Title: recomendations worked for me
Review: After having heart surgery, my blood pressure was fine, but after awhile I was checking it before I went to see my cardiologist, it was getting a little high. Just my personal belief, I think high blood pressure and sugar causes inflammation in the blood vessels, then the substances accumulate at the point of inflammation. So I said to my self I've got to get this blood pressure down or else I was going to ask my cardiologist to increase my blood pressure meds. I told my brother my blood pressure seems a little high and he asked me if I had been eating food with a lot of sodium. I had over the holidays and vacations. I decided to give a low sodium diet a try. It worked I lost 14 pounds and my blood pressure normalized. It has been fine now for about 4 months. I researched it on amazon and I found this book. One of the things it recommends it a low sodium diet. It has other simple pointers that may be helpful I don't know if this type of diet would work for you but I decided to give it a try. I'm going to continue checking my blood pressure to see if there are any changes..

Title: Good book, I have had some postive results.
Review: Good book, I am using many of the recommedations, and have some good results. My big problem is stress, last week on vacation Blood pressure was much better. Job is the problem with 50% of the blood pressure problem. I now know that for a fact and this book cannot correct that problem. But it has helped.

Title: Good source of BP information
Review: This is an easy to read, good little book with lots of information, various tables , recipes etc., Although, for me a lot of the info isn't new, it's nice to have a good source of BP information. I carry the book in my purse as a food reference guide.

Title: Don't waste your money
Review: I bought this book for a friend who has high blood pressure in an effort to learn more about it. and how to control it. It amazed me when the advice came alive on the pages LOSE WEIGHT, CUT OUT SUGAR CUT OUT SALT DON'T EAT CANDY OR SWEETS! ! ! ! ! Oh, and they have pills to sell you, and free counselors for a nominal price, etc. The book was way too expensive ($49) for that kind of elementary advice. I gave the book 3 stars and put it on the shelf in my bedroom. Don't waste your money.

Title: Controlling High Blood Pressure The Natural Way
Review: This book is very interesting in letting you know ways of controlling your blood pressure naturally without using prescriptoon drugs for such cause. This is good to try when the doctor gives you a chance to try lowering your blood pressure before any prescription drugs are given. If you follow what is said in this book, chances are great you will be able to do without medication. Warning if you are already on blood pressure medicine keep on the medicine until the doctor keeps lowering our medicine and then with his knowledge and approval then try the methods in this book.

Review: Although this book is not a UK version, the recipes mentioned inside all use common ingredients and none looked unfamiliar. This book gives you sensible almost obvious advice to help your blood pressure . We all forget what we should or should not be doing and I think this book is really helpful. It mentions the benefits of low fat yoghurt and potassium which I realise I hardly have in my diet and don't really have anything else what would provide the nutrients they would so I will be adding yoghurts/ bananas to my shopping list.It all seems obvious but really there are so many items mentioned in here that I haven't been doing/ eating and I would consider myself fairly healthy apart from the blood pressure so this book is good. It's also a nice size so easy to pop in a bag.

Review: I still haven't gone through all of it as i purchased to gift it. What ever bits and pieces i read were good with quality information. However the pages inside looked rough and gave it a very cheap look although the front cover is nice. But if look and feel doesnt matter then one can go ahead buying it.
