Trigger Mechanism
Mouse on pedal(1)The latch triggers(2), releasing the front door(3)Door close from outside(4)
The center of the pedal is 8 inches from the front door, enough for the entire mouse to enter, avoid pinching the mouse tail!Door close from outside and fall from above, avoid pinching the mouse tail!
Tips
4g of the weight is enough to trigger the trap, but if you encounter a baby mouse, it may too light and it move so fast that cause the pressure becomes very small, please place a coin or anything else weighing less than 4g on the pedal (hold the door, and adjust the location of the coin to make sure the mouse trap will not be triggered immediately), it will provide extra pressure to get the trap work.
Largest Humane Mousetrap - Compared to most humane traps on the market, iiwey has the largest living space (12inchs, others about 6 inchs). Small space will cause suffocation and pinching of mouse tails, iiwey have no any such accident in past 4 years!

Title: Have a rodent problem then you need these!
Review: Review of Live Rat and Rodent TrapsWhen it comes to managing rodent populations in and around the home, many people are seeking humane and effective solutions. Live rat and rodent traps have gained popularity as a preferable alternative to traditional lethal traps and poisons. Having recently tested several models, I would like to share my insights on live rodent traps, focusing on their design, effectiveness, ease of use, and overall impact on pest control.Design and ConstructionMost live rat and rodent traps I encountered were made from robust materials like metal or hard plastic, designed to withstand the determined efforts of larger rodents. I appreciated the thoughtful designs that included features such as secure locking mechanisms and mesh openings that effectively minimize escape chances. Some models even offered a transparent panel, allowing users to monitor the trap's activity without disturbing the catch.EffectivenessIn terms of effectiveness, these traps perform quite well when compared to traditional methods. They utilize baitâsuch as peanut butter or birdseedâto lure rodents inside. Upon entry, a clever mechanism triggers a door that swings shut behind them, trapping them safely inside. I found that the traps worked best when placed in areas with noticeable rodent activity, such as near droppings or along walls. While individual results may vary based on the specific setup and local rodent behavior, I had success in capturing multiple mice and a rat over a few days, highlighting the traps' potential for effective rodent control.Ease of UseThese traps are generally user-friendly, requiring minimal setup. Simply bait the trap, position it strategically, and check it regularly. One experience of setting up a live trap was particularly hassle-free, thanks to clear instructions and intuitive designs. Cleaning the traps after use is also straightforward and essential for effective reuse.Humane ConsiderationOne major benefit of live rat and rodent traps is their humane approach. Unlike traditional traps, thereâs no risk of causing suffering or death to the animals being trapped. After capture, the emphasis should be on promptly relocating the critter to a suitable area far from residential spaces, ensuring it has a chance at survival. That said, itâs important to note that the trap's potential impact on local ecosystems should be considered when selecting relocation sites. Additionally, keeping the captured rodents in the trap for extended periods should be avoided to minimize their stress.ConclusionOverall, live rat and rodent traps provide an effective and humane solution for managing rodent issues in various settings. With their practical design and ease of use, they cater well to those looking for a non-lethal option. However, potential users should remain vigilant about monitoring the traps and relocating captured rodents responsibly. For anyone grappling with a rodent problem and wanting to avoid harmful chemicals or lethal measures, I highly recommend giving live traps a try as a safe and ethical way to handle unwanted rodent guests.

