a higher floor. It may take a little trial and error.I did not see a need to do any wired backhaul and I am HD streaming all TV/Netflix, etc. with tons of smart devices. One thing I did notice is microwave ovens really interfere with the signal so best to keep away from them if possible.Setup is really easy and the app gives you everything needed to manage your network. I’m still very happy after 4 years of using this product. Unless I get 2GB service in my area I see no value at all in a newer generation system.

Title: Easiest setup ever for a router, works great
Review: I have eeros for my main network, but wanted a DMZ for smart devices so the main network wasn't exposed should anyone gain access to them. These were on sale so I took a chance. It turns out that they are easier to install than the eero, handle my 1G fiber internet bandwidth and seem, if anything, more stable than the eero. I have a 2-story house so i have one on each floor, and one in the basement. Two of them have ethernet backhaul, but the 2nd-floor does not and doesn't show and diminished speed. I set the guest network for 2.4GHz only, which makes attaching smart devices (which typically don't do 5G wifi) really easy. I have, on occasion, connected my phone to the Deco's main wifi when the eero connection dropped. After moving all of my smart devices and hubs to the Deco guest network, I am wondering why I still have the eeros!

Title: Finally, Wifi in the garage
Review: So first let me start by saying, I'm comfortable working with computers. However I'm not tech savoy and when it comes to networks, routers, modems, extenders, cables, etc....I'm definitely a green horn. With that, I've had issues for years getting a good signal into our dethatched garage. I would get spotty service at best, and most of the time just concede to the fact if I was in the garage I'd just run off 4/5G. Our router is on one side of the house, and the garage is on the complete opposite side of the house. I’d say it’s a good 225’-250’ as the crow flies from the router to the area in the garage I was having issues with. However there is a lot of interior walls, doors, objects, a set of stairs, and two exterior walls (one brick, one hardy plank) the Wifi signal has to travel through. I tried a few of the cheap extenders and had zero luck with them. A few months back I heard about a mesh system and looked into it. After plenty of research and asking around I decided to pull the trigger. I’m glad I did!!!First, the setup wasn’t hard, however I did encounter a few issues that the app was not helpful on at all. A quick google search had me back in the right direction. One issue was that it could not “acquire my internet settings.” It kept saying the ether net cable may have been plugged into the wrong port on the router. However the port I had it plugged in, provided internet service to every laptop I plugged into it. I finally moved the ether net cable from port 1 on the TP Link to port 3 on the TP Link and it gave me the solid white, successfully connected and ready to go status, within seconds. However the setup in the app was now telling me there was no ether net cable connected to the TP Link. My phone showed to be connected to the TP Link and I was getting speeds of 500+Mbps. So I just skipped past that “error/warning” and proceeded forward. I then connected the other two satellite TP Links with absolutely no issue at all. I now have full signal in my garage and get about 175-200Mbps service out there. An inadvertent side effect of the mesh system is, we get amazing service on our back patio now as well. Before it was very weak and would come and go at times. All in all, I am very pleased with the results and would highly suggest this setup to anyone needing/wanting to extend there signal over a greater distance than your current router can manage.
