Title: The most comfortable headphones I've used
Review: Corsair HS80 Wireless with custom cooling gel ear pads. I bought them after the Void Elite Wireless (with the same ear pads), and I'm as happy as an elephant. In my opinion, ear pads with cooling gel are the best, because the sound becomes much richer. After buying the HS80, I immediately wanted the same ear pads that I bought for the Void Elite Wireless (Misodiko Cooling Gel). I can't help but note the presence of Dolby Atmos. Thanks to it, positioning in games has become much better, watching a movie has become much more enjoyable. The microphone has the clearest sound, but sometimes it lacks volume, but this is solved by amplifying the microphone in iCUE. They hold a charge all day, but I put them on charge every night. The operating range is short, but the connection speed is instant. Rarely after interrupting the connection and reconnecting, the microphone quality deteriorates, but this is solved by restarting the headphones. When connected to an iPhone (it does not matter, with a TYPE-C cable or connecting the transmitter directly to the phone) at maximum volume in the phone, the headphone sound is at 75-80 percent. You need to turn the volume control in order to set the sound to 100%. And when connecting the transmitter to the phone, the keyboard on the iPhone stops opening. But music from Apple Music to Lossless and Dolby Atmos sounds simply perfect in these headphones in my opinion. When you put them on charge, they turn on and stay with the backlight on. When you turn off the voice prompts, they stop making a sound signal when you turn off or turn on the microphone. On the Void Elite Wireless, when I turned them off, the sound prompts remained. Display battery charge. On the same Void Elite Wireless, although not very accurately, the percentage of charge was displayed, and on the HS80 only 4 states: High, medium, low and critical. And so, not counting these disadvantages, as for me, these are excellent headphones that you can safely buy (This also applies to the HS80 Max version)

Title: The mic is fantastic
Review: The headphones aren't bad either. I bought these used for a lower price, so that may be affecting my perception, but they really do sound great on both ends. If you watch reviews for them on YouTube, you really can't tell when they switch from using their professional microphones to using the audio from these. That's impressive for a headset, my god. The RGB lights are annoying, but that can be handled with their iCUE software on WIndows and Mac. For Linux users, you're kinda effed, but if you set the RGB profile the way you want while connected to a real OS, the profile will remain on the hardware no matter what Linux distro you're using them with. ( I use suicide BTW)They're comfortable on the ears, and the head, though they may not fit a small person/child. The build quality is excellent. I will make complaints as I have them, but for now I have none. They might be a little much in the high-frequency range, but that can be knocked out with an equalizer. Good product. They sound just as good as other headphones in their price range, maybe better, and then the mic sounds just as good as a dedicated omnidirectional you would buy for $50. Well worth the price IMO.

Title: Premium audio hardware plagued by sub-par software, an expensive own-goal
Review: UPDATE SEPTEMBER 13 2022-- iCUE now remembers sidetone settings. Good job Corsair, have a star back.-----------My PC is a "Corsair" build, with iCUE handling my audio, my mouse and keyboard, my CPU cooler, and my case fans. After picking up the HS80 my loyalty to Corsair has been rewarded with frequent crashes, audio delays and distortion, and constant maintenance of software that's supposed to - by design - not need constant maintenance.I'm impressed with the build quality. The earcups and elastic suspension headstrap feel substantial and do a good job isolating outside sound. The boom mic is comfortable and microphone quality is the best Corsair has offered to date.Past Corsair headsets have had surround audio built-in to iCUE. The HS80 comes stereo out of the box and "supports surround audio" through external tools: either Windows Sonic or Dolby Atomos from the Windows Store. Dolby Atomos is Corsair-recommended, but iCUE does not handle this integration gracefully. Windows struggles to negotiate audio processing between iCUE and Dolby Atomos, resulting in delayed pre-caching and extended load times of 30-45 seconds per instance. Opening a dozen YouTube tabs and waiting a minute for each one to play nice with Dolby and iCUE, freezing my whole PC during the wait, makes listening to music or watching videos painful. Corsair's "recommended feature" - and part of the premium expense of this product - is better off completely ignored. The HS80's volume wheel has a click-in button that lets you switch between Equalizer presets. This only toggles iCUE's built in stereo equalizer - which gets disabled if you utilize Windows Sonic or Dolby Atomos. This click-in button can't be remapped in iCUE. Another premium feature that is totally worthless in practice.Microphone sidetone settings constantly reset because iCUE can't remember an on/off binary state. iCUE has never handled sidetone correctly in the past 3 years I've used multiple Corsair headsets so this is not a surprise. If you prefer sidetone, you'll never forget to constantly re-enable it with the HS80, because iCUE can't be bothered to do it right.iCUE does not handle wandering gracefully - you are "wireless" but not totally untethered from your desk. Walking out of wireless dongle range causes problems. The headset will reconnect, but sometimes audio processing will become corrupted, or your microphone output will sound higher or lower pitched to listeners. Your friends will tell you your mic is broken after they're done laughing or complaining in VC.Plugging power into the headset to recharge it midway through a gaming session causes the entire headset to turn off and on again, which can cause iCUE to crash. Turning the headset off and plugging it in to charge while still using the computer can cause iCUE to crash. Exiting wireless range can cause iCUE to crash. Troubleshooting surround audio can cause iCUE to crash. Nothing about the premium features justifying this headset's price are supported by the software responsible for making it all work.If you don't mind troubleshooting your own PC this is a great headset. If you want something that just works, buy a wired Corsair headset, or go for a different non-Corsair wireless brand.

Title: High Quality gaming headset
Review: All around a very comfortable headset. The audio quality is great and you have the ability to set your own audio profiles through the icue app (and much more). The microphone quality struggled initially when the headset first came out but that was repaired through a firmware update so donât worry if youâve seen reports of that before because itâs no longer an issue. The microphone quality is also much better than most gaming headsets to date and it being bluetooth really adds a cherry on top because those donât really go hand in hand. They hold up very well but my only complaint is that the earphones wore out after a while but theyâre very easily replaceable with custom ones so you donât have to worry there either. Itâs honestly a great headset.

Review: As I said I got these after the Vâs. I originally loved those for like 2-3 years but as time went on they were too heavy for my head and gave me migraines, the pleather on them quickly wears down -but- the sound quality was top notch. I bought these because a friend put me on the headset strap design, he has the steel series of similar value. I tried them but I hated the sound in comparison. Tried my GFs razor kraken ( the kitty ear ones of course) to see if I like razors sound profile. Way too much bass. But theseSame great sound quality as my Vs with a little more bass but only enough to make the sound feel fuller. I play tarkov/squad/war thunder/ and other games where sound plays a key role in the game hence why I was picky but these are like the Porsche Caymen if the Vâs were the Porsche 911. Same great unmaskable quality and feel. The thing you miss out on and where the extra money goes to with the Vâs is the things that come with it and the bodies construction imoThe HS80âs arent completely metal like the Vâs and donât come with a cross stitched magnetic bag to carry them in but theyâre hands down the my favourite headset Iâve tried.Iâve triedVirtuosoâs (8.5/10)Razor kraken kitty ear (6.5/10)Razor black shark V2 (7.5/10)Steel series arctic nova proâs (7.5/10)JBL Quantum 910âs (6.5/10)ROG certa 2âs (in ear headphones but wouldnât call them IEMâs) (4.5/10)
