The Bose TV Speaker helps you hear your TV better. It’s a small sound bar that clarifies speech and improves overall TV sound. Inside the TV speaker there are two full-range drivers angled to deliver wide, spacious sound and a center tweeter specifically focused on elevating vocals. Built-in Dolby decoding helps further enhance this compact TV speaker’s audio capabilities to deliver a more realistic and satisfying listening experience. Designed with simplicity in mind, this small soundbar only uses a single connection to the TV via an optical audio cable (included) or an HDMI cable (sold separately) and has you up and running in minutes. At just over 2" tall, the Bose TV Speaker is a compact sound bar that can be placed just about anywhere. And small LED lights on the front of this small soundbar turn on and/or change color for visual confirmation when certain features are enabled. They also blink in acknowledgement of volume changes. The Bose TV Speaker has HDMI-CEC, which allows the TV and this small soundbar to communicate when connected with an HDMI cable. Meaning when you turn the TV on, the TV speaker will automatically turn on too. With this technology, you can even keep using your current TV remote to control the volume of this compact soundbar. However, the Bose TV Speaker comes with its own remote. And on it, you can enable “dialogue mode” on the TV speaker to elevate vocals even more or press the “bass” button for some extra depth. This compact soundbar also is a Bluetooth soundbar. Simply press the Bluetooth button on the remote to pair your device to this Bluetooth TV speaker and wirelessly stream your favorite music or podcasts. You can also expand your system at any time by adding a wired subwoofer to the Bluetooth TV speaker for a more home-theater-like experience. The Bose TV Speaker is compatible with the Bose Bass Module 500 and 700 and requires the Bose Bass Module Connection Cable or a standard 3.5 mm audio cable, sold separately.

Title: Very nice Bose quality
Review: I bought this to replace the cheap logitech 2.1 speaker system I was using for my media center due to not being able to hear vocals with movies even with an equalizer. And I am not disappointed. This speaker system is perfect. I mean, anything would have been better but this is just "wow". Mind you, I am not expecting a dolby digital surround setup that shakes my floors. I just wanted a good balance of vocals and music with a bit of depth. And this sound bar does it. I also love the auto-on feature. You can adjust the base output by follow the directions as well but don't expect much and expect it to distort the other audio when you do. You can also purchase the quite expensive Bose base system to add-on if you wish. But if you just want good sound to watch Lord of the Rings that hooks up using an AUX cable, this is it.

Title: The sound is so good, the ease of use was not
Review: Using Arc should be super simple and straight forward, I hooked it up to a Roku TV, and it worked but everytime the TV turned off the volume would not turn up or down, I had to reboot the TV. So I switched to optical and it wouldn't let me control the volume at all from the roku remote I thought I would just have to live with 2 remotes, but then tried again to go into Roku and took off all the CEC settings, then I also used the bose guide to try to play around with the settings on the sound bar... to be honest I have no idea what I eventually did, but now it works, and after turning off the tv the volume still works. I think I set both devices not to power off or allow cec, and that eventually did it. But super pleased with it after that initial setup glitch.

