Title: Makes ALL the difference!
Review: We did A LOT of research before springing for this unit, but so glad we did! We plop this unit in the pool in the morning, and it sedately buzzes back and forth across the pool all day slurping up the floating debris in our pool. Makes it so much more enjoyable to use the pool without having to spend 20 minutes skimming the pool!Pros:1. Ease of use. Turn it on, put it in the pool, and watch it go!2. Integrated solar cell. Pure genius! Allows it to go all day keeping the pool clear.3. Value. While not cheap, much less expensive than some of the alternatives.4. Easy to clean. The debris basket removes easily and is simple to clean out.5. Has the ability to be manually controlled by a smartphone, but weâve found this to be of limited utility.Cons:1. Doesnât like corners. The sensors and steering algorithms cause it to maneuver away from corners as it approaches. I generally have to manually skim the corners of the pool and along the edges before using the pool ( 5 minutes of work vs. 20-30 to do the whole pool!).2. Sometimes gets stuck by the pool debris traps. Weâve noticed that this is more of a problem when the water level is lower. When we top off the pool (water about half way up the debris trap opening), it doesnât have this issue. The company recommends using a pool noodle to help avoid this issue, but we havenât tried that yet.

Title: I wanted to give 5 Stars...but I give it a HIGH 4 Star
Review: I've had a few months now. Once I charged to 100% the night before, I did all the hook up to my network and phone. App works really well, for the most part. I've noticed reviews about connection issues and delays when in manual. I don't have that, but I do have a 1G Access Point near my pool and that helps a lot to use the manual mode when it gets stuck. I have noticed that the app will lose connectivity with the Surfer and I have to reconnect to it again. This happens a bit more than I care for. But when connected, I have no issues.2 small issues that keep me from giving 5 starts. The suction of my skimmer is such that if the Surfer gets close to the wall by the skimmer it will get sucked into the skimmer opening and stay there as the props do not have enough power to get away from that suction. I put a pool noodle in there to block the opening to allow the Surfer to Skim past it...but that does not work either. Once the pool is off, it gets free and moves along just fine.Another issue is that I have an umbrella in my Sun Shelf and if the Surfer moves into it just right...it gets stuck there and doesn't move. I find it weird that the unit does not detect when it's set in a stuck position and advises you it is..but it does not back up to get out of that situation. Maybe an update will come for that.Overall..I love the fact it works everyday all the time and with the amount of sun I get on my pool during the day...battery is always charged and ready to go. Next is the Scuba Model to clean the bottom. If you have a cleaner that uses a hose, you cannot use the Surfer at the same time..the hose will catch the Surfer and won't allow it to clean properly.I am satisfied with the product and I would recommend.

Title: 1st Unit had electrical issues, 2nd one was sold as "new", but obviously used
Review: First Surfer unit purchased would not sleep after batteries hit a low level, but would rather run after the sun set until the battery was completely dead. It was supposed to sleep until the sun panels gained enough power the next day and then restart cleaning. It didn't. As such, I would have to remove it from pool and plug it in to get it to recharge. After returning first one and replacing it with a second one...The unit was purchased as "New", but was obviously used. Right out of the box, there was pool debris in the bin and the propellers had mud and scratches on them. Boxes and taping were perfect, so it was obvious Aiper repackaged a used/returned unit. Not cool. I'm hopeful the 3rd one is the charm,as I really like the design, but if it has any issues, I will move on from Aiper. Be better.

Title: Great pool surface cleaner
Review: This skimmer is excellent; it keeps the pool's surface free from leaves and floating debris. Since we have trees surrounding the pool in our yard, this simple device keeps the pool's surface clean so nothing sinks to the bottom and minimizes cleaning the bottom. Since it's solar-powered with a small battery backup for cloudy days, it runs with minimal to no attention. We clean the full basket of leaves and replace it as needed. I highly recommend this for pool owners with larger pools, especially those with deciduous trees near them.

Title: Worked for 1 month then stopped turning on
Review: Worked great for a while but it stopped charging and stopped turning on after one month. Customer service was good and I was sent a replacement and was partially refunded. Will update next season when I open my pool again.
Customers say
Customers like the performance, build quality, and ease of use of the pool vacuum. They mention it works great, cleans the surface of their pool, and saves their filters from debris. Some also appreciate its collectability. However, some customers have mixed opinions on the solar power, sturdiness, and value for money.
