Title: Good product
Review: Works well. Very good sound reduction. Used on floor and doors of C Class motorhome. Hoping for good heat reduction as well, but haven't tested yet. Product is much easier to install below 80 degrees F. At about 90-95 degrees F it gets so sticky that the backing paper becomes impossible to peel off. Just let it cool and it works fine again. Easily moldable into recesses in the vehicle surface.

Title: Excellent Addition!
Review: Used on the roof of my car to insulate from the heat. It works!Used a layer of regular siless sound deadener. Followed by this triple layer stuff. Then some jute insulation stuck on with spray adhesive and foil tape. Finally a layer of foil faced bubble wrap. And, of course, the stock headliner. This stuff made a noticeable difference when layered with the regular siless sound deadener. With the additional layers of insulation my AC isn't struggling as much. Prior to putting on the headliner I noticed the insulation was cool to the touch. Even in hundred plus degree weather. So this triple layer material works very well when used as part of an overall strategy. My goal is a car that's cool and quiet. I plan to buy more to do the floor and doors of the car.

Title: Doesn't kill the 396
Review: Easy to install with a sharp razor knife. Use acetone to clean the knife blade every so often.I have a 65 Chevelle SS and I used 2 boxes with 2 1/2 sheets left over out of the second box. I like the fact that it killed a lot of road noise but didn't kill the sound of the 396 with ThrushMaster mufflers, I like that sound lol. I laid one edge down and as I went around the curves on the floor and used the razor knife to make a slice at the highest point of the curve and it laid flat. Really improved my sound system, I used this on the floors and sound foam sheets in the doors. Took me about 3 hours to do what you see but I'm old and slow, drank a beer or two and listened to music. It's worth the effort.

Title: Almost useless as deadening, but surprisingly good as a barrier/absorber
Review: So there's basically 3 things you want out of sound "deadening". The first is something to prevent panels from resonating, or "true deadening". This stuff is basically useless for that, use something with a metal foil backing that needs to be rolled on - I like stinger roadkill but I expect one of the other siless products would be just fine.Where this stuff shines is as absorber/barrier, the sort of thing you'd traditionally use a layer of closed-cell foam to scatter/absorb sound and then a layer of mass-loaded vinyl to block sound. It's not as heavy as MLV, and it's not as thick as CCF, but it decouples and blocks noise shockingly well when used as full coverage over a foil-backed deadening, or when used to cover gaps and holes in a door skin. And it's cheap and compressible enough that if you need another layer you can just add one. So yeah. Don't expect this to actually be a complete solution but it's great as part of a thought-out strategy.

Title: Cool the product prior to using!
Review: I live in Florida, it's hot in August. I went to install this in my trunk and it was giving me real issues, kicked on the car, ac full blast, each sheet I'd cool and problem solved. Works great, just has to be the right temperature to separate the backing from the material. Car sounds awesome, took out the base related issues. I'd buy again!

Review: I purchased this for my 2008 Honda Civic LX sedan. Easy to install, cuts well with a knife (I didn't use scissors because they get gummed up). The adhesion is great! Will have to see how it sounds after I complete the rest of the car.

Review: Heeded the advice of numerous suggestions in keeping it cool and out of the sun to aid in removing the adhesive backing paper.Needs to be combined with other products for full effect! Not heavy enough on it's own for removing panel resonance. A few big patches of this stuff works well in conjunction with 30% coverage with Amazon Basics sound deadening (a butyl-only product)

Customers say

Customers like the quality, sound reduction, and ease of installation of the insulation. They mention it's an excellent product, absorbs sound well, and is easy to handle barehanded. Some appreciate the adhesion and value for money. However, some customers disagree on the weight, ease of removal, and appearance.
