Title: 8th Man: A great cartoon/Amazon shipping: A DISGRACE
Review: I remember 8th Man from my childhood. I loved it. So I ordered the two volumes that were being sold on Amazon.I received the piece of trash that was volume 1 on 12/20. The envelope was in great shape. Then I opened it. Inside was a piece of garbage that someone, probably in Amazon shipping department, shipped to me. The ENTIRE DVD case was crushed, torn, ripped, and in general almost entirely unrecognizable as a dvd case. A total disgrace on Amazon shipping department. The mangled and crushed DVD case was placed inside of a sealed plastic marked "READY TO SHIP". How can Amazon in all good conscience allow something as this piece of trash to be shipped to a customer. I wish to emphasize strongly that this DVD case was totally destroyed, crushed and mangled. A piece of garbage.Amazon...clean house in the shipping department. Something like this can never be allowed to occur again. DO NOT EVER SEND A PIECE OF GARBAGE LIKE THE CONDITION OF THIS ITEM TO A CUSTOMER AGAIN.

Review: 英語版の吹き替えがどんなものか知りたいと思って注文したが、新品とおもいきや届いたのはなぜか中古扱いだったので説明書なし。それにしても、昔のTV番組の復刻という企画はいいが作り手がよくない。表紙の写真はピンボケでパッケージも弱く、なんといっても本編映像が商品としてどうかと思うひどい画質。安易なダビングとしか思えない。外国人が吹き替えた田中課長の英語の声がオリジナルとそっくりで素晴らしかったがメニューにもスタッフやキャストの記述見当たらず。もともと字幕はないから、英語の雰囲気を味わうくらいしか使い道なし。Vol2もあるが選んだエピソードがいまひとつで購入意欲がわかず。これに興味があるのは既に日本版のリマスターのDVDを持ってる方だと思うが、正直、田中課長が流暢に話す英語を聞きたいという方以外にはおすすめしかねる。もっと良心的で原作に愛がある業者が企画・販売すりゃよかったのに。
