Will the shields stay on my sofa?

Yes! The combination of self-adhesive sheets and twist pins will hold the shields in place.

Do I have to use the twist pins?

It is optional, but we recommend it the use of twist pins because they are very effective in keeping the shields flat around the corners and preventing them from peeling off.

Some customers prefer to secure only the top corners.

Will my cat scratch the protected areas?

Most cats won't attempt to scratch the protected area after shields are installed. Cats don't like to scratch on plastic FixZilla Cat Furniture Protector are tear-resistant and will significantly prevent pet claw damage.

Does it damage my furniture?

Not! The adhesive is perfectly designed to last on the furniture for a long time and when you remove the sheets, no residue remains.

Great purchase - determined cat could NOT get these off.

Even though our cats have lots of scratching places, for some reason they REALLY like the fabric on our new couch. One thing I noticed about some of the reviews here is that a lot of people, for whatever reason, didn't use the included pins to install these onto the furniture. I'm not sure if people are not aware that there are pins, or if they decided to not use them, or if for some reason some of these don't come with the pins, but ours came with pins, and we used them.

Wish I knew about these years ago!

These things are great! We just stick them on a few spots where the cats tend to scratch and pull. They keep trying but they get nowhere! Saved my new furniture for sure!! Easy to cut to size. Stick well enough to stay on but don't leave sticky residue.

Great value for thick protectors and several.

Recommended. Got a new couch added their cat blanket & scratching post so they don't feel the need to sentify it. Still one of our girls tried scratching it, so these protectors are a must. We had even in the 10 pack to protect all four corners the sides and front. Even had an extra sheet left over we cut and used on another couch and our fabric bed corner. Will buy again.

Title: Very sturdy
Review: First let me say that we had bought a different brand of these films from a different company that we used on our previous couch. These films are soooooo much better!! They are thicker and the sticky part is actually sticky and will stay put. I put it all along the back of our new couch to keep our cats from clawing the back (which they started doing as soon as delivery guy left), so I thought I’d give this different brand a try and so far they haven’t disappointed. You can’t really tell their on the couch…they are super clear and thick, super easy to work with. I highly recommend if you have furniture scratching kitties:). PS I don’t think I would use these on a leather couch, but worked great on my cloth material couch.

Title: Really protects your furniture
Review: We tried everything to keep our two cats from destroying our furniture. Sprays did not deter them. Then we tried these funky burlap patches that only encouraged them to scratch more. But finally we found something that works. FixZilla peel-and-stick plastic sheets are so easy to use. The plastic is thick and durable but also fairly transparent so the couch still looks nice. The sheets don't necessarily work on every surface but are very secure on cloth so we didn't even need the twisty pins that came with the kit. Just be sure of where you want them and then don't move them again. You could probably re-use them but some loss of stickiness would result. We've only had them a week so I can't speak to the longevity of the product but at this point our cats have totally lost interest in scratching the couch, which is nothing less than a minor miracle. We totally recommend this product!

Review: They work great for a bit but then the start coming off. They are super sticky at first but within a couple weeks they are falling off. If you need a temporary fix these are perfect!

Review: Great price. Sticks really well to all the different furniture I’ve tried it on so far. Can cut to fit wherever you need it. Really easy to use with very clear instructions. Very scratch resistant. Can’t even see it on most of the furniture I’ve put it on. Highly recommend if you have cats that prefer chairs and couches to scratch pads and posts.

Review: Bueno creo que ahora si ya puedo hacer un comentario pues han pasado varios días desde que me llegó el producto e inmediatamente los coloqué estrategicamente a mis muebles. Puedo decir que desde que los puse mis gatos no han rascado las esquinasl. Si lo han hecho ha servido para disuadirlos y eso es exactamente lo que yo quería. Los vinilos llegaron doblados y pensé que ya se habian arruinado pero los puse en el piso primero con peso encima para hacerlos planos y como son suaves si funcionó. LLegaron doblados porque los empacaron en un sobre muy pequeño en vez de algo como una caja para protegerlos eso es lo único que no me gustó. Pero hasta el día de hoy puedo decir que están haciendo su trabajo de proteger las esquinas de mis sofás y sillones.

Review: Comprei pra usar nas cadeiras de jantar. Funciona super bem. Meus gatos pararam de arranhar minhas cadeiras. Quando fixamos no móvel fica o acabamento brilhoso do plástico mas não me incomoda. Prefiro assim do que os gatos rasgando o tecido.
