Title: Practical for today's living with Kids
Review: I have given this recipe book 5 stars simply as it's an outstanding collection of practical and easy to use recipes for family eating. It also contains tips for cooking with kids, cute stories of what other moms go through and tips for family time and entertaining. I found it extremely easy to use and also quite inspirational! The recipes may not be the absolute healthiest around, but they form a base for ideas and I have modified a few to better fit my family and lifestyle. It's great for entertaining as well - or for those times we are asked to take food over to a neighbor or group member who is ill or just had a baby. The cinnamon monkey bread has become a firm favorite with husband and kids on weekends when we have a 'treat' breakfast! I use this book in conjunction with Feeding the Kids - this gives a healthier outlook on eating and feeding a family that is practical and realistic too. I think the two books compliment each other very well with focusing on healthier eating and then a myriad offering of recipes that can be conformed based on where you are with moving towards better food choices.

Title: Quick and Easy
Review: Most recipes are quick to make with readily available ingredients. Our grandsons love what I have made thus far. Adults may prefer a bit more spice or seasoning but that is easily accomplished.

Title: Buy It!
Review: Love this cookbook! This is actually the second time I've bought it. First time was when MY kids were little. I most recently bought it for my daughter-in-law with two little ones and will probably buy it again when my other kids have kids of their own. I still use it myself!

Title: Recipie book
Review: This looks like a good book with a lot of recipies but it was a little disapointing. I was hoping to get some healthier stuff out of it. Instead I think I got one recipie for French Toast. And that was it.I do like the idea......

Title: Some Favorites and Some Duds
Review: This is one of my "regular" cookbooks that I come back to time and again. The recipes are simple and mostly easy to prepare, though a few are a bit too time-consuming for weeknight fare. There is a decent amount of variety in the recipes, but nearly all are inexpensive to prepare. Some of our favorite recipes are the Chicken L'Orange, Apricot Chicken, Homespun Meat Pie and Chili Verde. My 7-year-old son loves them. Now, if you are looking for a cookbook full of the healthiest recipes, this is not it. I agree with other reviewers that many of the recipes are generous with the butter and sugars, but these can easily be reduced or eliminated. For example, you could use cooking spray on the crunchy chicken rolls instead of melted butter to adhere the stuffing crumbs. I tend to view recipes as a guideline for cooking, not an absolute rule.Another downside is that many of the recipes use condensed creamy soups as a base. While this is quick and easy, it gives the dishes a monotonous, "canned" taste.Overall, I'm glad to have this book in my kitchen library.

Title: Disappointing cookbook
Review: Like others we were surprised to find that the recipes were predominantly very unhealthy. Our toddler loves mac n cheese as most do and we thought that this would help us find healthier alternatives but it does not. We are so displeased that we are returning it to Amazon.