Title: Effective!
Review: These are well thought out, and VERY effective for relocating the incessant CHIPMUNK population on out roughly 2.75 acres of property. They have on occasion also trapped effectively a mole, a shrew, and a few mice when placed on the foundation ledge outside. Since 08/30/2024 to date I counted approximately 21 chipmunks, 8 mice 1 mole, and 1 shrew. However, larger animals-or some unknown- have also tripped the trapped, tumbled over at times, and managed to disengage the trap gate and escape. At times, I found the trap at a distance of 10-15 feet from where it was set. However, they are my favorite effective traps. My go to device when the animals encroach the ceiling space or other too close for comfort. Yes, chipmunks are cute, friendly, and over the years we have had a couple befriend us for feeding. They do carry, like many smaller rodent diseases (hantavirus, bubonic plague, leptospirosis, and Salmonella) which, though not common, do occur. I believe Colorado had a recent case of bubonic plague (although I am not sure of the animal vector). These cute critters also carry ticks, attract fleas, and otherwise do not make for safe clean domestic pets. Ticks in the U.S.A. also carry Powassan virus, Anaplasmosis, Ehrlichiosis, Tularemia, Lyme disease (prevalent in New York), Babesiosis (this was the subject of an episode of Trapper John, MD in the early 1980's!), and Rocky Mountain spotted fever! I do not think the risk of being close with these beautiful creatures is worth the risk to our health as well as our curious children! The "basic" point is this: Cute, but potentially harmful carrying Zoonotic infections. They need cleaning (I advise non-scented surfactant (detergent). The instruction manual is excellent. I do not usually use the bait door. I do not place these at or near the woods, as I consider that rightful visitation. However, the chipmunks were getting into the ceiling, I could actually hear one run outside and come back with nuts dropping them on the ceiling! Durability is very good so far. Placing them at the side of the foundation worked great (the ledge).

Review: My cats are always bringing me 'presents' and my husband and I have the fun of trying to capture these poor little frightened creatures without causing further harm. The fun was becoming tiresome though when the cats seemed to have found a supply of small rats and brought us several in the past week. We managed to catch 2 of them and set them free, further from home. Another 1 was found dead on the floor. Three days later we had another, which evaded capture for the first day and then next morning I came down to find internal organs on the floor and no sign of the rodent which had been sheltering behind the fridge freezer. Whilst cleaning up and disinfecting the floor, I decided to buy a humane mouse trap as I am tired of chasing voles and field mice around the utility room or worse still (for them) cleaning up their internal organs. The trap arrived and I put it to one side; we had 2 days free of any 'presents' until I came in from work to find all 3 cats intently watching the fridge freezer again. I loaded the new trap with peanut butter and when I checked an hour later the door was down, but the rodent had managed to get the peanut butter and get out again, I caught sight of the creature and it looked too big for this trap, so I went looking for a larger humane trap and found these which arrived a day later thanks to Amazon Prime. The rodent seemed to have survived the night as the cats were still mildly interested in hanging around the fridge at times, so I got out the peanut butter and set the trap. An hour later I checked it and to my surprise there it was, a small rat captured safely before it could be tortured by the cats. I walked it to the woods and set it free and I'm hoping it never comes back. I highly recommend this product and it's good value considering you get 2. These are now set and waiting for the next 'present' to arrive!

Review: I put one in the loft as I heard some movement in the walls. Took a month or so, but they seem to have emerged and caught 2 so far. Have not found one that has closed premature, so seems to be a good simple mechanism. The base can get a bit dirty from excrement, so make sure to handle with gloves and rinse and disinfect before resusing. Easy catch and release. If the creators were to improve on this, having an alert system (detachable for washing or waterproof) that tells you when one has been caught would be amazing. As going near the trap can disturb them.Happy with my purchase.

Review: So, I bought these a year or so ago as my cats love to bring me presents....mainly alive. This plays havoc in all my living areas when they prefer to go eat their cat food rather than the mouse. After several attempts, I have perfected the weight balance. 2 x 20p and 1 x 5p, placed on the trigger platform with brown parcel tape. It only works if the parcel tape is loose at one end and pointing upwards a bit as mouse has to move over this as well so triggering the tape with additional movement. The bait.... 3 cat dreamies ... They love the as much as the cats. 2 hours later I have a mouse!!!

Review: The quality of the contraption is great, sturdy and well made. The only problem is that the mice wonât go in. Itâs too much work for the little guys. I put nuts, chocolate and peanut butter but no takers. ð
