Title: Company stands by the warranty!
Review: Purchased January 2022 and used regularly during cold weather months for SAD. It has a large light box, bright with no glare, stable stand and is reasonably priced. Very effective and was happy with it. Unfortunately, the push button hinge at joint between box and stand could have been constructed better and it broke in October 2024. I supplied a copy of the original receipt with a picture of broken arm joint and I received a replacement via UPS in less than 48 hours! Needless to say, I was impressed by their exceptional customer service. I look forward to using this in the years ahead. I highly recommend!

Title: Well constructed and work well
Review: This light is well constructed and seems to do its job well. I’ve put it on the desk in my home office. The bright setting seems to work well for light therapy. The medium setting provides good, even illumination for my daily Zoom call, which is a benefit I hadn’t anticipated. I’m very happy with this purchase.

Title: Best value for the money!
Review: This light meets the standards used in studies of light exposure to treat SAD. I did a lot of research before purchasing and found this light as one of the few out there that has 10,000 lux at 12 in. and is less expensive than some of the others I found.Most lights advertising to treat seasonal depression don't even tell how close you have to be to get the 10,000 lux used in studies and actually require you to be so close (6-8 inches) that it is not likely to be used properly. This light is designed to be a reasonable distance and is big enough to fill my visual space with it's very bright light.The base allows it to sit above you, and shine down (like the sun would do). With this light sitting on a table right in front of me it is about 12 in away. It has adjustable hight and angle which is helpful in getting it to work with your setup.It is not small by any means, but that is a good thing! If it were small it wouldn't cover my view when sitting near it and, I imagine, would be less effective. Although it is large, it is stable and not too heavy to move if you want to get it out of the way.It came with the base and light apart, but only took a couple minutes to put together and had clear instructions.I've been using it for a week now, and so far so good. I do feel like it makes me feel more awake first thing in the morning, and I have had more energy and motivation than I typically do. As for depression, I can't say yet, as I haven't had enough time with it. I purchased in hopes to avoid the winter blues I usually get, so we'll see if it makes a difference by the end of winter.Overall, if you are looking for a true "treatment light" I definitely recommend it.

Title: Works Very Well
Review: This light is super bright and exceeds 10k lux at 14inches as per multiple light meter apps. I dinged it one star because, as others have pointed out as well, the base is rather cheaply made. It's made up of thin plastic, not the heavy duty plastic you generally find on computer monitor stands. Granted, it's not nearly as heavy as a computer monitor, it just seems cheap.That all said, I've been using this for a week and it has made a tremendous impact. I do a 30 minute session as soon as i wake up in the morning. I'm no longer crabby in the morning when i wake up or in a completely foul mood by the time i get to my job. This winter (2022/2023) has been especially cloudy in the mid-west. This is the first time i've ever used light therapy. I can recommend both the therapy and this light.

Title: Better than the sun!
Review: I bought this product after researching SAD light therapy and noticed that this brand is recommended by medical professionals. I live in Rochester NY which is rated #10 on the list of overcast cities with Anchorage Alaska being #1. Being middle aged now I have noticed that within the past few years the winters are getting harder to bear. I've also noticed that each time it gets to the beginning of March, I get this weird pressure behind my eyes, insomnia, lots of fatigue etc. Its probably a lot to do with seasonal allergies as well, but also I notice that I feel really irritated by the increasing light. I figured out on my own that if I'm feeling irritated by the early spring light its probably due to the shock of it because the months prior are very dark and typically I am the most happy by mid summer July and august. So by March I am like a prisoner just released from a dungeon and seeing light for the first time. I figured I would try to even out the light exposure for myself year round with this device. It arrived today and I was excited to see that it was really easy to put together, it only takes one screw and some patience while carefully sliding the lamp in place. Please ignore the reviews complaining about the brightness if it were any brighter you wouldnt be able to see a thing. Its large like the size of a monitor but the size seems necessary to get the full effect.upon turning it on and sitting for a bit I noticed an affect immediately bringing memories of sitting on a beach right back to me. Though it was a sunny day today and very bright , sitting under this lamp for 20 minutes made me feel much happier than sitting next to the window and I think it has to do with the way the colors in the light are carefully calculated. After one use I feel like I just went on a vacation to Florida. And, instead of napping after work I am up doing more housework . I never rave about products but I am just so pleased with this. I plan to give it as a gift at Christmastime and only regret that I didn't buy it sooner. That said, I do feel that if you dont live in an overcast area and dont feel your mood change according to the calendar like clockwork as I do, this may not work for you or you may have other issues requiring different treatment. But if you truly suffer from the darkness this thing is definitely worth every cent.

Review: I absolutely love my lamp! I've been using it every morning for 30 minutes when waking up, for the last month and a half. My depression has lifted and no PMS whatsoever this month! I wad considering medication prior to this, so...I love the size (big screen) and brightness level of the lamp. I can read or use my tablet under it without problems. A lot of people mentions finding the legs unsteady but I don't have problems with this. It feels sturdy and quality. I know it's all new for me but I am sold!! And I did a lot of research prior to buying and found this was one of the best. No regrets!** Update october 2020 : still using the lamp daily for 30 minutes, from september to June, and it`s still 100% effivient. Did not even have to replace a bulb yet! Still absolutely love it!

Review: I've had a small happy light on my desk for a couple of years and decided to buy this more powerful Carex Day-Light. The product's build quality is not great in terms of polish, but it's very robust and simple, and feels like it can last a decade easily. The physical on-off swith is great because I can use the light with a $10 smart outlet and automate turning it on in the morning. It is *very bright*. Even with just 10 minutes I get a boost of energy, while I needed hours with my older tiny light for the same effect.

Review: I ordered this because it was recommended on several websites. It’s expensive, and may be overpriced.But, it seems to be helping my wife. Happy wife happy life. Lol.It is pretty bright and pretty big. It’s about the size of a standard monitor.My wife wasn’t sure initially, but since it seems to be working, she’s happy with it.I like the way to stand, allows it to be propped up high and angled according to your size.I’ve used other happy lights and this one is much better and I would recommend this.

Review: I’ve had this lamp for about 2 years. When I took it out of storage recently, it wasn’t working. I had no issues with customer service for the warranty. I just got the replacement and it works amazingly! I highly recommend!
