Title: Great options and easy to follow
Review: While I'm not a master chef I am experienced in the kitchen but was looking for a cookbook that was easy to follow and with meals I could prep ahead of time as our weeks are jam packed and without meal prep we tend to stray back to our old bad eating habits. Great recipes, easy to follow, and we have several favorites already.

Title: Healthy food that tastes good!
Review: I was diagnosed with high blood pressure earlier this year, and my doctor suggested looking into the DASH plan. I don’t believe in traditional diets because they don’t work. The vast majority of the people who lose weight on a diet (including me, over and over again) gain it all back, plus more, because there’s this sense of deprivation and longing for all the food you can’t have. It’s not sustainable over the long term. This is not a diet in the traditional sense - it’s a new way to eat, and I fully believe I could eat this way forever (with the occasional exception for holidays, special occasions, that kind of thing). The food tastes great, and it’s not hard to make. You’re eating every few hours, and the high fiber content keeps you feeling full. After a few weeks of the DASH plan, I feel so much better - my sleep and energy are great. This meal planning guide enables me to do all my cooking in an afternoon, so during the week, I don’t have to think about what’s for dinner. With healthy, tasty food easily available, I’m not tempted to order takeout or eat high-sodium processed food. I would recommend this way of eating to anyone.

Title: Shopping List..Week 1...doesn't match up to Meal Plan Week 1.
Review: I really like the concept of this meal prep cookbook. And so far the things I've made taste great!! As someone else said in a review, I wish someone had reviewed the Menu plan to the Shopping list. Week 1 shopping list calls for 1 lemon. I already found I needed 2. The 'overnight oats with berries' in pic...it has raspberries...not on shopping list. Also the menu Week 1 has 4 times you eat the 'green herb brown rice'...1 cup per serving. Yet the recipe makes 8 cups....why?? It's delicious though!! I def subbed the parsley with cilantro.I still think I will REALLY enjoy this cookbook...but will def double check recipes each week against the 'shopping list' to make sure I get all that I need...and not make more than needed.

Title: Great first Dash Diet book, Tasty Recipes
Review: This is the first Dash Diet book I purchased and I really like it. Most of the meals I prepare come from this book. I am looking for another cookbook with more recipes. I just ordered and received one with over 200 recipes that I did not like, and it just made me appreciate this one more. Once you find what you really like (and there's quite a variety in this book), the meal prepping is easier. The more you read labels when grocery shopping and knowing what your quantities are, it's easy. Don't let the grocery list intimidate you; I only cook for myself and find that I don't need as much. I find using index cards for the meals I make over and over helps. I can edit the recipes for amounts tailored to my eating habits (usually less). For instance eating only 1 hard-boiled egg instead of 2 on the breakfast Bento Box (which I also have for lunch on occasion) which consists of just portioned sizes of cheese, fruit (I like sliced apples and grapes) no salt almonds and the eggs. Eventually you can put together whatever meals you want for the week once you learn a few basics and find your favorite recipes. Highly Recommend this book as a first for Dash Diet users.

Title: Recipes are generally good, prepare to be frustrated
Review: Overall I like the recipes in this book. Some of the food has been great to be honest. There are lots of mistakes in the book. At first I thought it was me not reading whats considered pantry staples, but some ingredients just aren’t on the shopping list. As an example, week 3 has a roasted potato recipe. Potatoes are neither on the shopping list, nor are they a pantry staple. My wife works in publishing and I see 50-100 cookbooks a year come through my house. I know these things aren’t easy to get perfect. Hopefully there’s a reprint coming from the publisher.

Title: Use this weekly
Review: Good pictures. Delicious recipes. Plenty of great advice for someone changing their eating habits due to recently being diagnosed with hypertension. Our 4 & 6 year olds are less than thrilled but what little kid is happy with anything other than chicken nuggets, fries, hot dogs, or macaroni? Have tried the majority of the recipes and haven't found 1 we didn't like. Was able to cook the pulled pork recipe in a crock pot for 8-10 hours on low and it turned out great. The breakfasts are yummy and even has a desert section too. So far have lost over 20 lbs and BP dropped from 158/113 down to 138/87 on average.
