Product Description
Do you know the difference between a person who loves to cook on an offset smoker, and a pro? While cooking on an offset smoker creates amazing meals, it takes more than spices to produce award winning meats, vegetables and all the rest. Surprisingly, the secret is largely due to how you control your flame. The meat quality is important, the spices have a lot to do with it – but creating consistent heat and flame control is absolutely paramount. The Perfect Draft allows you to create the optimal cooking environment to unlock the flavor and texture of foods – creating award winning meals every time you use your offset smoker.
BENEFITS OF THE PERFECT DRAFT
ENHANCES MEAT FLAVOR
Meat that has been cooked with fuel that is not burning clean often has an acrid taste. The Perfect Draft provides the fuel in your firebox with plenty of oxygen, allowing it to burn cleaner. The result is your meat gets the exact smoke flavor you desire.
COOKS MEAT EVENLY
Lets face it. Often the flow of smoke is slow, and your meat gets a bit mushy. Or you get highs and lows as you adjust your fuel and stacks, and your meat is over/under cooked.
The Perfect Draft provides a steady stream of airflow while holding your desired temperature. The result is your meat is cooked evenly, with you being in full control all the way.
SAVES TIME AND MONEY
Getting a fire started in a firebox can be time consuming. Fuel that gets starved of airflow goes out, and the cook chamber no longer cooks. Fuel that has too much airflow burns out quick and overheats the cook chamber. The Perfect Draft allows you to burn your fuel at the pace you want – saving you time and money!
COMPATIBLE WITH ALMOST ANY SMOKER
As a basis of design, offset smokers have a firebox attached to a smoking chamber where the food is cooked. The firebox itself has inlet vents on one side to allow airflow into the fire, and then a outlet vent on the opposite side to allow smoke and heat to pass into the cooking chamber. Production and custom manufacturers use a huge variety of inlet vent types, but one common denominators they all use an inlet vent. The Perfect Draft fits over the overwhelming majority of the inlet vents produced today. A very small number of custom produced units require a small plate modification prior to the mounting the Perfect Draft Blower. Ultimately, the Perfect Draft is the perfect solution for almost every offset smoker!
HOW TO INSTALL
1 Start by mounting the safety hook to your offset smoker with one bolt.
2 Next you clip the safety hook, metal adapter tube and blower together. No fasteners screws, etc!
3 Next you plug the 8’ thermostat cable into the blower, and place the probe in your cooking chamber.
4 Installation is complete.
HOW TO OPERATE
1 To assist starting your fire, set on manual and turn up fan speed for a quick start
2 Automatic Mode: Set to automatic mode, and select desired temperature. Fan will ramp up and down in speed as the temperature in the cooking chamber fluctuates
3 Manual Mode: Set to manual mode, and adjust fan speed to provide a consistent flow of air from your heat source and through the cooking chamber
Perfect for all Offset Smokers - The Perfect Draft easily mounts to almost any offset smoker grill. Perfect Drafts are consistently used on cross flow and reverse flow offset smokers. Quick and safe to mount, and extremely easy to operate.
Start Charcoal and Fuel Fires Fast - Avoid those frustrating times spending too much time trying to get your fire started. In " Manual Mode", the Perfect Draft blows a steady stream of air across your fuel, helping you get your fire started quickly.
Maintain Even Cooking Temperatures - Struggle with temperature highs and lows when doing a long cook on an offset smoker? No more! Let the Perfect Draft help you regulate your temperature and avoid cooking mishaps
Improved Flavor - A lack of airflow can lead to "mushy" meat, or an acrid smoke taste that is a result of bad smoke. The Perfect Draft solves that by providing a constant and even airflow, which results in your meat having an even doneness and texture, while providing the correct smokey flavor you wanted.
Save Time - In Auto Mode, the Perfect Draft will automatically and constantly react to the temperature in the cooking chamber, giving you freedom from being on call throughout your entire smoke

Title: The Perfect Draft Blower is a game changer.
Review: We run our HBT smoker for a lot of charitable events and fund raisers. Whole hogs, brisket, butts, turkey, etc. Long smokes. The HBT smoker is a great piece of equipment, but the addition of the Perfect Draft makes this whole setup a game changer. Consistent temperature control is as easy as setting the probe in the correct location and imputing the desired temperature on the blower dial. all that's left is to just feed the fire box. The Perfect Draft is also great for cold smoking cheeses and slab bacon. I use it with a pellet smoke tube and fill the whole chamber with cool smoke. We love it.

