Review: As far as city guides go, this isn't too bad. It could have used a little more graphics and some more description and explanation. Folks who are new to a city don't need lists (which was the strong point of this book) but a qualitative explanation of the city, its people, and what it is worth seeing there. This book was good as far as it goes (good lists of places to go and see), but a visitor who wants to get to know the city well will need more.

Some of the interesting ideas I found:* "Jack the Ripper Museum" to get a glimpse into Victorian London.* John Soan Museum, a quirky collection of this eccentric architect.* Columbia Road flower market with colorful blooms and a lively atmosphere* Hackney Wick, a former industrial area, turned into a hub for street art and foodOf course, it also had plenty of well-known destinations: Buckingham Palace, Houses of Parliament and Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, and so forth.The author alos shares practical advice, such as purchasing a travel card, such as the Oyster Card, for unlimited travel on public transportation. He shares which tickets can be purchased in advance such as theater or cabs.The guide is well-organized, with answers to what, where, how much, and the web URL for each attraction. The book ends with a long list of reference web pages.I found this guide helpful.

Information covering a whole spectrum of things anyone sightseeing should consider in order to time their visit well – festival days and fairs you may want to experience like Trooping the Color, Wimbledon, Notting Hill Carnival, historical buildings and more – take your pick!The author has done a great job of providing all the details you need if you plan to attend these events like what the event is about, location, cost, web link for location; contact number, and social media link. Very useful indeed.Good variety of restaurants over many parts of London with all the detail you need.I will be referring to this book so I can plan on seeing sights I didn’t know about.

The book is simply a list of London, uninspiring and boring with a lack of pictures and details. It's already started bending and we've only had a flick through. The quality of the book is extremely poor. Don't waste your time or money!
