Title: Fantastic Connections
Review: When I ordered this unit I was in need of a device that would connect multiple pieces of equipment, Mirrorless Sony Camera, Interface, Computer, Ethernet, Mouse and Video Capture Card. It works as designed. My wife does a Wednesday evening live broadcast every week and we have absolutely no issues whatsoever.I bought this to replace the dongle that goes directly into my MacBook Air with the two inputs on the side. It frees up a port for power. The blue color looks nice next to my grey laptop.The build quality is solid and it connects instantly to my MacBook. I would recommend this unit to anyone looking to cut down on multiple devices to connect.

Title: Doesn’t work. Works perfectly..

Title: Necessary to have for USB-C devices
Review: This 8-in-1 Hiearcool USB C Hub functions perfectly and is compatible with my MacBook Air and my iPhone 15 Pro Max. I’m amazed that I could use ethernet and USB drives on them, and it provides any ports I’ll ever have to need. The USB C connector on it does seem to charge at a maximum of 100W, and the USB drives have good speeds.I had no issues with the temperature becoming too high, and the sleek design of this product makes it easy to carry around in a backpack or bag. It is straightforward to use, just plug it into a USB C port, and connect the accessory to the hub.However, I do have to give it a 4-star review because of the hub’s subpar quality of the casing. It's somewhat sturdy, but that's about it. The front of the ethernet port’s metal is starting to bend, and once, when I unplugged the ethernet cable, it took the entire casing with it, but it was a simple fix to put it back. Additionally, you have to exercise caution with the hub's USB C cable as it appears that excessive bending can harm it.Overall, this USB C hub works flawlessly but has a few problems in the design.

Review: **UPDATE: the seller quickly offered me a full refund of my defective product, even though I bought it months prior, which gives me confidence that I simply got a bad version.**This seems well built -- the two biggest problems are:1) the SD card reader doesn't work (the SD card never mounts when it's plugged into my macbook)2) You can't use the usb-c outlet port to send your laptop's screen to a second display; you have to use the hdmi only.I'm not sure if they gave me a bad product, or if this is a problem with all of them.

Title: A good product but not appropriate for high throughput data xfers
Review: This hub works fine to connect multiple USB devices to your computer while displaying on an external monitor over HDMI. It thus does what it is says it does. I had difficulty using with an application that pumps data over an "active" USB cable between 2 computers. My Dell mini hub handled it just fine but the data xfer kept on failing when using this hub. This is a very special use case when the 2 computers handshake during data transfers. Max USB-A data xfer: 350MB/s. This hub works well for everything else. OK value.

Title: Not usable at all as an HDMI port for my monitor
Review: I bought this mainly to connect my monitor to my Macbook Air. I previously had a VAVA hub which had worked well but the USB ports on it were starting to go. This Hiearcool hub - I plugged it in, and my monitor looked like a PC from 1982, so low resolution. No way to fix it.I tried to return it, but the first time I tried, I just ran into a dead end saying "contact the vendor". I was busy with work and usually, the return windows on Amazon are long. I tried to return today - the window closed after 30 days and I'm a week too late. So I paid a lot of money for a crappy product.Meanwhile, desperate for a hub, I made sure to get the VAVA brand again and it works perfectly. This compeny that makes Hiearcool is crap all around - bad service, bad product.
