Title: Outstanding ORAL Laxative
Review: I was on 4 different prescription medications and ALL of them had a constipation as a side effect! Their combined effect often left me in discomfort for days. I had tried every possible product recommended by my physicians, but none of them worked well or reliably. In preparation for a knee replacement I went to a joint training class given by the hospital, and during it they mentioned that patients had to move their bowels before being discharged. However, we were assured that if any of us had problems, the nurses would give the patient an 8 oz. cup of warmed prune juice with 2 tablespoons of melted butter and that the patient usually voided their bowels within 5 to 30 minutes! I picked up a bottle of prune juice after leaving the class, and gave the nurses' recipe a try. Aside from the fact that the taste and texture was sickeningly horrible (I mean really, really yucky!!), it did not work! Determined then to find something that really worked, I went online to Amazon and found that this tasteless food grade Sorbital Liquid was highly recommended. And, it made sense that it would work, because sorbitol is also used to sweeten sugar free candies and similar products and anyone who has ever eaten these kinds of sugar free foods knows the labels have warnings that "excessive consumption" (about 8 to 14 pieces of a given candy) can cause a strong laxative effect (often described as "explosive diarrhea"). When my bottle of Sorbital arrived a couple of days later, I took 3 tablespoons orally with a cup of hot tea, and had very gratifying results within a few hours. Since then, if I am experiencing any problems with irregularity, I take anywhere from 1.5 to 3 tablespoons depending on my symptoms, with a cup of hot tea and always get relief within 1 to 5 hours. Highly recommend this product!

Title: Buyer beware This is not for oral use.
Review: I bought This for my daughter to help with constipation. Once we got it and looked at the instructions it states rectal use only.. I think that information should be on the front if the product. This is not returnable so I am out the money.

Title: My favorite laxative
Review: In 2009, when I was taking narcotics following a knee replacement, my pharmacist recommended Sorbitol for the constipation that the narcotics caused. It is very pleasant to take (it's an artificial sweetener), you can take it any time of day, it doesn't cause cramps, and it doesn't cause urgency or liquid stools. I usually take 2 Tablespoons or so ( I gulp it from the bottle, since I am the only one who uses it). I can't think of any reason not to use this laxative. By the way, it doesn't interfere with any other medicines you might be taking. Also, it is safe for children. I highly recommend it.

Title: Efficient
Review: Was told to use this for colonoscopy prep. Directions on the back are for rectal use but it can be taken orally. I drank 4 oz mixed with water and followed by lots of water at three different times according to Dr instructions. It was not nasty salty like most preps, however it is pure sugar water which was gross in its own way. I found it easier to hold my breath, chug it and before Iâd breath take a swig of lemon bubble water to cut the taste. This really helped. Product worked within one to two hours. It worked better than my prescription preps used in the past. Have some Costco toilet butt wipes ready, because youâll need them... saves you the pain of using just TP. Happy prepping!

Customers say
Customers like the effectiveness, ease of use, and sorbitol content of the medication. They mention it works well, is pleasant to take, and has a high-quality source of 70% sorbitol. Some also like the laxative effect. However, some customers have reported that the description is misleading and the product information is poor. They dislike the saline content and disagree on its oral use.
