That’s because it simplifies complex concepts into simple, relatable terms, making it ideal for someone who has never learned anything about music theory. Title: An Awesome Resource!
Review: This is by far the most easy to understand and thorough book on music theory I have come across. No stone is left unturned and the author, Dan Spencer, does a wonderful job of taking you through some potentially confusing subject matter with ease. Visuals are great as well. Formatting wasn’t my favorite but overall, this was a fantastic read, one I would absolutely recommend!

Review: I've always shied away from learning music as it seems too overwhelming but I came across The Best Music Theory Book for Beginners 1A Guide for Everyone: How to Read, Write, and Understand Music (The Best Music Theory Books for Beginners) and thought I'd give it a go.The first line is about breaking rules! Loved that. Suddenly I had no pressure. There are rules of course, but once you know how to read and write music you have the freedom to be creative and do your own thing.I found the explanations easy to follow plus the layout of each page made clear and concise as well. Starting from scratch and moving through the theory will take time and practice (what doesn't) but I found this book plus the bonus Free Audio and Video Examples and Flashcards that are included really helpful. I can write simple tunes now but more than that I have a better understanding of songs and beats that I hear in everyday life so it's a win-win! I highly recommend this book for beginners and for those with a bit more knowledge and there is enough information in here to build on.
