Title: compact and functional
Review: Had a best buy associate recommend this Kenwood unit over the similar, more expensive but older Garmin 47. My preference was for a compact unit first, but not necessarily at the cost of image quality. Install was fairly quick with the included cord/power adaptor once I decided how to route and place the unit and wire. Small enough to easily be outside of direct vision, cord running from the trunk DC output of a VW golf. It's clear enough to read plates at night with HDR, so even if it's not HD crazy movie quality it's distinguishable enough. I installed in our 2 cars, first one took a half evening through tweaking/trial and error for fit and 2nd install was maybe a half hour. Syncing through mobile phone app takes a bit to download and transfer but their computer client is a pretty quick file transfer and view/edit including showing the speed/route. I'm quite satisfied for having a very minimal install/module that is pretty much set and forget.
