Title: This is an incredible machine!
Review: The picture above is me being able to easily use this Juki to quilt a full size quilt! Let me explain. I have 2 Janine’s, a Bernina, and another plus serger. None had adequate harp area and I didn’t go the quilt as you go route. I have a few other T-shirt quilts to make so I went searching on Amazon. I was specifically looking for a workhorse with no bells and whistles. This baby is IT! She is quiet, easy to use when you carefully go by the manual and the many YouTube videos. The automatic needle cutter was a bonus I didn’t think would be such a wonderful asset. It sees up to 1500 stitches per minute. When doing a lot of straight lines this is great. But it also maneuvers well. I ordered the Grace Cutie Breeze frame to use for more intricate designs with this machine. Substantial and solid, all metal. I ordered needles and bobbins but it comes with plenty of supplies. The price, while not ceap, is reasonable for such a great addition.Update: after posting, I have had issues with thread coming unthreaded, etc. Trying to get help has not been fruitful. I’m upset at this point

Title: Love love love this machine
Review: If I could give this 10 stars I would! Love love love this machine! So much so, I bought two! I bought one of these, then a week later I bought a second one and a Grace quilt frame to use one of them one. What is so great about this machine? It's substantial. It's heavy duty and a workhorse. There is no plastic, it weighs a lot if that is a concern for you. It has an all metal body and components. This machine goes fast if you want it to, it responds extremely quickly, you want it to speed up, or slow down it's like johnny on the spot. There is no wearing this machine out. I sew daily and put machines through their paces and this one is up to that challenge. It's pretty. All bright white, super clean looking. Visibility is fantastic. The head of the machine is tapered, look at the pic. That tapered head provides an unimpeded view of your project. This is great, because so many machines now have so many electronics the head of the machine is huge... which hides your project. Free Motion Quilting on this machine is easy due to this tapered head and visibility. PERFECT stitches, this machine does one this... straight stitch, but it does it perfectly. You can't mess this up, if you are doing free motion, it just does it perfectly. You know how so many machines will make long stitches, eyelash tension problems or break thread when trying to do FMQ, and it's so hard to get tension right? Well, not with this baby. Listen, I have done FMQ with this machine and it's MADE for this task. First, the knob on top of the head is to adjust the pressure foot pressure, which means that I can even FMQ using the regular piecing foot if I want to. (and I have). I have had no problems with tension or eyelashing.. this machine just makes FMQ simple. The thread holder, is fabulous, no tangles no trouble. And I just leave a spool on the second spindle set up for winding bobbins all the time, so I don't have to unthread the needle. It's quiet for a machine. The auto thread cutter is amazing! You rock your foot back, it cuts. Not only does it cut with a push of your foot, it leaves the tiniest tail! And it starts sewing perfectly every time. So, there is no trimming long tails, and no having to take the bobbin out to lengthen the thread to get it to start again like other machines can often do.. it catches the tails and starts again every time. I love that if I use the cutter button, I have a tiny quarter inch tail left. No trimming to do and it saves thread. I love that I can cut the thread with my FOOT! The knee lifter also means that you can cut and lift without ever taking your hands off the machine. You don't have to lift the pressure foot by hand, or push the cut button by hand.I just can't find anything "wrong" with this machine. The lighting could be better but it is not bad and it's WAY better than my Elna and Brother machines, so while more light would be great it's got more lighting than most machines. You DO have to oil this machine each time you use it. BUT in my world that is a plus, not a detriment. Why? Because it allows you to service your machine, know its lubricated properly. These self lubed machines eventually suffer problems and you can't do it yourself, you have to take the machine for service.I am shocked at the low price of this machine for the joy of using it. It's the best machine that I have ever owned and it's the cheapest. I have a 6,000.00 Elna, which does not hold a candle to this Juki, though the Elna of course does all the fancy stuff, zig zag, embroidery etc. But I despise actually sewing on the Elna because of the large head and poor lighting. How about the one on the Grace SR2 Frame... it's as great as it is on the sewing table. Just simple, just works, just no problems. If you are a quilter, and you want the PERFECT QUARTER INCH SEAM, this is the machine for that. If you are a quilter and you want simple, perfect, easy, reliable, joyful, sewing... this is the machine for that. This machine is a PARTNER, not a tool. It's truly a quilter's partner. I wish I had gotten one of theses years ago. You would have NEVER convinced me that a machine could improve my quilting after 20 years of experience, but this machine has made my quilts crisper and better. People think I am crazy, they say... but .. but.. it only does a straight stitch.. who wants just a straight stitch machine... then they use it and buy one.

