Title: Reliable and weather-resistant outdoor cameras at affordable price
Review: I have 4 of these cameras, 2 of them have been outdoors for over 3 years, withstanding both heat, rain and freezing temperatures. They are easy to setup with the Zmodo app and very easy to add to Alexa as well. Note that there must be an electrical outlet nearby to power the cameras: they do not have any rechargeable batteries inside. This makes them a bit outdated, but I still love their reliability and durability.

Title: used these cameras for 7+ years now
Review: I've been using these cameras since 2017. Just bought my 8th camera today (Aug 2024). very good price. Easy to set up. The app works great and I can also put the cameras onscreen at work from my laptop. Notifications work great, I know within seconds when anybody pulls up in my driveway or walks up on one of my doors. I've never purchased the cloud storage. I rely solely on what is free which is notifications and on demand viewing. So far haven't needed cloud yet. HD looks great and has improved over the years. Some of my older cameras could use an upgrade but if it aint broke, don't fix it.

Title: A Decent Cheap Solution, if you don't need it for security purposes
Review: Of the four pack, two worked great, one had very poor night vision, and one had significant issues with displaying appropriate colors. The company quickly provided replacements for the two malfunctioning cameras.Pros:--Easy to set up.--Easy to mount.--Sturdy enough.--The phone app has a screen that shows all four cameras at once.--The phone app has the option to immediately start recording.--The night vision is better than I expected for the price.--I can grant access to other usersCons:--It 100% requires an active internet connection (it will not function on a wifi network alone)--There is a lag. Normally, it's 3-4 seconds. At times, it's 3-4 minutes. I assume this is due to network speed issues somewhere between here and wherever their servers are based.--While I can see all four cameras at once on my small phone screen, the web app you can access from a computer will not. You can view only one camera at a time, and they frequently time out and must be reloaded. You would not be able to use this system to have a "live look" constantly up on a screen somewhere.--The web app does not have a button to start recording.--The web app makes me log in each time I open it. It won't "remember me". This is pretty annoying if the dog is barking and I want to take a quick peek to see what's up out there.

Title: I HAVE almost 100 of these
Review: Zmodo cams are very durable and great because they use low bandwidth and have external antennas for better connectivity. I have been using these for like 10 years and they have worked like a champ. THE BEST PART is the free thumbnail clips that help in monitoring large properties with out having to comb through DVR footage. (These are motion activated clips like 5-10 seconds long that are free without cloud service) you can’t beat the price and quality!!

Title: you really should use something else
Review: I am a long time cloud admin and network engineer professionally. I used Zmodo for years at home. At one point I had 18 cameras, a doorbell camera and an NVR. 8 of the cameras were PoE and that was the only thing that worked well (until the proprietary low voltage PoE switch failed). I discovered the hard way that Zmodo abandoned PoE completely when I tried to get my PoE switch replaced and was told by Zmodo to go to ebay - that they had abandoned the product.The wireless cameras they decided to bank their fortunes on have very poor wireless range and the newer ones had absolutely horrible night performance. The setup was difficult as the cameras has a lot of trouble recognizing the QR code on the phone screen. They constantly dropped the network and required rebooting. After years of trying and failing to make the Zmodo system reliable, I had to abandon them entirely and completely replace them with ring cameras. I have to tell you, I've never been happier about security cameras since I went to ring. I don't have a local NVR but I don't care. It's like $30/year for unlimited cameras to keep the data in the cloud. They even have two way audio. They are stable, cheap (on prime day), incredibly easy to setup and manage and even support solar so I've got them in places I could never put Zmodo. The ring doorbell is the best there is bar none.

Review: They’re priced right and the video quality is great. However, they are made of metal. I noticed that right away, commenting thinking oh this is going to be great! Grabbed one and pulled it out of the box and before I could even think about installing it the screw on the body literally fell off in my hand. The metal broke not the screw. The actual metal casing of this camera was broken. So the next camera I got out of the box was intact. I hung it up. It’s working great but sadly I need the piece that broke in order to hang up the other camera so it was a 50-50 on this one for me.
