Title: Great sous vide machine
Review: Gives you the flexibility to use different size containers it's a very powerful unit it maintains heat very well. It's quiet. Size and functionality are very good. The app allows you to do delayed sets to where you could actually have it come on at a certain time and cook your food while you're coming home from work and all you have to do is then is do the finishes.Very easy to use and I don't have a single complaint about it.

Title: Reliable. Smart Features are Fast.
Review: This thing just plain works and does everything it's supposed to do. It moves the water and heats it quickly.I'm a "smart device" fan, in and out of the kitchen. A lot of other "smart" cooking devices are slow and clunky to get them to work the way you want them to. You say, "cook this at this temperature for this amount of time," and the thing hesitates or the app is horrible. This device's app is refreshingly easy to use and quick to respond. So that's a very good thing. Most apps for most devices are marginal, at best.Prior to purchasing this, I read reviews about how easy the knobs break. I hesitated to buy based on this, however I ultimately decided to pull the trigger on it due to the brand's reputation overall and my research into all the different options. So here's the deal on the knobs, if you're worried about it: They are PLASTIC. You have to be careful and gentle with anything plastic. You can't go cranking them down super tight and expect them not to break. This is true not only with this device, but with anything made out of plastic anywhere. Just turn them until they're barely snug, and they will hold everything in place without breaking. Easy. But, in case you're not wise enough to realize that plastic is brittle, just read the manual. It tells you what you should already know: do not over-tighten.It's possible that other reviewers got a bad knob, or something, but seriously. Plastic breaks. Don't over-tighten and you'll be fine. This is a great product. All of that said, I don't love that they used plastic for this stuff for that reason. And every time I use it, I'm worried that I'm going to break it or that I'm not tightening it enough and it's going to tip over and fall in the water, or something. But I've never had a failure yet, and I just barely snug the knobs. It stays in place surprisingly well. So, unless, in all my paranoid carefulness, the plastic knobs do break, this remains a five-star product. If they do break (and I'm very careful about it), I'll come back and update this review. But until then, I don't think anyone should worry about those other reviews. I'm betting it's more user error than it is a flaw in the product. This thing is great.

Title: Love this thing
Review: This brings a whole new way of cooking. Tired it with the egg, the fish, the lamp chops, and the chicken. Everything comes up perfect without the need to constantly monitor it. Nothing gets over done if even you forgot about it and leave it in for beyond the desired time. The remote control / monitoring via the app is another very useful feature. The unit shows temperatures in the tenth digit and you can tell how accurately the unit is controlling it. This thing basically opened a new world of cooking

Title: Excellent Product
Review: Never used one before but saw one being used on some random cooking show my wife was watching. Figured I'd give one a shot as a gift for her to see how they work as it was a gadget she didn't already have.I'll say I'm very impressed. With zero prior experience, I was up and cooking in 10 minutes and had perfectly cooked meat just an hour later. I didn't mess with the app at all - just filled a pot, slapped in some vac sealed meat and hit go.Storage is easy as the unit itself is tiny (the pot is large, but its something we already had - so nothing new added there). Cleanup is super easy as all of the mess is contained in the bag - the only stuff on the cooker / in the pot is clean water.Very happy with our purchase.

Title: life changer
Review: buy one ... it's great ... problem is it has a technical issue... if you use your phone to monitor the device after you start it from the device itself then it will freeze the timer until you use your phone to stop it and restart it. also, it needs a function to set the temp (say you're doing lamb at 160 degrees for 8 hours) and THEN when 8 hours is done it can either turn off or go to, say, 130 degrees or whatever temp for however long after that. As it is you kinda have to babysit it when it's easy to have it turn itself off and sit in water, safe from bacteria, and not over-cook. Why does it not have this function? VERY confusing ... but great product with huge future ... get it, I use this thing almost every day on steak, chicken, pork, lobster, eggs and more! makes cooking to perfection easy

Title: Pricey but not if you catch the sale
Review: For a non-professional, I was an early adopter to sous vide; I bought a Nomiku on Kickstarter. It worked well but the dial wasn't the easiest to use and I never really got the wifi going. After 4yrs of otherwise issue-free use it finally died; it bricked itself.Looking around at options and knowing that I want to do big cooks (briskets and roasts) I was really struggling w/ $400 for a sous vide. Luckily I caught a 50% off sale and swiped it. $200 is still a lot as I'm perfectly happy with my $60 sous vide knowing that it has its limitations. $60 will not get you a sous vide that can reliably head a 5-gal bucket of water for cooking and compared to this Anova its super noisy. This thing is quiet, was super easy to get going on wifi, the app is decent, and as I said, it'll handle big cooks. Still expensive so if it lasts anything less than 5yrs I'm going to be pretty mad, but so far I'm happy.

Review: I do R&D food tests at my job. I'm a corporate chef in a meat factory. I use the Anova 1200 watts precision cooker on a daily basis and it's a delight. Precise and consistent. Easy to use. Great results! As a meat specialist , I totally recommend this unit, especially if you cook in big quantities!

Review: Migrated from a smaller unit to the Pro and it runs more quietly and creates more water flow than the lesser model. WiFi make this an even better tool as any warnings or notifications are sent to your phone for attention if necessary.