Title: Finally, a simple solution to the madhouse of audio alternatives for television
Review: I had a Bose one piece sound system many years ago. Really enjoyed it. It eventually gave up so I started down the dark hole of soundbars. In about 10 years I've had 3 and with each one there was always something that wouldn't sound right, mainly when someone talks and there's music in the background, only the music that's supposed to hang back instead blares like a foghorn and drowns out the dialogue. I have to admit the last one, a Vizio, soundbar only, no subwoofer or surround speakers, did it's best to keep the dialogue to within reach. It's main issue was it wouldn't cooperate with a Vizio TV, wouldn't maintain a setting if you had the ability to pay it. So, I'm back to the simple Bose TV Speaker. Ya got two settings, bass and dialogue. There are others but they don't involve audio. It plugs into my Vizio TV via HDMI eARC (cable not included), but it does come with an optical cable and I plugged it in but isn't required. ARC allows my TV remote and Fire Stick remote to control the soundbar volume which is the only thing you really need to control once you set the soundbar with it's own remote to be controlled by other devices and the sound setting you like (your choice of two or both at the same time, why not go for it). I can hear music, I can hear voices, I can hear them both at the same time and anyone who says you need a small room to use it in is probably wanting more than the bar can deliver regarding audio. It's plenty loud. Where I sit fairly far from the TV and the room is kind of open concept leading to not open concept, like rooms elsewhere. I can hear it through out the house. Good bass too. Okay I said two settings but the bass actually has 3 levels. The longest portion of the entire setup from unpacking to connection and listening was the unpacking. It's packed pretty well. Good things come in small packages they say, this is one of them. I recommend this to anyone who doesn't require sound bouncing from the holes in their shoes and from the coffee mug sitting beside them. It's a great sounding speaker that removes the requirement of having to take a course or two in sound engineering and makes listening to TV simple and comfortable and enjoyable again, you don't have to constantly change the audio settings to work with the video. It just works.

Title: Not Worth It!!
Review: This Bose TV Speaker has pretty good sound quality for the tv because it does sound better than the tv speakers and better volume and the speech is a little clearer, but that's about as far as it goes.I purchased this sound bar after looking at many, but mostly because I have been a Bose fan for many decades and in the days of them becoming to where they are now everything was exceptional until I received this product.Bose dropped the ball on this one and seem to be living now off their name of top-quality products and service in the past and you know what starts to happen when you cut back on the quality, you start to lose your long time customers and no repurchase's from most new ones so business starts to decline, and we all know what has happened to big companies in the past. You charge high dollars so put back in the quality you use too.For two days I have been trying to get a simple question answered from them and no response. After purchasing this product, I have come to realize the only subwoofer I can add to this sound bar which has poor bass, is programed only for their brand, and their cheapest woofer starting at $500.00 plus, that is ridicules. The Bluetooth is version is 4.2, that came out around 2011 or 12 so outdated, much cheaper brands even have the newer versions, heck the remote is not even Bluetooth! You have to make sure no other devices have Bluetooth on to connect to a single device you want par and listen two, a lot of others allow two at once so you can switch back and forth. There is absolutely no way to turn on or control the sound bar if you lose the remote, battery goes bad or if the remote goes bad, but we all know that does not happen now does it?For a 300-dollar soundbar especially from Bose I expected more, half was for the name and the other half for the actual worth of the unit and to get more bass I need to spend over $500.00 more when other top brand units come with a sound bar for under $300.00. I should be able to connect other subwoofer brands to this unit but from all my checking only a couple of people have gotten lucky, I have two and neither one will work with this unit when I connected them, so It's kind of like I gotcha from Bose if you want to upgrade your sound bar for $500.00 plus more to Bose.Yes, looks like this one is going back to Bose.Update: I decided to keep the speaker even as disappointed as I am with this so outdated speaker and mine was made in 2023 and then 28 days after using it just stopped working after being on for about a hour and a half, it only blinks the two lights white 3 times and turns the tv side light green and does this over and over again and will not turn off unless you unplug it, plug it back up and light off a couple of minutes then automatically turns back on and starts the same process over and over, So much for quality Bose I did not even get a months' worth of use and thank goodness I had two days left to return, never again for me Bose. Service is nonexistent never got a answer for a simple question I sent earlier so just imagine how it is with a real problem.

Review: I have had a Bose TV speaker since the dawn of time and, much to my sorrow, it gave up the ghost on December 21st. Amazon is my go-to for shopping (I live way off the beaten track on Vancouver Island) so I ordered a replacement--Bose again, great price, all the features, great reviews--and sat back to wait for delivery "by 29 December". Next day, 22 December, what to my wondering eyes should appear but my new speaker! I NEVER expect overnight deliveries, so this was a little Christmas miracle! The speaker is a cinch to set up, and a great new (smaller) size. The quality of sound is both legendary and state of the art. It's perfect for my modest TV system. A very merry purchase.
