Title: Updated review 2023. See all info below.
Review: UPDATE TO REVIEW OCTOBER 2023I got an amazing email from DeWalt along with a phone number for a lady to call about the issue. Today, I came home to find a package on my front porch I wasn't expecting.See video....They went above and beyond in troubleshooting my issue and asked for me to send the radios back on their FedEx account so they can send them back to the manufacturing plant for diagnosis. You really can't ask much better than that level of customer support! Thanks again for being Awesome Dewalt!UPDATE TO REVIEW AUGUST 2023The new version of these radios has a USB-C charging connector. That's pretty awesome. Unfortunately they also come with a new glitch. After 9 months, three of the four units are having the same issue (see video above). After 9 months of intermittent use, we're using these on a job site daily. We're low voltage engineers - not masonry contractors, so they're not being beaten up or abused. Three of the four we purchased (75%) are having a problem where the speaker just sounds so incredibly "tinny" and weak that the guy on the other end can't hear them. I had to go up 5 floors today and find a guy and ask if his radio was turned on. Turns out it was... just not well. Three out of four failing is WAY too high a failure rate for the investment these require. I've reached out to DeWalt and we'll see what they can do about them.ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW:I purchased these after seeing another contractor using them on the job site. The primary thing I liked about them was the small amount of buttons and the placement of the call button. Too often on the job, our more professional radios have too many options for the novice user. Even worse, the buttons often get pressed while in their tool belt or tool pouch. This radio has a large call button that's hard to press and not likely to get pressed by accident. That, I really like! The radio itself is great. The 2Watts of power work great for penetrating 35 floors of a highrise that the other cheaper radios won't do. I see other guys try and fail every day, but these penetrate pretty well with the extra power. The Micro USB charging port is awesome and one of the main reasons I picked up these radios. Rather than having to return them to the office and put 'em in the dock at night, the guys can charge them in their trucks, at home, or even on a portable battery pack, so that's been great. They charge quickly and they work well.As far as the belt clip goes - I'm not very impressed. In fact I'm a little mad that I spent so much and they've not lasted a month. So far out of four radios, we've used them a total of about six days on job sites. Three of the four have busted belt clips. The clips are really cheaply made and the radio can fall out of them. One of them fell three feet from a tool pouch and the antenna shroud just snapped off. I found it later and put it back on, but it shouldn't snap off that easy.Worse, the plastic that houses the belt clip contains so little material that the clips simply snap off. There's about 1/16th inch of plastic holding that together.Overall - GREAT radio - just plan to either be careful with it, or you'll find yourself fashioning a zip-tie clip for it when the belt clip breaks.

Title: DEWALT (DXFRS800) Walkie Talkies/radio - Ranks #2 overall for whatâs available on the market!
Review: DEWALT (DXFRS800) 2 Watt Heavy Duty Walkie Talkies with two-way radios have a Long Range (1-2 miles) with a thick rubber over-mold, that not only protects from drops and falls but also makes them really easy to grip, even in the rain. They do RANK#2 for overall performance for whatâs available on the market. They have gotten plenty of use, and have a battery life span up to 18 hours, proofed to be useful for our needs.

Title: Solid walkie talkie with good sound
Review: I really like the heft and IP67 rating. Simple to charge and use. Unfortunately, one of the two units would not operate. While diagnosing I discovered that the battery connection had been damaged during assembly. I moved the pin to the proper orientation, and the unit works great.

Title: Well worth the buy.
Review: So, I bought these for my property so when I'm out working on something my wife can yell at me loud and clear. But really I'm very impressed with these I live in the mountains very hilly and covered in brush and trees I've owned a bunch and cheap ones as a kid and my dad buying the nicer ones for around the property. I remember him even getting into cb radios but nothing was a match for these hills a few miles is all we could get out of most radios and when we had the good cb radio hooked up we got a few extra. So when I got 1.4 miles out of these radios I was very impressed. Why? Let me draw you a picture. Wife's on the porch most likely holding the radio wrong pointed away from me antenna facing into the house or hill away from where I'm driving I went not just behind but over a hill behind another hill dropped off into a small valley that's a miles away from my house that's behind another hill! And we can still talk loud and clear... Remember I'm also in a car so if she was looking at me the signal would have to go through 5 mountain with zero line of sight that's over a mile away... Now after the 6 hill around 1.5 miles from my house it started getting choppy but I hit a clear spot still blocked by a mountain but the signal came through now at 1.8 miles away and she's loud and clear.... Now this part of the canyon I had to go behind another mountain and through another mountain at over 2 miles away and we hit a dead spot.. I was talking to her and at some moments I would come in clear as day but as I was driving it would quickly vanish.. So that's 7 mountain later and the radios finally give out... Call me impressed.I also had a small 3w or 5w cb radio with a upgraded antenna on the same frequency to see if I could hear her on that but it stopped picking her up at 1.5 miles.... And so I'm very glad I went with these since it struggled to keep a clearer signal then the Dewalt and they arnt as clear nore legal like the Dewalt are without a special license. As for quality I must of got the upgraded batch because mine came in with the batteries installed and the people who had issues with the unit had to install the batteries. Also the antenna feels very sturdy along with the back clip I feel it will break before that clasp fails and I don't feel it breaking anytime soon. I'm also not a fan of Dewalt I personally own several Milwaukee power tools and a couple Dewalt and Milwaukee always out last and performs them. I would even buy Roybi over Dewalt is how much I'm not a fan boy of them haha but I must give credit where credit is due.. I wasn't expecting Alot and I got way more then I could ever imagine. Alot of people don't like the battery but I'm never going to remove it unless its dead and it's supposed to have a 14 hour work life so if your on a job site spending 50 dollars a radio just buy an exstra set or two so when one dies on the field they can swap them out for a charged one. And when you notice them dieing before the days over maybe its time to change out the battery? I'm sure they'll Alot cheaper then the standard clip on kind and probably why Dewalt went this route. Personally I'd recommend these at 100 and if you don't want to wait around for a sale asking price is far for what you are getting from personally using and even having my friends tell me you'd be lucky to find a radio that will work a half miles away from home once you get behind a hill it's worthless..Overall and so far I'm very impressed and time will tell how long they will last/hold up and if something comes up that warranty doesn't cover I'll make sure to update my review but I'm very happy and plan to buy another set.

Review: Excelente produto.

Review: The walkie taikie has been good so far. The range is really good. The button on the front of the radio takes a couple days to get used to but now we don't mind it. The one dislike would be the sound quality isn't as clear as our old high end Motorola 2 way radios but for the price of one of those radios we could buy these 6 Dewalts. Seems to be a fair trade off.

Customers like the functionality, range, and battery life of the two-way radio. They mention it works well for their use, has clear reception, and lasts all day. Some also like the ease of use and value for money. However, some dislike the charging capability and differ on the durability and sound quality.