Title: Nice machine
Review: I love this machine. I tried FMQ with my heavy duty singer and could not get the tension right. I gave up and decided to try this machine. The tension is better, sews very nicely, it's quiet, and the thread cutter is awesome!! I was always having to re-thread my singer because it would pop out of the needle. This machine stops in the correct position so that when you restart, the needle stays threaded. It doesn't bunch up the bottom thread on start, so no need for a leader piece of material. The only bad part is that it only straight stitches. So for now, i have 2 machines to keep out, since i love to zig zag things. I also wish it had the motor adjustment botton. But for the price, I LOVE THIS MACHINE!

Title: Sews through thick layers with ease!
Review: I had a straight stitch machine by another brand and loved it, but heard so many good things about Juki that I decided to get this machine too. At the time I bought it, I didn't realize there were other nearly identical Juki's. This Juki is the Qi, and is less money than the "Q" because it comes with fewer feet and one less threading tension disk, which I guess I didn't realize when I decided to buy this one. But my other brand machine only had the one tension disk anyhow, so I was used to that. I didn't really need the extra feet the more expensive one came with either, so I think I made the right choice and saved $350 over the same machine with those extras. The Juki sews through thick layers and fast! Great to bag making and piecing quilts and quilting too. I have no problem quilting with the walking foot, but for some reason whenever I try to free motion quilt and use a matching thread on the back and a different color on the front, the bobbin thread always shows through. I have adjusted it and tried everything and the same problem. So I am sticking to quilting with a walking foot on this machine only. Maybe after I take it in for servicing, the tech might fix that?I did buy the 1/4" foot with the guide that is made for this Juki and love that foot! That is all I needed to buy extra (besides some bobbins). This is a high shank machine, so I already had high shank presser feet from my other machine that work on this one too.I love how the thread cuts by pressing down on your heel on the foot petal or pushing the button. The needle threader is a bit tricky to get the hang of, so find how to thread this machine on a YouTube video, because the instructions are not clear in the manual for it. Other than that, this is a simple to use and maintain machine and I will enjoy sewing on it for years to come.

Review: This machine is a workhorse when needed to be and a dream machine for quilting. It’s so quiet as it works away. Straight stitch with only a reverse but that’s all you need really. It’s a heavy machine and stays put it doesn’t bounce on your table while it’s sewing. I can’t find a thing I don’t like about it. Even the hard cover it came with is decent quality. You can free motion quilt up to a king size quilt on it (has a huge throat) and it is super fast!

Review: Es la mejor!!! Amo mi máquina, el color es perfecto, la mesa añadida es única. El precio fue el mejor que encontré. En México no encontramos este modelo. Hago quilting y bolsas, etc. Súper fácil de entender y manejar. La recomiendo muchísimo.

Review: I got this machine as it's a domestic/industrial machine. It's great for heavy duty sewing, and also quilting as you can lower the feed dogs on it. It's a straight stitch machine so I'll still need my brother for fancy stitches but not a problem. It's a workhorse of a machine and sees great. My only disappointment is that it came with a walking foot rather than a free motion foot which I'd have preferred....costs £40 for the foot so another cost factor on top of the voltage converter I needed to buy. Still happy with it so far 👍

Review: This machine has incredible piercing and presser foot power. I use it do to professional grade alterations and sewing. Don't let the fact that it doesn't have speed control reduce it suitability for those who know how to sew and control their speed. It's important to remember that this is a semi-industrial sewing machine. Don't buy it if all you want to do is hem jeans. It's also a beautiful machine to quilt on, fast and responsive, even the thread cutter operates at lightening speed which is important for repetitive sewing. It does free motion stitching beautifully and has no problem with quilt thickness.

Review: I bought this machine at it is perfect for my quilting. This is only a straight stitch machine so if you need fancy stitches, it's not for you. But if you only need strait stitch and want super fast speed this is the one. The throat is big enough for a king size quilt to fit. If you are in the UK as I am you need a voltage converter as its 110V. I bought one on here and it works a dream.
