Title: SET-UP WAS SUPER EASY
Review: I have an older model Sharp TV, and it hasn't worked in years. I hated the idea of buying a new TV, (yes I know they're not that expensive), but the space where it's sat is under 48". So I've just left it and when the grandkids come over, the downstairs TV is the one they use. I had a Firestick on it that I could NEVER get to work properly, so the TV hasn't been used in years. My soninlaw suggested I try buying a ROKU to see if THAT would work, but figured it would be a lost cause. I DID google if it would work on older models of Sharp TV's, and I saw that yes, it should as long as there is an HDMI port (which it does). I was able to order early this morning, and it was delivered same day about an hour ago. I got back from running errands and decided I would TRY to do it myself before calling my soninlaw over to install it. The instructions are straight forward, I was able to take the old (stick) out of the port, install the ROKU into it, found the plug, and waited. It went to set-up and wanted me to pair it with a remote. So..I thought I was dead in the water since I don't have one. I've no clue WHAT button I hit, but it went to the main menu to set-up an account. I followed each screens instructions, and to my amazement, IT WORKED!!!! I turned on my favorite station, PLUTO, and tuned in to I Love Lucy. Then added CSI to the "favorites" category. From start to finish? Under 15 minutes for all of it. I am beyond thrilled not only that when the grandkids come over they can go upstairs to watch their OWN stuff, but that I was able to do it completely on my own, no mistakes, and it works great!!!! I am now a ROKU believer. (There may even be a ROKU tv in my future, but that's going to take more research and investigating to see if that's the route I want to go). THANK YOU ROKU for making installation easy peasy.

Title: I should have done this years ago!
Review: I am so tired of Comcast (Xfinity) charging $10/month for their cable boxes, we decided to slowly "cut the able cord". We have 5 TVs for it added $50/month to our cable bill which is already over $200/month!Started by replacing one TV with a Fire TV, and one TV with a Roku TV. We found we like the Roku system much better.Order this Roku stick to replace a box in our family room. It could not have been any easier! I'm going to be 68 soon, and I was able to add it to our 20 year old Vizio TV and have it up and running in about 10 minutes.While this model doesn't have a voice controlled remote, the Roku app on my cellphone does! The Roku app lets you use your phone as the remote control and offers more options. Again... very easy transition.I'll be ordering one more for another older TV. It was that easy and works as advertised. And it was overnight delivery! Yay!The Bottom Line?Uncle Steve Approved!

Title: Roku is the best! We love it! You'll be happy, has something for everyone
Review: All of our TVs have been transformed by this product. Endless viewing of programming for free without paying for any streaming services. So fun on Roku channel can watch local news in a variety of cities across the United States. Super fun to get local Chicago, NYC, Miami, Los Angeles, Seattle, to name a few. That's the tip of the iceberg with this product. Search a movie or tv show in Roku before selecting your apps and it will show you were it's free, from there click and it takes you to your subscription based apps. Love it for searching. Fast to open and close apps. Stores your logins so everytime it just opens for you (unless you tell it to log out, older versions had easier time to accidentally log out of netflix, but these new ones are seamless for the user). Love to speak into and get my shows or change searches in youtube etc. And it doesn't feel like it's always listening like Siri and Alexa (of course it may be, just doesn't seem like it). LOVE IT. You'll be happy, something for everyone.

Title: Our first Roku Stick and we love it!
Review: We’ve had the old hockey puck style Rokus for years, but when it was time to equip a small TV with Roku streaming capability, we decided to give this Roku 4K Stick a try.We’re very pleased with the price (Prime Day), ease of use, and quality of this product. It streams in 4K and is much smaller than the old Roku puck devices. Also, if you have an open USB slot on your TV, you can plug this device into it for power using the supplied chord and have a very clean installation without taking up another power outlet!Note that the supplied cable has an in-line dongle that is necessary for the stick to work properly, so do not buy a smaller USB cable for the installation, just bundle up the extra cord length with a zip tie behind your TV.I was surprised at the 4K quality provided by this streaming stick, it might actually be superior to the puck style Rokus because it plugs directly into an HDMI port and doesn’t rely on the thin HDMI cables that Roku supplies with their other units (which I believe degrade the signal somewhat as it travels the length from the puck Roku to the TV).Another nice thing about this unit is that it uses REPLACEABLE AAA BATTERIES rather than the rechargeable integrated batteries that Roku has been packaging with its other units. We prefer being able to remove the batteries ourselves in order to store the unit without having to worry about the built-in rechargeable batteries degrading over time.Overall, we give it a 5 out of 5 stars and wish that we would have bought these sooner!We also appreciated how quick and easy it was to setup the learning remote, with only a few button presses it was controlling our TV! It was much less hassle than we’ve had with our other Roku devices which take a while to learn how to control the TV and often forget and need to be reprogrammed over time.This small streaming stick is very portable and we will be using it to take Roku streaming with us as we travel to resorts and hotels, since we like having all of our favorite services and channels with us wherever we go.If I could replace all of the old hockey puck Rokus in my house with these, I would, but since we already have them, we will wait until they quit working to transition to Roku 4K Sticks for all of our TVs.

Review: big tip netherlands is not yet supported content wise , choose the uk for the country as you get a much better choice of channels , germany has not a good collection of tv apps , no prime or disney + the uk has those . apart from having a good country you will need a vpn to watch bbc iplayer.

Review: The Roku only works in US, Canada, UK, Ireland etc - not in India.So in India, very limited functionality exists - cannot download most channels including Amazon Prime Video or Disney Plus.The search function doesn’t work in India.Overall it’s barely functioning.Do not buy - anything else would work better in India.—-Edit:I had already given this one star, so can’t lower the rating further…Yesterday, we had an internet outage (Airtel broadband in my area is awful).What was surprising was that after the internet came back and we tried to use the Roku, it had logged itself out from the WiFi - had to log into the WiFi again.And then upon opening Netflix, that was also logged out…Crazy - it seems the device resets its settings on Internet errors.I can only imagine how painful it would be to keep logging in again and again every time the internet dies…Oh, and you can’t return the thing.
