Over half of Americans live with a chronic illness and forty percent suffer from obesity, primarily due to the overconsumption of sugar and refined carbohydrates. Seven Steps to Get Off Sugar and Carbohydrates provides a day-by-day plan to wean your body off these addictive products. These changes in your eating habits will start your lifestyle journey to the abundant life Jesus wants you to experience.
You will learn how to:
Decrease brain fog and lose weight
Choose foods that benefit versus foods that damage—the ones God gave us to eat, not the food industry
Find healthy food alternatives and plan your menu
Recognize the emotional reasons we overeat and the science behind food addiction and a candida infection (overgrowth of yeast in the gut)
Identify food triggers and use God’s Word to fight impulsive eating
Locate resources—educational videos and books, meal planning, support organizations, and recipes.
Jesus said in John 10:10, “The thief’s purpose is to steal, kill and destroy. My purpose is to give life in all its fullness” (TLB).
Are you living life in its fullness? Is your health or weight impeding you from embracing a healthy, bountiful life? If you take these simple seven steps, you will regain the life God created you for. You will love the new you!

Title: Help for Food Addiction
Review: This book provides a timely antidote to the epidemic of obesity in society. It is written from a Christian worldview think this is very helpful as many Christians deal with food addiction. The book is well referenced guide to healthier eating with a step by step guide and numerous link to additional help materials. There were some interesting facts in the book including an explanation of how gluten levels have increased in wheat. I would have like to see additional justification for some of the books viewpoints for example not eating genetically modified feed. Overall I found the book to be extremely though provoking, the use of language highly evocative and I enjoyed the personal anecdotes provided by the author. I hope this book will be widely read and be more tool to reduce societyâs abuse of sugar and junk food calories.

Title: Inspiring & Sensible Way to Eat to Be Healthy by Following God's Path!
Review: I stumbled upon this book when I was browsing nutrition books on audio. I'm a new Christian (baptized earlier this Jan.) and because this book is based on God's path, it's one of the reasons why I chose it and bought all three paperbacks (and bought the audio version of the main book with my Audible account).I've learned about sugar and flour being detrimental to health, and also researched ketogenic nutrition. I believe a no-sugar, no-flour lifestyle is the way to go. I'm still struggling, but I have not finished the study guide yet. I will get to where I need to be, I believe it because of this book.Last year, I was on a doctor monitored nutrition plan of no-sugar, no-flour and in six weeks my blood pressure was normal, my cholesterol was normal, and my blood sugar was normal. Finally! I relapsed, but now that I have faith and these books, I'm on my way to being my healthiest. I am not giving up! This is what God wants for us all. This is the way God intended us to be.There is one contradiction in the book that I think I figured out and that is... the mention of not eating peanuts. Although peanuts are naturally grown in the ground, one of God's natural foods, it is one of the nastiest crops ever because of the way they are grown, right? So unless they are non-GMO peanuts, they should not be eaten, right?

Title: You Might Have Missed This...
Review: Like many people I eat too much stuff (junk) that has limited nutritional value. And like many people I'm finding that my resolve to do better isn't enough to change my habits. Fair enough. So I bought Ms. Neal's book in the hope that I could gain some insight into proven methods to eat better. And form durable, long-standing, healthy addictions (to replace sugar, simple carbohydrates, etc.). After reading the Introduction and Step 1 (chapter 1), I do believe there may be value in the steps put forth here. Medical jargon is found. Personal examples are put forth. All suggesting that a better diet will lead to better health. However, there also is a healthy dose of religion. Page 11 asks the reader to begin by "making a contract with God" and to "place your success in his loving hands". This isn't the forum for a religious debate, but I know that my success at improving my diet rests squarely on my shoulders. Invoking His name to help me along is silly, a bit lazy, not my cup-of-tea. This facet of the book tends to detract from my expectations of success.

Title: Changing my life
Review: I have been on a spiritual path for sometime now and somehow I found this book. As I was reading it, it was amazing how it connected to the issues that I was having it seemed like the missing link that I needed. Iâve tried all these different diet and couldnât stick to them. They were confusing. Now, in this 7 Steps book I understand what to do to change my eating habits and it is simple and easy to implement. I found I had an overgrowth of Candida in my gut and this book is guiding me to get rid of it so my cravings stop. I feel like God brought me to this solution. It has been 1 week since I have began the plan I can not believe how great I feel. I would strongly recommend this book I love the spiritual aspect of it as well! I feel as though I will get my life back very soon!Tammie

Title: This is the Real Deal. For those who are Ready to Face Their Truth Only.
Review: Awesome. Amazing. Astounding. The book was so good I read it all in one day. Took general notes of the information. But plan to go back and re-read and re-read and re-read to become a disciplinary in this part of my life. Such real talk. Such real events. I felt as if I was having a conversation with the author. And she already knew exactly where I was and had already been on this path. This has been a personal struggle of mine for well over 10 years. My start date is next week to begin my journey. I pray for my future. But I know if I follow these guidelines I surely will be at the beginning of my lifestyle change. This is not a fad diet. And get skinny quick scheme. This is for those who want to interact and be honest with there selves. Be humble before the Lord and admit that they have an âaddictionâ thank you for this book Susan. You are the first book that actually hit me at a spot that I can understand and interpret. It gives the whys and howâs. I am anxious to get started but will first spend a week in prayer to reconnect my relationship with the Lord. Who will provide me the strength on my journey. Thank you thank you thank you for this book I hope to update my review in 3 months to give an update on how my journey is progressing. One day at a tome. I step at a time. Iâm thankful already for what is in store for me ahead. Something feels different in me when I read this book. Letting me know that something differ t had been sparked within me. I pray for my strength and the strength of all others who are already on, just begun, starting over on this journey. Canât wait to share my Testimony.

Title:
Review: From start to finish it is obvious Susan Neal is both knowledgable and passionate about this way of eating healthily. The advice is sound and the ideas good. I like the 7 steps which makes the plan much more accessible. This is a book written by a Christian for Christians and faith is a very strong part of it. There is a lot of information and the author outlines different foods and what you can eat. Hearing her, and her sisterâs stories made it much more practical and accessible. Overall a great book and a great plan, so why four stars rather than 5. For me I found there were to many references to buying The Daniel Plan book. Whilst I realise this plan is based on The Daniel Plan it would be good to have this explained. Otherwise a very practical and informative book and the author should be applauded

Review: This book has some good content, but the author has used it as an opportunity to push her religious beliefs to people, im interested in reducing my sugar intake, not thinking about joining a religion.
