Title: Good mix of different dishes, mouth watering photographs
Review: The Best of Cooking LightA friend recommended I subscribe to the magazine Cooking Light, and I thought I'd check out this collection of recipes to see if it would suit my taste. The recipes all look very tasty and there's something for everyone. It has an excellent variety ranging from main dishes (vegetarian, pork, poultry, beef) to appetizers, side dishes, desserts, and even alcoholic beverages. The best part has to be the high quality photographs which just makes me drool while looking at the dishes. There are also nutritional facts for each recipe, which is very useful to me as I like to watch what I eat.Overall: 5/5 stars!

Title: A wonderful cookbook
Review: A lot of times when I buy cookbooks the recipes don't come out as well as I would hope. Something's usually off, whether it be the flavor or the presentation. As a novice cook, this book has provided relatively simple, healthy dishes, and they are absolutely delicious! My boyfriend and I have used 3 recipes from this book so far and they have been 5 star dishes. If you buy this book, you must absolutely try the Steamed Fish with Spicy Ginger Sauce!

Title: So helpful when watching calories
Review: There are a few reasons I bought this book. One, while I'm generally pretty active (don't own a car, live in a hilly neighborhood, etc), I love food so much that I have a hard time with portion control. Two, I have a difficult time estimating how many calories I'm consuming in a serving and this can sneak up on a person. Three, I recently stumbled upon the Cooking Light website and appreciated their quick, basic recipes with provided nutritional information. As wedding season approaches and invitations start rolling in, I decided it was time to reevaluate my portion sizes and make healthier food choices. I knew I needed help. I also didn't want to pay for a subscription to the magazine and receive some recipes along with a ton of ads and articles. This book seemed to fit the bill. For the past few weeks my meal plans have been from this book. I usually choose three things to make: something like the flaxseed-honey sweet potato bread or fruit salad to accompany non-fat Greek yogurt in the morning and two main courses that can be divided up and taken to my 12-hour work shifts.Favorites so far have been the slow cooker meatloaf; the cashew-curry chicken salad; and the fruit salad with cayenne, mint, lemon, and honey. Most of the casseroles are pretty basic but at the same time tasty and it's nice to be able to eat that kind of comfort food on a cold, rainy day while keeping the calories around 300 per serving (leaving room for a big side salad). I've only encountered a couple of ho-hum recipes but none of them were so bad that I couldn't tweak them with more spices (if all else fails, use Tapatio!). But seriously, make the meatloaf. It was amazing!End result? I've lost about ten pounds without feeling like I have been missing out on anything. I actually do MORE cooking now, incorporate a lot more protein, and eat more frequently due to the fact that I have delicious leftovers waiting in my fridge. I've become used to the idea that my plate doesn't need to be loaded with food and that a realistic serving size, like the ones suggested in this book, will nourish me and keep me going. My ONLY quibble is that this is a large, paperback book. The pages will not stay open nor will it fit in my cookbook holder. I'm going to find someone who can turn this into a spiral-bound book and then it will be perfect.

Title: My favorite cookbook - even the kids love the recipes
Review: I love this cookbook. It has a multitude of delicious recipes, most of which you don't need to purchase special ingredients. My children like the recipes too. The added bonus of having the nutritional information makes it easier for me when I'm dieting, but honestly the food tastes great. I purchased a copy for my college freshman so that she could prepare healthy, homemade meals when she had the chance. I highly recommend this cookbook to everyone.

Title: Great recipes. Binding arrived split inside. Chunks of book falling out. Would love a replacement!
Review: I LOVE the recipes in this edition! However, binding arrived split which I didn't notice in time. Now after a few months use-chunks are falling out. And understand, I would love this to be a go to cookbook for years as others by Cooking Light have been. It is intended to have longer lifespan and durability than a magazine. Any way to get a replacement?

Title: Yummy, healthy recipes
Review: Even though I have a degree in culinary arts, I struggle to be creative when trying to cook healthy. This HUGE book has already provided quite a few recipes that I've made for my family and for parties. Each one has been a success. It has some nice pictures, too, which I always like.

Title: Delicious But Healthy Recipes
Review: This was a replacement cookbook as the first one I bought years ago had a broken binding. It is a terrific, clearly explained book, and the recipes that I've tried over the years have been very good as well as healthy.

Review: I love cooking light cookbooks. Big statement, I know, but none of the recipes have disappointed. Great photos, although I wish there were more and great recipes add ins. Most recipes include a side dish recipe as well. I'd prefer coil bound but the book does open well and stay on the page.