Title: Helps with fire management and fuel consumption
Review: I bought this for use with my Chargriller Smokin Aces offset. It wouldn't work because the firebox was small and the collar was too big. I wanted a larger offset anyways so I went with an OJ/Highland. The collar fit much better, but it required some modifications. I needed a hole for the collar. My hole saw wouldn't do it so I used an angle grinder and it cut though easily. I mounted the collar with bolts and painted it. I seasoned the grill but ran into issues. I had a lot of temperature swings, but it was due to leaking. I bought some bbq gasket and sealed up the doors and ash drawer. It was night and day. First cook was a pork loin and ribs. I had excellent fire control. I used less wood than normal. I could bump up temperature with the knob on the perfect draft. It comes with a probe that you can clip to the grate. The perfect draft had the same temperature as what my meater probe read.

Title: The idea is Perfect, but the blower is anything but...
Review: SHORT STORYThis is an interesting idea, but this company chose to use a plastic housing that sits not very far from a HOT firebox. When it arrived, I thought... that is strange, but I am sure they know what they are doing." I actually got to use it for the first time yesterday. After 8-10 hours of smoking, I realized the fan housing had actually softened and pulled away from the collar. This is just physics. I am sure it will still work, but it is now gonna have to be engineered a little differently and maybe have some caulk around the new openings in the housing. Had this thing been $50, I would have thought, "Well, I should've known better." With a retail price that is five times or more than that, I feel like the company owes me a new housing to repair what was a BRAND NEW item less than 24 hours ago. I'll do the work, changing out all the parts, I just want a new housing. So my stuff doesn't look, redneck. I certainly will weld a new pipe that supports the blower better and also mounts it farther from the firebox.LONG STORYThis thing is supposed to blow across coals to keep them going at a constant temperature. It is the absolute correct idea. The one hundred thousand dollar smokers that are found at better restaurants have automatic temperature control baffles and blowers. They literally load the fuel, set the desired temps. and walk away. When it came in the flimsy-looking collar which is supposed to provide separation from the firebox is SHORT. Yes, it is flimsy. If it was made out of 16 gauge steel, I would be surprised. I knew something was wrong early on and I thought it was the collar that had gotten soft and started to bend. It's believable but I just couldn't imagine this was really happening. There are warnings all over the directions to not connect the blower directly to the firebox. Right! You have to connect the collar to protect the blower. I mean that is common sense, right? So, shouldn't the collar provide heat protection? That is a reasonable thought. Well, I did what the directions indicated. Here is where I need to say that I have smoked meat for at least 25 years and I have NEVER had issues with runaway fire in the firebox. I am a religious stick burner and put in my fuel that is standard firewood size. I think this toy really needs small chunks a little at a time. Well, that does nothing to help automate things. I had to choke down the exhaust completely which wielded the terrible yellow plume of acrid smoke to control the fire at all. When the meat was ready, 8-10hrs. of smoking, I broke things down because I care for my tools. I went to disconnect the blower and realized something was wrong. The blower housing actually softened and started falling from the mount. (The housing is made from plastic). Who makes anything that sits down by a firebox out of plastic that can not survive the heat of a firebox? My guess is someone who builds toys for the weekend warrior who dreams of being on one of those BBQ shows. Yes, the idea is great, but the housing needs to be made of metal, OR they need to engineer a longer collar to protect things (look at their website, they now have very long flexible conduit as an alternative. Does that make you wonder why?).

Title: Makes all the difference!!
Review: The Perfect Draft makes all the difference to my offset smoker. Not only does it make it easier to start the fire, but the entire smoking process is less hassle. It allows you to keep an even temperature which definitely improved the flavor, and prevented me from over cooking. Its so easy to install and operate, I donât understand why every offset does not come with one!

Title: I'd play with both dampers and had good cooks and bad cooks
Review: Ok, I normally don't write reviews, but I must say I'm very impressed. I had to write something on this product. I'm new to the smoke world. I credit you guys doing it for awhile. I bought a starter smoker.... Dyna- glo wide smoker. I live in the palm springs area, always hot especially now. Although we do get winds and breezes, I always seemed to choke my fire out. I'd play with both dampers and had good cooks and bad cooks . Even if it was the same meat, seemed to be different everytime. Well it was time to do my research... and this product seemed to have great reviews, I took a chance and now my cooking is much easier. At least for me. I've done my usual pork shoulder and spare ribs without over cooking or under cooking. Still have the usual wrapping depending on the meat but I'm very satisfied. There might be better products out there but penny for penny, this things great. Now I just have to see if lasts. From a novice, hope this helps.
Customers say
Customers like the functionality, ease of use, and temperature control of the electric fan. They mention it works great on BBQ grills, is easy to work with, and allows them to keep an even temperature. Some are also happy with the fire control. However, some customers have reported that the system was falling apart from day one and the craftsmanship isn't there. Opinions differ on the smoke quality.
