Title: Large, Well-Padded, Well Built (Still Great After TWO Years)
Review: TWO-YEAR REVIEW (April 2022): Still pleased with this chair. Material has begun to crack on the inside of both armrests. Seat bottom seems to have compressed slightly. This is the only noticeable wear and tear even though it is in constant use. Still comfy, still rolls smooth as silk, swivels fine. Holds its height. No complaints. I'm happy with it.REVISED REVIEW AFTER ONE YEAR (April 2021): (I didn't realize that I already reviewed this chair shortly after I got it. I gave it 4 stars on first impression. Now I up that to 5 stars.)This is a great chair. I've had it for a year now. I'm in it at least 12 hours a day 7 days a week and it shows no wear. Heavy duty, plush, great styling, excellent design. Quite comfortable. Glides like butter on the roller blade wheels. You might want to hold onto your desk when you get in or you may find yourself across the room on hard floors. It's rare when I don't want armrests but it's great to be able to flip them out of the way.Cons: None really. I wish the trim had an option for red or blue, something other than white. But that's a personal preference. The cover of one of the armrest flip hinges fell off one day. I may have bumped it into something. It popped right back on.ORIGINAL REVIEW - April 2020: This chair is large! That's a plus. And comfortable. Controls are excellent. I love the thick, plush padding. That's needed if you spend much time in your chair. Of course the true test of this chair is long-term effectiveness of the gas lift. That's the reason I'm replacing my old chair which still looks snazzy and moves well but kept sinking until I forced it into a set height.FYI: Weight capacity is listed at 275 pounds on the box and at 240 on the assembly instructions and Amazon description.I've had the chair assembled for about an hour, so I cannot yet discuss long-term wear and tear or comfort. But I can talk about assembly. Instructions are adequate with good drawings. However, I was unable to put the back onto the seat in the order Nouhaus directed. I ended up taking the arm rests off the seat and putting them on the back first, then attaching that assembly to the seat. I found that much easier. Several of the bolts were recalcitrant and I was reluctant to force them. They did all, finally, work but I was nervous that I'd have one bad bolt that would nix the entire assembly.I wish color choices were available beyond basic black. However, my first impression is kudos to Nouhaus. I'm pleased. Looks like they've got a great chair.

Title: Great computer chair on first impressions. One thing though - Please read!!
Review: I went back and forth for a few months perusing office chairs to replace my old IKEA model which was shedding terribly (it was around 8 years old so that make sense). One of the big things for me and my purposes was to find a chair that had flip up arms. One thing I do in my chair is practice guitar. Having flip up arms is huge for that as it allows you to sit a little more naturally without the arm rests getting in the way of the guitar's body. I originally looked at the OFM essentials chair as it was much cheaper with the flip back arm feature. However, there were so many mixed reviews, and reviews a year down the road that had shown the chair breaking or losing it's support. I didn't want to risk it. For someone who spends a lot of time in front of their computer, I decided to look elsewhere and found this option for about $70 US more. Way fewer reviews, but all of them were very positive. So, I took a chance here.I literally am typing this review after unboxing and setting up my chair, so I'm giving the legit first impressions.SUPPORT - 5 stars here because I haven't had to use the customer support at all yet.EASY TO ASSEMBLE - 5 stars ** please read the asterisks below ** Overall I found the instructions super easy. I had unboxed and assembled the chair in about 30-45 minutes. I was taking my time though, if I had to set up another one of these it could be done in 15 minutes. I didn't have any help and did this by myself. The chair comes with a really handy hex bolt key that seems of quality. Casters pop right into the base of the chair, there are only 8 hex bolts that are used to attach the arms and back, and everything else just pops right in. There are also 8 bolt covers that you can use if you want to hide the bolts on the arms. They seem to fit snugly and wouldn't pop out from general use. I saw one review that said otherwise, but to me they even would require a rubber mallet to put on. However, I put one on and then opted out of the others. I don't mind how it looks without the covers on, and I've moved enough to know that disassembly will save me space in the long run. But, if you're not planning on disassembly down the road, then the bolt caps are a nice option to have.COMFORT - 4 stars. This is the most comfortable computer chair I've had, including when I worked corporate jobs for ten years. However, I am skinny. I'm about 5'8 and 155 lbs. I have a skinny butt. The base of this chair fits me really well, but even I can feel the "wings" of the seat against my outer thighs. The padding seems super sturdy, it's not soft. So, if you're a bigger person, this is something you may want to consider when you're browsing for new chairs. Also, even at the lowest settings, my feet kind of dangle. I love the feel and look of the velvet. There seems to be sturdy lumbar support. We will see how this chair holds up over time. I may come back and update this to 5 stars, or maybe drop it depending on how it holds up. It would have been nice to see them include a head rest pillow like some other gaming chairs have, but this is really no big deal to me.** PLEASE READ THIS! ** Ok, so I must admit I did have an issue during the setup of this chair. I can't dock the design or assembly instructions, however. I got everything all set up, and everything seemed to work fine, the chair lock works, the arms flipped back easily enough... but, when I went to use the gas lift to raise the chair.. nothing. I tried investigating the mechanism to see if the flipper was hitting the button on top of the gas lift, but the housing made that impossible. Maybe I got a bad gas lift? I was unsure, but I kept probing and pressing on. Sometimes, new gas lifts need to be pulled up to get a jump start on moving. So, I disassembled the actual mechanism from the chair base (it comes preinstalled), yanked on it, and it didn't move. But, I did pull the chair legs from the gas lift. So, I was eventually able to get the gas lift off of the chair base mechanism. In the end I had disassembled the chair base more than how it ships to get access to the gas lift. So, to test the gas lift button, I just flipped it over on my hardwood floor and pushed. It popped loose and started working. I would recommend doing this BEFORE you install the gas lift to the legs of the chair (basically that's step 1 of the instructions), so just pop the button upside down on hard floor to ensure it's not stuck. I reassembled and now the chair works as it should.PROS:- initial impression is high quality. Great feel for the velvet. The padding seems sturdy- flip back arms for storage or playing guitar like my purposes- rollerblade type wheels make almost no noise on hardwood floor, super easy to glide, so smooth- good lumbar support- skinny-er seat forces you to sit straight compared to other chairs where you can move all over the place with bad postureCONS:- made for skinny butts- gas lift didn't work right away, but again that's not the chairs fault, that can just be any new gas lift being stuck- even lowest settings, your feet can dangle. I'm 5'8 and the lowest settings my feet aren't fully flat on the ground.I really think I'm going to love this chair and hope to update my review to a 5 star. I just want to wait and see how it holds up.

