Title: Fast, strong, easy setup, friendly interface, affordable
Review: I just set this up a couple of hours ago, so Iâll update if my experience changes from this initial impression, but so far Iâm very happy with this purchase. We have a Spectrum 200mbps plan and upgrading from a 10-year old router. We were experiencing slow downs and bandwidth overload since moving to our 2500 sq ft house, and my older daughter has recently discovered the art of playing Roblox while FaceTiming with her friend and streaming Roblox videos on the tv...and oh by the way, my wife and I also like to stream videos while the baby streams Daniel Tiger on the downstairs tv. I originally thought it was Spectrum of course, and I had a tech out 2-3 times to make sure everything was good on their end. It was.I did a speed test prior to switching. My download speed was 35mbps on the old router. The old Linksys lived a valiant life and still mostly got the job done, but the demand of me working from home and my daughter going to virtual school made it so we needed to upgrade. Setup was rather easy, but itâs important to note **if you have Spectrum, you need to call support and activate your modem after connecting the router, then go ahead and reboot the router after this** if you donât do that, you will likely be able to connect but unable to load any webpages, etc. My speed is now notably faster, and the download speed test read 117mbps after I was up and running with the new router. And no signal drop outs to report as of yet so hereâs hoping...You can download the tp-link app to manage the home network, including monitoring connected devices (we currently have 13!) and enable smart link as well as change the network name and password. You can even reboot the router remotely and cut off WiFi access to individual devices! Signal strength seems plenty strong throughout our house, and we finally have a router that isnât being overloaded on one frequency. By the way, you can toggle whether to manually select 2.4 or 5ghz for each device or to let the smart link feature adjust devices automatically. So far, smart link seems to be working fine. We have like 13 devices connected, and this advertises to accommodate over 25 at a time.So far Iâm very pleased with this router, especially at this price point. I know I can still get a more technologically advanced router for way more money, but this one seems to be doing the job to fit the needs for my family. Now my next step is to get greedy and upgrade to gig internet with fiber technology.

Title: Great Product at a Great Price
Review: Wasn't initially sure about the benefits of a travel router, but, convinced by a teen, purchased and am very happy so far. Easy set up, good, stable connection and, as it can connect to multiple devices, a timesaver too. Definitely a product you can live without, but, having purchased, can only see future, positive benefits now.

Title: good but not great
Review: I've had this little router for a while now, and it is good and does what it says, but it's not the best and I'll explain why.I'm using it as a range extender in my room while living with my parents again, then when I move it'll become my main router, love the flexibility of that. But it's not without problems right now. In RE mode, its dropping in and out of signal every 3ish minutes (soft resetting itself) which also makes logging in the router via the app a hit or miss. For browsing the web, it still happens, but I don't notice a difference because it drops in and out so quick, but that "drop" in connection for online server games is quite irritating. I've factory reset it several times, only use the OG power block and cord, and checked for updates and it hasn't fixed this problem. My parents already have a wifi 6 router so it shouldn't be an issue with that. I just copied their same wifi name and password onto this TP-Link because their living room tv still didn't get enough signal, until I got this thing, and it's helped. The periodic connection dropping can easily be fixed through a software update. I saw this router is still kinda new cause I've kept my eye on the blue N300 until I saw this one.Overall, it works ok, it just needs an update to fix the connection dropping in RE mode.

Title: A Tremendous Router Especially for Travel
Review: I have used TP-Link's predecessor to this router for several years with great results. I'm happy to say that this new version is even better than the previous versions. As a Ham Radio Operator, I often travel with gear that requires an Ethernet Port and does not use wi-fi. This device provides an Ethernet LAN Port for just such needs. It's super easy to plug in a "dumb" network switch to the LAN Port to create even additional Ethernet Ports. The router's ability to use the new wi-fi protocols is icing on the cake. However, one of the best features is its ability to handle "captive ports" that are often used at hotels, resort, etc. Briefly described, a captive portal is what hotels and resorts use to control and verify that a user is entitled to use their wi-fi network. To do so, requires a "sign-in" which asks the user for specific information such as their name or room number, etc. So if you intend to share their network among several devices, it can become difficult or nearly impossible to interact with their sign-in process through some devices that don't know what to do with such login processes. This device's captive portal function is super simple and allows you to view and interact with such sign-in processes. Once done, the resort/hotel wi-fi is accessible through the TP-Link device as your own wi-fi network(s) [2.4 & 5GHz] OR via Ethernet. It works perfectly. No more leaving useful or needed gear at home because there is no practical way to connect it. This TP-Link device solves that problem and produces and excellent wi-fi resource for you. This is an absolutely wonderful device to have and can also be put to good use at home when you have devices that need Ethernet but the room they're in doesn't have it. This is a tremendous tool to have available as you travel or for home or business use.

Review: I have the most high end Asus professional (gamer) router at home, and I was very impress buy this one when I decide to replace the very old and low end D-link basic router that my parents were using at their place. It is made for those looking for extreme performance, a stable wifi network that can handle tons of devices connected at the same at high bitrate. It is easy to setup, not for really beginners, but not complicated to setup for an highend router with those features. Once the network is set, security set, etc. you can add a device right from a mobile app without the need of a computer. Which is useful if you have many devices, but no computers, or don't want to break your legs adding mobile device manually one by one.It is packed with tons of meaningful features, that are only available in high end or professional routers. Kind of things you get in gaming and commercial high performance routers. And they are super easy to setup and understand, to the point that I had the feeling of not having much options when it wasn't the case. It is just that the interface and how you navigate the features in the menus in the browser or the mobile app is so simple, and easy to use that you feel like it was too easy. Especially when like me, you are used to complex interface, that are not made for neophyte. My parents love it, and when people visit them, they comment on the speed of their network, which is in part due to this incredible router from a very reputable brand.Great large antenna, that are well design and place on the router, like not in the way of cable like many D-Link low end routers. (By low end I mean the lowest models of the brand)Lastly, I was impressed by this router for the price, which is high, but low if you compare it to professional or commercial routers with similar features and quality.Next time I will look for a router, I might considere this model or equivalent future version, as I do really recommend it.
