Title: Easy to set up
Review: I got this device after trying some other piece of junk. Instructions are clear and concise. It was very easy and quick to set up. Signal is strong. My phone will pick it up all over the house but signal strength does vary depending on my location. So when I'm in the basement I will use this device, but when I go up to the bedroom I will connect directly back to the router. So my only issue with this thing is my phone will not automatically switch between this and the router. Not a big deal, I just have to remember to switch the connection when I'm in the basement on the opposite side of the house from the router.

Title: Just what I needed
Review: This little thing works like a charm. For 2-days i was having issues with my laptop staying connected to my wifi even with my phone and tv staying connected just fine. My IT team didnt really find anything wrong even when they worked on it. Afterwards I took my laptop home to see what they fixed helped; it did and my laptop was able to stay connected for a bit but experienced the same issue after 20-min. Did a little research about boosting my wifi…the rest is history! Def happy with this purchase and it was all worth it for the price.

Title: Perfect for a little extra range, but not for speed.
Review: This range extender does do exactly what it says it will. I am using it to extend a 5G network to a backroom in the house that had a super weak signal from the main router. The extender is about 45 to 50 feet from the main router and seems to pick up the signal just fine. Now the speed advertised is way higher than I have been able to achieve. Using the 5G signal directly from my router I get download speeds of around 550mbps. Using the range extender I get between 100mbps and 110mbps. The speed tests on the extender were done standing withing 2 feet of the extender, 10 feet away, and about 20 feet (line of sight) and the download speeds were pretty constant. Not a huge issue for me as I'm not trying to use the extender for gaming, just streaming movies and music mostly and using my laptop and phone. The extender came with minimal packaging, which I actually appreciate. I don't like having small items packaged in large boxes with all kinds of packing materials I have to dispose of. The included instructions were pretty simple and easy to follow. Setup start to finish took less than 10 minutes. I was able to use the WPS linking which makes setup super simple. I do have a Netgear router supplied by my ISP, I don't know it that made linking any easier or not. Once setup, I accessed the extender's internal settings on my laptop and set it up how I wanted it. There are a lot of extra features available so if you are a novice with these types of appliances you might want to ask someone for some help on some of the more technical settings. I like that I can log in and see how many things are currently logged into or using the extender and what they are (computer, phone, TV, Amazon Echo Show, etc.). The range extender has been online for about a week now and I have had no problems with it. I have had to unplug the extender a couple of times to restart it but that was not the fault of the extender, it is a problem with the equipment supplied by my ISP. So, to that point, if your internet shuts off or your router gets restarted you might need to unplug the extender to reacquire the necessary signal to extend your Wi-Fi. I give this range extender 4 stars rather than 5 simply because of the slower download speeds. Again, if all you want to do is basic streaming and web surfing this extender works great, even when you have 6 or 7 things using it. Would I buy another one if I decide to extend our Wi-Fi signal the other direction in our house? Yes, I would. Simple and effective for what I need.

Title: 5 stars IF it worked
Review: Plugged it in about 1/2 way between my router and my smart HISENSE 70" TV. Maybe 25 feet from the router. (My Routrer is Fiber Optic runs at 500meg, no problem with it at all or my internet connection. I can streeam all day long on my computer in the office next to the router)). Came up and looked like it was ready to go. Had all the light lite. Turned on the Smart TV, had to link it to the NEW WiFi addrfess. No Problem (The 1st time) watrched a streamed video and it seem to work great for the first 3-4 minutes. Then it frooze and buffered for about 3-4 minutes. showed 3-4 buffered for 3-4. I reset the Range Extender and tried all over again. Had to link my Smart TV a 2nd time. Same results. as it was getting late in the evening I decided I would wait until the morning and mess with it. After about an hour of messing with it, I moved it to the same room different outlet but may 10 feet from the router itself. Had to link my Smart TV several times as it would drop signal saying WEAK signal. I called TECH Support Told them what I had done and they say I had to move it CLOSER to the router! Only way I could get any closer would be to plug it into the same outlet as the router. But Hey I tried it. No Good, Smart TV wouldn't even see the Extender. Told the Tech Rep and they said it might take 24-48 hours to set itself up and hung up on me. I waited two days with it plugged into the same outlet as the router and My cell phone would see the Extender and hook to it. But the TV wouldn't even see it. So I moved it back down the hall stright line from the router about 25 feet. I can see the router when I plugged in the Extender. Waited 2 days and it FINALLY showed it was connected. Link My TV to the router and it started buffering. My Cell phone was connected to the Extender and If I walked outside the cell phone would disconnect from the Extgender and connect to the router, After I entered the password. I have tried everything I know to do with it. After jackling with it for about 3 weeks I had gone past the return window to Amazon. I tried calling Netgear and went through 20 minutes of button pushing only to be disconnected. EACH TIME I CALLED. So I guess I have a high dollar trout line weight. My Smart TV workes better without the extender! I can watch about 30-45 minutes of streaming video it will buffer for amybe 10-15 seconds and Im back to watching again. The extender would show 3-4 minutes of video then buffer for the same length of time. Would I BUY THIS AGAIN? Are you kidding me? I have used netgear products before and had pretty good luck with them, BUT this POS has cured me and the NON-extient Tech HELP added to it. No I would Not Waste my money on this Range extender.Did I mention that every time I tried to use the extender I had to go into the device settings and reset the password on every device that TRIED to connect to it. When the extender would drop off line the devices would try to connect back directly to the router. I would have to again set each password. It tied my home security sysem in a knott with TWO WiFi connects. I had to completely redo my home security and automation system thanks to this POS. It is now located in a drawer waiting for my next fishing trip or target practice at the gun range.

Review: Before buying this product do your research, it works as intended, easy to set up and use. It is a repeater and will extend your internet range. It will not increase your mbps, it will reduce your mbps as another device the signal passes through before reaching your iPhone iPad etc.

Review: Es muy fácil de instalar pero muestra ciertas limitaciones para traspasar la señal en muros, eso limita su alcance. Lo recomiendo sin perder de vista esta limitación, tampoco ofrece una opción para conectarse mediante un cable de ethernet.
