Conventional mashers can be awkward to store due to their long handle and mashing head that are fixed at right angles to each other. The Delta solves this problem as the head can be neatly folded flat after use. Before using, simply lock the mashing head in position with the small sliding collar located on the shaft. After use, slide the collar back up the shaft and secure it at the base of the handle. In addition to being easier to store, Delta is more efficient to use. Its curved mashing plate is designed to fit better into the edges of a pan or bowl, which means more potato is squashed with each plunge of the masher. Suitable for non-stick cookware. Dishwasher safe.

Title: Works great and so easy to store in the utensil drawer!!
Review: I have been wanting a masher but had been doing without for years. Because I have a tiny kitchen and they are just too bulky to fit into the utensil drawer, so I had been using other means to mash my potatoes… but never 100% happy and each time lamenting how I wished I had a real one… Well, my wish for one has come true. Not only does it work perfectly I can fold it so it seamlessly fits in the utensil drawer. My life is now complete. 😂

Title: Storage Problem Solved!
Review: There are many products available that mash potatoes, but they’re bulky and hard to fit in a drawer. This product not only mashes potatoes thoroughly, but also collapses to fit in my kitchen drawer. The sliding lock mechanism holds the mashing surface in place while using. Its shape also follows contours of the pot so that potatoes are evenly mashed. Easy cleanup, easy to use.

Title: Perfect replacement to my Pampered Chef masher
Review: My husband broke my Pampered Chef potato masher. I would have replaced it with the exact same one but then my husband would have broke it again. LOL The design by Pampered Chef was flawed. This masher I had reservations about. Well, I should not have. I LOVE THIS MASHER. The ability to fold to fit in the drawer is amazing. I was wonderfully surprised at the sturdiness of the masher. This is truly an excellent masher.

Title: Love and yet, disappointed.
Review: This is amazing for what it does well. The folding bit so I can actually store it in a drawer without rage-burning my house down out of frustration to what these things do to drawer accessibility is wonderful. The lock you use to lock it in place is sturdy, if a bit tight, and I don't feel like it's going to come undone and trip me up mid-use. However, sometimes I like my mashed potatoes with the skins still on and this is no good for that, as the skins get more than annoyingly stuck in the holes. You can power through if you're dedicated enough on a small batch, but I'd never in my wildest use this for a family who liked the skins on.

Title: Easy to use
Review: Absolutely love that I finally have a potato masher that can fit in the drawer! It's actually very sturdy, you simply have to use it as it was designed and slide down the little connector piece. Anyone who says it collapses while using it clearly doesn't understand that you have to make the joint area sturdy. Once the little piece is slid into place, it stays put. Slide it back up when you're finished and out collapses again.It's a little bit harder to clean due to the tiny holes, but if you rise it off right after use it cleans up much easier.

Review: I love that this folds flat to be stored in a drawer. I agree with others about needing to be careful to make sure the crevices where it folds are very clean but it's easy to do that and worth being able to store it away without it getting stuck on the drawer. Works very well as a masher when it is locked into the open position, really glad to have found it.

Review: I tried a different non-stick pan safe masher that overwhelmingly under performed to stated benefits. this product has a wide plastic non-stick safe pan masher on the end of a swivel down stainless steel down rod that provides ample leverage to mash your food product. It does not crumple under the vigorous pressure of food mashing and performs as expected
