Title: Great way to get service since ATT no longer sells these.
Review: We have ATT fixed wirless but they have basicly stopped supporting it and now say we have no option where we live to upgrade. I purchase a box for my son and it works great untill it stopped so I got 2 more for back ups. One did not work but got a replacement so we are good for awhile I hope. Heads up ATT will say they are not supported and will not work , they did not want to get me a active sims card and told me they would not work . I tried to tell them that is what I have and I am grandfathered in but got no where. I went online ordered the cards to add 2 line on my cell service like I was adding my 2 old phones back on that I have back on put the cards in the boxes and they work great. Now I can use them in these boxes or use them in the phones for hot spots when I go out. Unfortunatly Att is all I can get here and if I can't keep a box I am out of luck !. Thanks for keeping these old boxes so we can keep service.

Title: Just what I needed.
Review: This is almost identical to a ten year old ATT Homebase that wanted to upgrade. I bought the first one at the local ATT store but ATT doesn’t sell these anymore. They told me to check Amazon. This device gives you a home WiFi system with a cellular source. It also converts your land line into a cell system. Despite what the seller claims, it IS basically a HOMEBASE and is much more than just a wifi router.Because the new unit takes a smaller SIM card than the original homebase, I couldn’t just swap cards.I had to go to the ATT store to have a new SIM card set up. Took just a few minutes. No cost.Plugged it all in at home and fired it up. Works great and gives me a much stronger signal with the two optional antennas. The original unit had no way to attach exterior antennas. This is perfect for an area with no access to broadband except via a cellular signal.

Title: Filled a need AT&T no longer supports.
Review: I had one of these from AT&T when they replaced the old 3G version that made my home phone a "cellular" phone. It lasted about 6 months. Reached out and they said, "take it to an AT&T outlet". They replaced the SIM and all was good...for about 3 months. Took it back again and they replaced the SIM again, but it never worked. They told me that they no longer support these. Well, what to do???Support had me on the phone for 2 hours only to tell me that I would either need to buy a cell phone to use my home number, convert back to landline, drop my home phone number or buy one of these from a website.Well, let's see...Buy a $1000 cell phone, give up a number that's been tied to all contacts for 30 years, pay $70+ per month for a landline or buy from a third party. Well, I can buy one of these every month and be ahead of that conversion back and I see no need to buy a new phone, make payments and a $35 monthly fee for it to sit on a table and I didn't want to have to change every contact list I have, so I decide to buy this.Took the SIM out of the old one, popped it in here and had home phone service again in less than 20 minutes.Hopefully this one will work much better than the AT&T supplied one.

Title: easy to setup and dependable
Review: This is a repeat purchase as we used one from a cell company for about two years traveling and working out of our RV. Remote locations sometimes required an external antennae. My partners employer has a bandwidth requirement for work from home. This never let us down and we have the first one still. They are for use in a multi-WAN set up so I can WFH from camp. At this price they are a screaming deal. It came with an ATT

Title: Replaced ZTE MF279
Review: A month later still working great (with new battery).Original Review:We've had AT&T for a while. The old ZTE MF279 died. We bought this to replace it. It came with phone cord, power cord, some other cord we don't use, plus a dead battery. (This description does state no battery included, so they must know these are old batteries.) I replaced my sim card, used my 5 year old (or so) battery from the dead ZTE MF279, plugged it up, turned it on and some lights worked (including the battery). Called AT&T and they did whatever on their end, and a half hour after opening the box we are up and running. (I did buy another battery to replace this old one just in case. It'll arrive in about a week, and I think we'll use the new battery when it arrives.)

Customers say

Customers like the ease of setup and speed of the networking router. They mention it's dependable and noticeably faster than the Netgear. However, some customers differ on functionality, signal quality, and value for money.
