The first time you try Fiskars powergear2 UltraBlade Softgrip pruner, you’ll be amazed — but it’s not magic, it’s gears. Fiskars patented gear technology multiplies your leverage to give you up to 3x more power on every cut. This means you can power through tough stems and branches that you wouldn’t be able to cut with traditional pruners. For easy, comfortable pruning, our pruner also includes a contoured handle with a unique rolling design that fits the shape and natural motion of your hand, plus Softgrip touchpoints for a more comfortable, secure grip. Fiskars updated design includes modified gears and an innovative cam mechanism to optimize your cutting power in the middle of the cut where the branch is thickest and you need it most. The result is that every cut is even easier than the original PowerGear cutting tools. Additionally, the fully hardened steel pruning blade is enhanced with an UltraBlade coating that keeps it sharp up to five times longer than untreated blades while protecting against rust and making every cut even smoother.

Title: Great for arthritic hands
Review: Got these for my mom who loves to garden⦠the clippers were easy for her to use as they sort of âturnedâ as she clipped so it gave more torque and less grip was needed to cut a small branch. Sheâs very happy with this.

Title: Fiskars has lost my business permanently
Review: They used to build quality tools. Now they are too busy making gimmicky crap that doesn't even do the intended task well and the plastic being used throughout the tool line is garbage and leads to broken tools quickly. Check out Corona where aluminum and steel are still the materials used.

Title: Best pruning shears ever
Review: I have had many Fiskar products in the past; mainly scissors. These pruning shears are easy to use and no wrist pain afterwards. The blades are sharp enough to trim thick rose bushes and bougainvillea.

Title: I Love Everything Fiskars!
Review: I immediately search for Fiskars when I need a cutting tool. Whether for my jewelry making to the garden or for whatever I have never been disappointed with their outstanding quality. I have yet the need to replace any of my Fiskar tools for years.

Title: Doesn't Work
Review: Great concept, but doesn't work. I've had mine for a few years. Every year, I get reminded that I have it and try it out, then I quickly remember that it's not very good. The blades get misaligned and wants to cut diagonally or it doesn't cut. This might work on soft plants, but then the point of the power gear is moot.
