Title: Works significantly better than I had thought!
Review: The city water where I am is downright atrocious. This is around sixty five days after install with the filters that came with it, and the second photo is the original filter next to the Max Water Sediment filter replacement I bought (also on Amazon, for those wondering). I can actually drink the water now. There's a faint chlorine scent, growing fainter every day, but we're convinced it's because the rental we're in had zero water filtration and the pipes are diffusing what they had embedded in their time without the filter on it. For the price, unbeatable. For the ability to shower without my skin breaking out, drink the water without being made sick by doing so, and the lack of rust staining? Priceless.

Title: Doesn't leak like the others. Seems to be well made
Review: I purchased this for my motorhome and installed it in the wet bay. I like it that you can see the filters and it doesn't leak like another brand I purchased a few years ago.

Title: Don't get the guages, they use superglue as a sealant, which doesn't work.
Review: I ordered the one with gauges, unfortunately the adapters they use to mount the gauges are not 3/4"NPT as they claim. The filter housing has a 3/4" NPT female port and they are trying to mate it with a gauge adapter that has what seems to be some sort of 3/4" BSPP that is extremely short. No matter what I did I could not get them to seal. When I took it apart, I found loads of Teflon tape and SUPERGLUE! YES, SUPERGLUE!!!! I don't appreciate superglue in my water lines! The threads on their adapters are WAY too short and are not tapered, so they do not seal. I emailed the seller and they sent me specs for 1/2" NPT thread. Well, the adapters did not conform to their own specs. I ended up buying new plumbing parts so I could mount the gauges. Their instructions say to wrap your fitting with TWENTY REVOLUTIONS OF TEFLON TAPE before screwing it into their fitting. If they replaced the gauge adapters with a decent, appropriated made part, it would be a decent enough product. Unfortunately, they offer a poorly designed product that leaks and their customer service refuses to help you out. BTW, I called the manufacturer, but they refused to even talk about the product or transfer me to anyone who could help. They said I had to discuss it with the seller, who just happened to have the same address as the manufacturer. I personally will not buy anything from this manufacturer or seller again due to the games they both play. 100% unimpressed!

Title: Be attentive when installing
Review: Inlet and outlet threads don't seal well with standard pex adapters. Better to use a 3/4-close nipple and female thread pex adapter. NOw sure the filter cup is fully tightened, watch for the basket to get compressed into the housing as you turn it tighter. Otherwise you'll blow it out (see my pic).Still a good value for the money. I flipped my mounting plate around so my stages to left to right instead of right to left. (fits my setup better that way).

Review: This has increased my water quality immensely would definitely recommend for those that have water quality issues. Water tastes as good as the PH water I purchase from the grocery store and installation was very streamline. I would suggest sending the original instructions to give guidance to those that dont have experience with do it yourself maintenance to make the experience a little less stressful

Review: Installing this was really easy. The two pressure gauge are an excellent guide for when to change filters. It honestly significantly changed the water taste. It now tastes a lot better. Seeing how the first filter changed color in just a few days is making me question the water I was drinking before. Even if I am plugged on the municipality water feed. Those filters made a huge difference. I bought a kit of filters that will last me for the 5 years to come. Would definitely recommen installing this at your home.

Review: Both the intake and output ports are female fittings, so you need a length of potable water quality hose that has 2 male ends to make the final connection to your RV water intake. The quality seems good. I hope it doesn't leak...

Review: I bought this filter to replace the same filter that I bought 2 years ago, it started leaking around the filter housing so I thought it was the O-rings I replaced the 2 O-rings on the filter housings that were leaking but that didn't help, after paying $53.00 to these guys for new O-rings I realized that the filter holders snug tight against the housing and there was no way the O-rings would seal.I did the next best thing and ordered a new set from Max Water but the new housing was still plastic and the chrome fittings that have the gauge ports were loose, I tightened as much as I dared as not to strip the cheap plastic, but they both leaked. I removed the Chrome fittings and re-applied Teflon tape™, again tightening them as much as I could, but still leaked.I ended up removing the chrome fittings and installed 3/4" NPT nipples with Teflon™ and pipe joint compound, I noticed that the NPT fittings had a little play and I attributed that to them being metric, having come from China, Alas, I finally got them to seal, minus the gauges that I paid extra for.Long of the short, stay clear of these if you don't want to spend the weekend monkeying around with these and then worrying about the ill-fitted fittings blowing out from the water pressure.If I hadn't spent so much money on fittings to install a bypass loop, I would be sending them back!
