Title: So many great receipies
Review: My boyfriend and I recently decided to introduce our children to foods around the world. I had taken a world foods class in high school and remembered how interesting it was trying different foods. Seeing as we have some distant relatives that are Korean, I figured it would be great to try it out! I was shocked to discover that rice is a staple for Korean food and is even used in alcohol! I thought meat was the main focus of the menu. I love the little history behind the food, the introduction, and how the author makes it person. The recipes themselves are great! You will want to invest in a rice cooker and nonstick stir-fry pan to make things easier. This author also mentions a few other tools that an be useful. There is even a section about staple ingredients you will need as well as some brand recommendations, which is great for a beginner like I am. The recipes are broken down by stocks and sauces, kimchi and pickles, appetizers and anju, side dishes, soups and stews, rice and noodles, fish and seafood, poultry and meat, fusion fare, and drinks and sweet treats. It makes it easy to go to exactly which section you want. If you want to make a chicken meal, you don't have to read through all the recipient to find one, just go strait to the meat and poultry section. I am amazed at the range of receipies in here and I like how they show how spicy they are. This is a great book for anyone wanting to make Korean food.I received this product for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Title: Yum! New recipes to add to our weekly rotation.
Review: I was so excited when I saw that Ms. Imatome-Yun had released a new cookbook. Several of the recipes from her previous cookbook, Cooking with Gochujang have become staples in our household. I was eager to check out the new book. I sat down to skim through the book and ended up reading through the entire thing before I put it down. I usually skim through cookbooks and flag the recipes I am interested in making. By the time I got through tagging this book, my markings were nearly useless because I had flagged so much of the book!In the past, I have not cooked a lot of Korean recipes at home because I was too intimidated despite my love of Korean food. These recipes work for me because:- they overwhelmingly call for ingredients that I have readily available. Adding just a couple of items to my pantry makes almost all the recipes doable without advanced planning.- the time to cook and steps required are completely manageable for a weekday meal- lots of suggestions for adjustments and variations are available in the book to adapt the recipe to your needs- they are delicious! We had the grilled marinated chicken as lettuce wraps last night and my whole family was raving about it. My son declared it the best chicken he has ever had. Adding this one to the regular rotation! Canât wait to try some of the others.Such a great cookbook!

Title: Good recipes
Review: While visiting my friend I saw that she had this cookbook and inquired about it. She told me that she had received it as a gift but that several of the recipes were good and easy to make. We cooked a few things from the book while I was at her house and the things we cooked were indeed easy and tasted good. I decided to order the book for myself to have at my own home.

Title: Yum!
Review: I admit i do not know much about korean food. I know i love spicy food and flavorful food so i was eager to dive into this book. The first part is all about korean food and culture history and ettiquite. I loved learning about different table manners and how food is prepared and the different types. It was a great intro and really got me psyched. You can just tell the author loves her culture and food and took great care with this cookbook. The recipes are easy to follow and the images, though feq, look delicious. There are a few ingrediants i would have a hard time finding and would have to search online but not many. Most of the recipes are simple and short with a few requiring quite a few ingrediants. All of it sounds so yummy though! Its broken down into sections and there is even a dessert part. This is a great book for korean food newbies or seasoned cooks alike and i cant wait to try some of them.Note - I have recieved this item in exchange for an honest review.

Title: Very nice book for your cookbook collection
Review: Exactly what I was looking for! I love trying new foods and am always interested to make some of the recipes but ethnic food isn't always available in traditional American cook books. This book not only has just about every Korean food that I've tasted before, but, also offers a chapter on tradition and culture of Korean food preparation and serving, and even a little bit about table manners! The 135 recipes themselves range in difficulty from easy to complicated, but most seem to be on the easy side. Each recipe gives you a "prep time" and a "cook time" so that you know before you begin what to expect. The only thing that the book lacks is photos of the finished product. The image on the front is nice and I would love to see what it is that I will be cooking, especially when some of the items I have never seen, nor heard of. *I received a sample of this item in return for an honest and unbiased review*

Title: Put some Seoul in your life
Review: Okay I am so excited about this book! I love trying new things and I love different cultures. I tried kimchi when I was younger and still enjoy it to this day. Seeing the different recipes makes me excited to try them and I look forward to exposing my children to a different cultures taste palette. I loved that they gave some history and table manners and lots of interesting facts. While I don't see myself going to Korea anytime soon, my household loves going over new information together. All in all I am excited about trying the recipes in this book. They are laid out easy to follow and look fun and tasty. I recommend if you enjoy this food or trying new things you grab this book.I was given this book for an unbiased review. I would buy this book on my own cause it's wonderful. (I plan on getting the paperback!)
