Title: Better than string trimmer
Review: Just so much easier than string trimmers. Just charge your battery and pop in a blade. So far I've cut down all the weeds I've set this against, no issue. Definitely anything a string trimmer can cut. The battery lasts about the time it takes to do my yard if in maintenance mode, maybe half the time it takes to some real intense whacking. But there are two batteries, so it's cool. Lightweight and easy to maneuver for a woman. High tech addition to the tool shed.

Title: Can handle things a string trimmer doesn't
Review: This is a nice little trimmer. It's not too heavy to manage easily and since it has a blade instead of just the zip-tie type thing in string trimmers, it cuts through some tougher stuff than our other weed whacker. I'll be honest and share that I don't do much of the detail work on the yard, that mostly falls to my partner, but I do notice him seek out this trimmer more than the string one--particularly if he thinks using this can finish a job he might have otherwise retrieved his chainsaw to complete. It definitely can't compete with the chainsaw, but it can handle some branches that are too much for other means!It's a good addition to our tool shed, and I think if I could only keep one, I'd use this over the string trimmer.

Title: PATIOX Electric Weed Trimmer OR Standard String Trimmer, You Decide
Review: A very lightweight design trimmer with an extendable handle, 90° rotating head that also swivels making the unit quite versatile,but I found the "dual" safety swith function to be aggravating to use and really not heeded. In use, I found the trimmer to be quite aggravating to accomplish up close trimming around foundations and planter beds because it was unable to get close enough with the attached "yellow slide rail slides" to do an adequate job. Without the slides atgtached, it was difficult to keep even the short 6" metal blades from contacting the hard surfaces. Ouch! But maybe there is relief as the product description mentioons "three different blades" as well as the Packing List which indicates "5 X Plastic Blade". I wish these had been included with my PATIOX Trimmer, as plastic blades might make this tool compete with a normal string trimmer. The battery life and power seemed to be adequate for my tasks, but may not hold up for a larger job, which brings me to my last concern...what about spare batterirs and blades? Although the trimmer's design is quite nice, I am not overall happy with its performance and lack of included component parts!

Title: It does a nice job in a fraction of the time
Review: I love this trimmer. It is a huge upgrade from my old one.This battery powered trimmer is great compared with my old gas powered unit. First thing, there is no problem trying to start it, you just need to make sure the battery is charged and that is it.The biggest difference for me is not having to deal with the nylon string getting stuck or running out and having to replace the reel.The unit has enough power to deal with all those shrubs and weeds. I used the metal blades for the long grass and they did a great job. The circular blade worked very well on shrubs and thicker weeds. The blade cuts quick and easy on them.I cleared a couple of areas that had plenty of weeds a couple of feet high. The areas where full of them and I dreaded having to clear those with the old trimmer. I gave it a try with this unit (picture) and I was amazed on how easy and quick the job got done. I just had to walk around with the unit in front of me clearing the path.The design using the skids, handle and extension makes it very easy to adjust the tool in a way that is comfortable to operate.The only issue is the product description. The pictures show exactly what comes in the package however the text "packing including" mentions "2 X Straight Stainless Steel Blade and 5 X Plastic Blade" those are not part of the bundle. So, that information does not match with the pictures and what got delivered.

Title: perfect all round tool for yard maintenance
Review: The PATIOX Weed Wacker Cordless, PATIOX Electric Weed Trimmer Rechargeable was easy to assemble with tools provided. The instructions were well illustrated with a helpful link to videos on assembly and use. You do not need any special skills to put it together. The unit comes with extra screws and nuts and a selection of blades. I like that the cutting blade is solid steel and not line-fed. Replacing a plastic cord, blasting plastic debris all over, and the hassle of correctly reloading the line is completely avoided.The battery is fast changing with the battery and charger is all one unit that plugs in and then gets mounted to the trimmer. I did my test, including sawing a branch, and only used 9% of the charge. The compact size makes the trimmer easy to store and perfect for smaller yards, although our yard is on the large side.The trimmer appears to be well-built and solid. The various adjustment points, rotation, extension, and angle changes, seem robust, all important since these are the usual failure points. There are a lot of options that make it easy to adjust the trimmer for a variety of tasks, angles, and locations.The PATIOX Weed Wacker Cordless, PATIOX Electric Weed Trimmer Rechargeable is lightweight and easy to handle. I tested out the weed trimming blade on low growing plants and it performed well. While it does not seem the blade would cut weeds or grass well, it did. The trimmer has a roller to help you edge, which is great if (like me) you have issues cutting a straight line "free handing" a trimmer. Helpful adjustable slides enable you to cut grass uniformly. Again, a good solution if you do not have much lawn to mow.For me, the most useful function was a saw blade attachment. Limbs that fall between using a pruning lopper and chainsaw are always a hassle and a lot of work for a handsaw. The trimmer handled a branch that size (inch+) with ease and the extension means you can reach limbs without a ladder or using a shorter ladder in many cases.Overall, I highly recommend this trimmer for a homeowner or renter with an average-size yard faced with typical yard maintenance. You can weed-whack, mow, edge, and trim branches with one device. It is easy to use and compact to store.
