Title: A book filled with love and memories!
Review: This is my third book I have from Cooking with Nonna and I cannot tell you you how wonderful they all are. I am a first generation daughter here from Italian parents and these recipes are exactly how my parents and grandparents cooked! they are easy and soo simple to follow, and they are made with the freshest ingredients! Ingredients my family used from their gardens and from scratch! The book also tells a story, a story of love, tradition, beautiful photos and memories of wonderful Sunday dinners, holidays, and spending time with the ones we love and cherish the most, our Nonnas! Buy this book, gift this book.. you will love it! 🙂

Title: Good Cookinâ and So Much More!
Review: Limoncello Knot Cookies! This is closest to the recipe from my Italian childhood! It was given to me; I lost it, and now I have it again! My own motherâs family is from Gioia del Calle, a town in Bari, and everything from Rossella and her precious Nonna is love and a hug from them, my mom, my aunts and even the Nonna I never met. The recipes are easy to follow and go from pasta doughs and arancini and minestra to Pugliese Chicken(OMG!!!) and Potato Dough Focaccia! The sweets like Almond Ricotta Cheesecake and biscotti go so well with the Liquore di Nutella from the Drinks chapter. As youâre reading each recipe you realize that the intro to it is a nicely crafted comment, and as you go through the chapters, the pictures and stories invite you to sit with la famiglia as maybe you once did.And if all that isnât enough, for this Italian woman, a couple of years ago when I messed up an order through the Botega on their Cooking With Nonna site and paid $10-15 more than I should have, Vito himself called me to alert me and fix the problem. His kindness is not forgotten, and the wonderful things he told me about Gioia del Calle still make me smile.AND THE BOOK IS BOUND SO THAT IT STAYS FLAT WHEN YOU OPEN IT ! ! !The first two books are good and among my favorites, but this one is even betterâ¦itâs amazing!Tutti baci, Nonna and Rossella

Title: The Must Have Italian American Cookbook
Review: Rago has done it yet again. She is a true diamond in the necklace that is Italian-Americans. Rago effortlessly makes this cookbook appealing to all, especially immigrants from any background. Every immigrant can relate to the struggles of this melting pot and the nostalgia of a family meal which Rago defines so clearly. This cookbook has brought me to tears, made me smile, and touched my heart in many ways. It is a genuine and heart warming retelling of dear Nonna Romana's life. Nonna didn't have an easy life but she somehow persevered and created a beautiful life for her family and herself in a foreign land as an immigrant and mother of two. From rough, overworked hands came mouth watering food and treasured recipes. Rago discovers the beauty of dishes that are pristinely Italian-American; a combination of the best of both worlds and of course, abbondanza.

Title: Absolutely beautiful
Review: The most beautifully written cookbook I have ever had. The recipes are to die for and the photos and nostalgic recipes will warm your soul. The recipes are incredible and so easy to follow. Rossella is truly magic. She makes it possible for anyone to cook and feel like a professional. These recipes bring back memories of my childhood with my nonna and I will treasure this cookbook forever as she passed when I was 16 and never got the chance to practice her recipes or ask her for them. Highly recommend to anyone at any cooking level this book is for everyone! Thank you Rossella this book is such a treasure.

Review: So I made the orecchiette with broccoli rabe and sausage. I initially thought when I saw the recipe, 5 cloves of garlic, whoa! But surprisingly, it mellowed out and the flavor was good, overall a pretty nice dish, quite straightforward to make as well. I also made the anise biscotti, all I can say is, you better like aniseed if you make these biscotti, because the aniseed flavor is VERY forward. It was the first time I'd seen a recipe for anise biscotti that used aniseed oil, which is very dominant, but it also has Sambuca (aniseed flavored liquor) and fresh aniseeds as well. The biscotti also has far more butter than other biscotti recipes I've seen. This made the biscotti more short, but with a lovely mouthfeel. I thought they might not be crispy enough, because more butter makes biscuits less crispy, but they turned out just fine, but like I said, very strong aniseed flavor, you can smell the aniseed from across the room. I used less sugar as the recipe called for, because I like my biscotti less sweet, but overall, very happy with how they turned out. These ones don't have any nuts added, like the traditional almond biscotti, but you could add nuts, why not, any nut would work, almonds, hazelnuts, pistachios etc. I plan to cook more from this book, quite happy with my purhase.
