By learning exactly what a school counselor does, Raymond finds he has nothing to fear and much to gain from friendly Mrs. Joyce.

Whether it's giving a high-five, a thumbs-up, a fist bump, a handshake or a hug, finding a way to connect with students is vital. Title: Good but
Review: The book was great! I used it in grades K-2 classrooms. It was a huge aid in explaining my role in the school. I did skip some pages, as it was a tad lengthy. It could've been better, but worth the money!

Title: A great add to my counseling library....
Review: I loved the book. The illustrations are excellent. The message perfect. A great beginning of school year lesson. I know the description says it is good for grades k - 6 but I can tell you I used it with 6th grade and won't do it again. Much too "babyish", as one student privately told me, at least for this years 6th grade group, I think. It was great fro my 2nd and 4th grade. A little too long for kindergarten. And some of the vocabulary was over their heads. Next year I'll use it with 1st and 3rd and see how it goes. Maybe 5th. Very happy I purchased it though!!!!

Title: The book is great, but I'm only able to view it on ...
Review: The book is great, but I'm only able to view it on my phone. I had planned to read it on my computer, so that was disappointing. It only loaded to my phone, making it difficult to read. If I had tealized, I would have bought the paperback version.

Title: Great intro book for School Counselors!
Review: I found this book after searching online for a book to talk to small children about what School Counselors do. This book is a great addition to my library. It's attractive visually (which is important in keeping little ones attention). Sadly I discovered this after school had already started but I will definitely be using it for next school year.
Customers say
Customers find the book great and a good resource. They also say it's an excellent first lesson book for school counselors. Readers describe the visual quality as attractive and nice. However, some find the writing bad, wordy, and difficult to read. Additionally, they mention the vocabulary is over their heads and there aren't enough redeeming features about the text.
