Title: Loving it so far
Review: My Duo Temp arrived 3 days ago so I have only been using it that long. That said, I am very satisfied so far. This is my first home espresso machine. I, like many, have a very serious S**rbucks addiction and I’ve always wanted to be able to make those wonderfully delicious drinks at home. This machine allows me to do that. The things I like:The machine heats up quick. I don’t think my Kuerig heats up as fast. The steam wand is commercial grade and even though I am a rookie, I find it easy to make a good micro foam. It comes with 4 baskets for the portafilter. 2 are pressurized double wall filters (for pre ground beans). And the other 2 are single wall non-pressurized (for freshly ground beans). I’ve been using the pressurized baskets with preground espresso.People will tell you you can’t get a good shot unless you buy an extravagant $200 grinder and beans roasted within 5 days of when you brew. I used preground Lavazza coffee and I made 5 lattes this past weekend that I would be glad to get if I ordered them in a coffee shop. So regardless of whether you opt for the expensive grinder this machine will still pull a great shot. That said, I also wouldn’t waste my time on a cheap grinder. Either buy the expensive high quality grinder, or don’t and just buy high quality preground coffee. Lavazza and Illy are best from what I’ve read. I can only vouch for Lavazza.I also love the PID and the backflush feature that cools the machine after steaming so you can quickly pull another shot. There is a tamper and pitcher included. The pitcher is high quality and the tamper is certainly very usable. It is pretty cool how the tamper has a magnetic storage location on the machine so it doesn’t get misplaced. What I don’t like:Because of the backflush feature, the drip tray fills up fast. So you have to empty it fairly often. This machine is a single boiler system which means you can’t pull a shot and steam milk at the same time. However, switching between the two functions is fast so this is really a non issue. Also busting out a quick cup on the Kuerig takes just a minute or two. This takes much more time. So be prepared if brewing a cup is part of your morning routine. Lastly, I’ve had the filter basket get stuck in the group head twice already. It’s no big deal but eventually it’s gonna get stuck, then fall out, and send coffee all over.Ultimately, I am thrilled so far. I can now make great latte’s without the $5 price tag. I will update if things change.UPDATE:So I’ve had my machine for 6 months now and I’m still very happy with it. I use it at least once everyday but usually twice. It’s great for that much use. I have noticed however that this machine is not great for entertaining. I have my family over regularly and usually end up making about 6 lattes/cappuccinos after dinner. The machine tends to get hot and the grounds in the group head actually start to smell burnt after the 3rd or 4th brew. That was brewing double shot lattes. I have since stopped the double shots for each drink and now brew a double shot into two separate shot glasses making two drinks on each cycle. This fixed the overheating but be aware that this is not a high volume machine. Casual use only. I also had one instance where the steam failed to start when turning the knob into position. A little steam was coming out so I double checked that the knob was turned all the way and it was. So I set it back to the off position and then back to steam and then it worked fine. Only happened once and then never again. That was a month ago so fingers crossed that doesn’t become a problem.Anyway I am extremely satisfied with my purchase and I highly recommend this machine to those serious about their espresso drinks but want the convenience of brewing at home. Good luck and enjoy!

Title: I LOVE this machine!
Review: I've had this machine for more than 8 years and I LOVE it.This particular model has been discontinued- people seem to want the fully automatic variety now. This machine is easy to use and makes wonderful coffee and frothy milk. Though mine still works perfectly, I bought another because, really, how long can it last? I love my Duo-Temp Pro!

Title: I love Breville!
Review: I had an old Breville espresso machine Model: 800ESXL that I purchased in January 2007 (yes I still have the paper work for the machine). That espresso machine lasted 17 YEARS!!! It made the most delicious espresso up until its last day. It surpassed all my expectations of an espresso machine. I was in need of a new one but couldn’t spend too much at the time. So I settled for a Gevi espresso machine Model:GECME022-U. Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed with the Gevi model. Everything was made of plastic and it only lasted 8 months before the whole machine started leaking water from every part. I could never get a good tasting espresso from the Gevi machine. So I saved up enough to invest in a new Breville espresso machine Model:BES810 BSSUSC. I made my first cup of espresso today with my new machine and at last, I had my perfect beloved espresso back again!!! Lesson learned: you get what you pay for. If this espresso machine lasts nearly as long as my first one did than Breville - you will have a customer for life! Time will tell…One thing that has changed from the original Breville machine I had is the water tank. I am not crazy about it being on the back of the machine. I find it difficult to reach your hand down in the tank for cleaning. Also, being on the back of the unit it is hard to see the water level. I loved the older model that had the wide box like water tank in the center with the water level window you could see from the front. Just my opinion.Thank you Breville for making a great quality espresso machine!!! ☕️🥰

Title: Surprisingly good Breville customer service
Review: I've been very happy with this machine - purchased in 2020. However, water stopped flowing recently so I contacted Breville customer service---with low expectations, given all the negative reviews here. They were extremely responsive and helpful. They offered me two choices: ship the machine back to them at their expense, get a free no-obligation estimate for repairing the machine, which if I went ahead, would be guaranteed for 6 months OR accept a 25% discount off a new machine purchased through Breville. I went with option A. They sent me shipping materials and clear instructions within 48 hours, I received an estimate a couple of days later, which was more than I wanted to spend given that the machine was already 4 years old. I called and told them I didn't want to spend that much and received an email shortly thereafter reducing the labor charge by half. So I went ahead with the repair, the machine was repaired and shipped back to me at no charge a few days later, and is working well. So far.It was a pleasant, no-hassle experience from start to finish, and I believe worth the $125. Cheers.

Review: In the past we could never find a coffee machine that would heat up to a Hot temperature. After giving coffee machines a break for almost ten years. We were inspired to get a espresso machine after visiting Paris for the 3 rd time and every time we go there. We visit our favourite coffee shop for either an espresso or Americano!! We researched and researched until we were satisfied we bought or hoped to have bought the best possible espresso machine / Americano!! Yes you can make Americanos , and not just Espresso’s cappuccinos and lattes And Hot! Very Hot! Not those hot for 30 seconds and then cools down! One of my efforts to find the best espresso machines was to type into google “consumer top 10 espresso machines “. And this unit was # 2. # 1 was close to $1000 as it had a built in brr grinder. Not the smartest thing to do combing two units into one. What if one breaks down then your out of the other while in for repairs !Also found good research on YouTube, loads of information on this unit seeing it working and demonstrating all it can do. We were sold we were convinced this was the one! And we are so happy with the quality results! Taste quality and temp just like those fancy baristas with the commercial espresso machines costing thousands of dollars! We also purchased the matching smart pro grinder. The set and forget feature is awesome!!!! Why have a manual grinder when an automatic grinds and dispenses and shuts off because the dispenser is set up for this espresso machine. Set for 1 shot or two. And you can adjust dispenser time and it remembers your last timed grind and dispense! Over. All very easy to use and clean up of the espresso machine. The steamer is very very powerful! Italian made 15 bar pump. Sounds amazing just that we don't know what that means lol!!! I guess quality that performs! A handy feature too is that if you make a Americano instead of the espresso. You dispense hot water right after turning off the espresso shot then switch to hot water then bring to 3/4 near the top then add cream or milk. Either heat it with the included stainless steal pitcher or put the steamer nozzle directly into your coffee cup and warm it up with 135 deg steam! After a month of use we love it! We No longer buy coffee or espresso out unless we’re in Paris of course!
