Title: Good for basic as you can get
Review: I rent a cheap apartment that has an old big square central heater in the kitchen. The thermostat was an old (probably lead and mercury) move a stick from left to right to set the temp. There was some problem with its thermometer: if I set it to 65 degrees the heat would come on for a second but shut off and I’d have to go reset the heater itself to make it fire back up. If I set the temp to 72 my apartment would be like 80 degrees… who wants to pay that heating bill.So I bought this and installed it myself. Super quick and easy. And I’ve never had to reset my heater since. And it regulates the temp so much better. It’s nice to be able to set different temps for different times (like wake up, leave the house, return home, sleep).Cons: there should be some backlighting. It’s 2024, this isn’t an insane techy request. You need to have a light on or use the light from your phone to see the screen because it doesn’t light up. I could see someone wanting to be able to set specific times for each day of the week (for instance even on Saturday it still turns down because it thinks I’m at work), but for me it’s not a big deal. If I need it higher you can just turn it up a couple notches and it will stay at that new temp until the next programmed setting (such as return home, or bedtime).As I said, basic as it gets, no smart features, no backlight, but it does it’s job and it’s saving me money.

Title: Great cheap programable thermostat
Review: If you just need a simple, inexpensive programable thermostat look no further. This thermostat is so simple to use i feel as if my mother, who is a luddite, can work this! We replaced out old 60's knob thermostat with this so our oil heater would not run all the time.Works perfectly. Great if your renovating and you need something inexpensive.

Review: We don't have a/c, and don't need to program it. We use it as backup to minisplit systems, and we turn it on and off as needed. Easy installation to replace nonfunctioning old Honeywell, and it works fine.

Title: Slow to react to temperature changes
Review: Pro's.... Nice thermostat, simple operation, gets the job done.Con's.... Very slow to react to actual room temperature changes. This can lead to heating well above the set temperature in rooms that are quick and easy to heat. I used two mechanical thermostats to monitor actual room temps along side the new unit. I set the temp on the thermostat to 65F... the room temp dropped to 62F before the thermostat finally registered 64F and kicked on the heat. After which the room reached an actual temperature of 72F before the thermostat caught up and read 65F again and shut down. This is not a swing temp issue, this is s simple case of a slow reacting thermostat. Very poor performance in that area.

Review: I bought this for an RV and actually works really well. The old RV ones are junk and saw this on YouTube as an option. It installed with no issue and works perfectly cycling the heat on and off with no concerns. Maintains the heat at the exact temperature. My only complaint is the the on and off switch at the bottom is really small and very fiddly to use.

Además las instrucciones están en español y la programación cierto es que es muy sencilla.Mi aparato es Carrier, consulte las configuraciones tanto en Carrier como en Honeywell, pensando que era compatible con Carrier. He probado todas las combinaciones de cables posibles y no lo he conseguido. Probablemente sea culpa mía, solamente quiero decir a otros compradores que se aseguren de la compatibilidad antes de comprarlo. Muchas gracias.

Review: Replaced my old thermostat, which was loaded with options and started to act up after 18 months, with this simpler one (I was even considering a mechanical one). Easy to install and program. Only thing is it is in degrees F and does not seem to have a degrees C option, not that that really matters because everyone should be bilingual anyhow.