Title: Amazing Chair!
Review: Wow, this chair is amazing. Like a lot of other people, I am working from home and needed a new chair for my home office. The assembly was fairly easy, i did have a little trouble with getting the back rest screwed to the seat, but with an extra pair of hands, we got it.I didn't expect much from a chair i purchased online, and mentally prepared myself for disappointment before even getting it. But man, this chair seems to be well made, super comfortable, amazing back support, and soft. I really love it! I'm even thinking about taking it with me to work once we start going back.I almost forgot to mention that the chair looks very nice as well. Super modern, and it seems to be built like a "gamer chair" without it looking like one.I love that the arms move. So when I'm done working I can scoot the chair right under the desk. And the wheels are so nice. I have wood floors and they just glide without scratching up the surface like my old hair. ❤️I think the only thing that could use a bit of improvement is the tilt/rocking feature. I'm not a heavy person, and I barely use this feature. But gosh it's super hard to tilt back (for me). Maybe I just need to use it more to loosen it up a bit.Anyways, love the chair, I've been using it 5 days a week for about 2 weeks now. I hope it holds up!

Review: The short version:I honestly have zero complaints about this chair whatsoever. The long version:Just like the headline says, I have never sat in a more comfortable office chair than this. I was getting awful knots in my back in my previous chair, as I have to be in it about eight hours a day for my job. I took a chance on this one thanks to the great reviews (although I was a little nervous because some people noted its suitability for taller people, as I'm only 5'4") and the chair is honestly worth every penny. It's quality craftsmanship and incredibly comfortable. I can sit in it for hours and not feel a twinge.I would like to note that if I wanted to put my feet flat on the floor, that would likely be an issue due to my short stature, but even before this chair I never sat that way; I use a footstool to brace my feet against to keep my back straight anyway, so the height of the chair isn't a problem for me.The roller blade wheels are brilliant, by the way. I would never have thought to use those on a desk chair but they protect my wood floor and roll so smoothly. As to the assembly of the chair, it was very easy and straightforward, although I did need to get a second person to help me put the back of the chair on -- not because it was heavy or anything, but because I needed them to brace the chair to stop it from moving while I assembled it. I will agree with other reviewers, however: ignore when the instructions tell you to put the back on first. Put the arms (loosely) on first, and then the back. Much easier that way.I can easily see this chair lasting me for years and years, but if I ever need another one, I'm buying this one (or one just like it) again.

Review: Just received my Nouhaus office chair with the Blade wheels, the office charis is great. I'm tired of the plastic casters that don't roll well, slide sideways, break, etc. These caster roll so easily. I have a plastic office chair matte but the plastic caster would not even roll properly and I am fighting it to roll the direction I want. With the Nouhaus, it rolls so comfortably. The seat is very comfortable and the arm rest are sturdy and not just a loose pin in place type arm rest.Love this chair!! Strongly recommend it!!!

Review: I just received my Nouhaus Velour chair. It was extremely well packaged and I appreciated the included Allan key. The chair was very easy to assemble - everything lined up well and it was very quick (maybe 10 minutes). The chair looks really nice! The roller blade wheels are really excellent. The chair feels very comfortable (I'm 6.1", 200lbs). The seat feels well padded and contoured. I like how it reclines and the back support feels good. Plenty of height adjustment. I wonder how the arm rests' padding will hold up over the long run, but time will tell. They are comfortable now.Overall, I'm impressed with the chair and I think it is good option worth considering if you're looking for a reasonably priced office chair.

Review: Most comfortable chair I have ever owned. Super easy to put together. Wheels are not great in carpet, but that is to be expected I guess. Super premium material and feel. Truly a masterpiece for even God, but I'll take it too.
