Review: These are the classic "scary" stories from my childhood in the late 80's early nineties. They aren't REALLY scary but the illustrations are totally creepy and wonderful. I bought the original paperback edition because I don't care for the newer edition's tamed down illustrations. My five year old loves creepy things and this is a favorite. I highly recommend this collection for young kids who want something spooky but not Stephen King spooky. Do yourself a favor and buy a used copy of the old edition before they become scarce. The drawings are what really sells it because the stories themselves are fun but pretty tame.

Title: Great 80's throwback book!!
Review: As a child growing up in the '80s I quickly became very familiar with this series. Although it was controversial I thought it was a great. luckily I had very progressive parents that allowed me to read these. Now that I'm an adult I am rereading them and it's awesome!!

Review: 本書は英語圏の小学校中〜高学年くらいを対象にした読みものかと思います。あまり英語が得意ではない高校一年生の生徒（もちろん日本人です）と一緒に読みましたが、文法的には「たまにわからない」程度、語彙的には「辞書を片手に」程度で、内容的にも洋書の読書入門編としては最適だと思いました。お話の内容としては、どこかで聞いたようなお話ばかりですが、英語で読むことにより感じる新鮮さがあるので案外楽しめます。
