Title: Exceeded expectations!!
Review: I cannot say enough good about this book! I have been learning sign for about a year to be able to sign with a deaf relative. I get frustrated sifting through all of the resources that are made available only to find that the majority of the signs included are outdated. Some deafies become impatient and will walk away if you can't keep up with the current signs. This book has current signs and is extremely easy to read and is easy to follow and learn with. I bought it for my 8 year old son who showed interest in signing as he watches me learn and sign with our deaf relative. I find myself having fun going through the book with my son and having fun reading and teaching him with this book. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to start learning or has learned and wants a refresher. It's the best one I have found yet! I did a rough count but there's probably about 275 signs or more in this book. There's a lot of deaf culture and ASL not pidgin or signed English. All I can say is buy this book!!

Title: Great Book for EVERY Classroom
Review: I am just learning sign language myself, but feel as if everyone would benefit from knowing a few words and letters in the most common sign language (in their area) so they can speak (or at least offer a word of kindness) to more people. The ideas in this book could keep children busy during indoor recess, while riding the bus to a field trip, waiting in line at the museum, or just a few minutes until class dismissal. The students would have fun and the added benefit of learning a new way to "say" numbers, letters, or words in ASL.Learn to Sign the Fun Way: Let Your Fingers Do the Talking with Games, Puzzles, and Activities in American Sign Language

Title: Perfect for ASL Classes!
Review: This was a great book to have! I was able to use some of the activities and make little changes to it so that the students could use to think outside of the box. It kept the class engaged and they enjoyed it!

Title: Great book!
Review: I have to write a review for this book! I picked up this book back in 2005 to learn some basic signs to communicate with a Deaf friend I made. It worked! We became great friends and I got to meet other Deaf folks. And now 2023 Iâve been an ASL interpreter for 15 years!! Iâve interpreted concerts, Plays, comedy shows, the news, movie studio interpreting..etc. And it all came down to the foundation this book gave me. Definitely worth it.

Title: Not all signs are official ASL signs
Review: I really do like this book as far as teaching little ones to sign goes. The only thing I see as a possible issue is that some of the signs in the book are not actually official ASL signs. They are recognized, instead, as English signs, which means that a hearing person(s) invented them. That's fine - there's nothing wrong with learning English signs. I just think it's important to point out that not all the signs in the book are recognized as American Sign Language. But it is a very well put together book - as far as the sequence of what songs to teach first, second, third, etc., it is a very good book. I do like it.

Title: Disappointing
Review: Having already studied ASL, I thought this book would be a good way to review, but due to the page layout, I could tell how confusing it would be for a novice. On nearly every bottom of the page of definitions, the sign appears, but the description is on the next page. And it's unclear if definitions refer to the sign above, or the sign below. If you're totally ignorant of ASL, this will be very confusing. And, at least according to MY teachers, some of the signs are incorrect. That may be regional, bit I doubt it. For myself, it was a waste of money, although it IS inexpensive. I would recommend purchasing the book THE JOY OF SIGNING as a much, much better of introducing yourself to ASL. Also, more needed to
