Title: lovely Loretta's legendary TV series
Review: Here's the third volume in Timeless Media Group's series of LORETTA YOUNG SHOW releases. The 31 episodes collected here are from the third and fourth seasons (circa. 1955-57), and most star Loretta herself. As with the prior volumes, all of the episodes have been drawn from the Loretta Young Estate and are the original broadcast length. For it's eventual syndication, the show was re-cut into THE LORETTA YOUNG THEATRE (omitting Young's famous entrances and portions of her opening speeches) but rest assured that all episodes here seem complete and uncut, just like they originally aired on NBC.The sheer prestigious nature of this series cannot be underestimated - it remains nothing less than a milestone, and a testament to the talent and stamina of Loretta Young. Each week Ms Young dazzled audiences in stories of drama, comedy, historical intrigue and bittersweet romance. A lesser actress would never have made this series click so magnificently.In this set there are two more delightful installments of "Inga"; one of Ms Young's most popular characters. Title: 50s amd 60s nostalgia
Review: I enjoyed the different episodes. Loretta Young appeared in half hour weekly shows for almost a decade. Each was a bit different, and some were historical stories. She did a good job and was a person who radiated sympathy. The quality of the film is about what you expect from black and white TV from the period. I wondered if some were filmed from a TV screen rather than printed from original films, but who knows. Anyway, one would hope that someday digital restoration could make the images better. There are so many advances in digital technology, perhaps someday the pictures will be as good as films from that period that were made for movie theaters. I think I would enjoy the stories more if they were improved or even colorized. The stories tend to have a moral lesson, similar to ones you could learn from 50s series like Father knows Best, Donna Reed, Lassie or similar family series with a moral and ethical basis. I like this, because I grew up then but never watched the series. I think one episode about Boy Scouts was shown at school or my Boy Scout troop. The messages are certainly uplifting, although they are simplistic compared to the complex ethics and morals we find today. But in some ways the stories are better than some of our contemporary ones. No sex, violence, vulgarity or shocking scenes meant to titillate rather than merely entertain or enlighten.

Title: Loretta Young is the best!
Review: I am really enjoying these episodes. Some could be in better shape, but I am so happy to receive these epidsodes, especially since Loretta Young is actually staring in them herself. My favorites were always the ones she was actually in. The shows she had on were always worth watching though. I especially was glad to receive another spisode with "Inga". That show reminded me alot of "The Farmers Daughter" which can't be beat. I also have Season 1 and 2. Hopefully the rest of the seasons eventually are put out in dvd as I would like to have all 10 seasons, eventually.

Title: Season 4 Episode 30 The Man on Top
Review: All of the episodes are not included from season 3 and 4 in this set. TV.com has, The Man on Top staring Ricardo Montalbán is listed as being in season 4. but it is not on any of the three disk for this set.This set is incomplete and missing one of the best episodes. Review: This is most assuredly a stellar show that deserves to be purchased, viewed, and savoured. For those fortunate customers who have not bought the three earlier boxsets featuring Seasons 1-4, save a bundle and buy the recently released ANNIVERSARY COLLECTION that contains all 8 seasons for a fraction of the price! I relish this show for many reasons that include great acting, provocative plots, and exemplary scripts, but perhaps my most appreciated aspect of this show is the philosophical quote with which Loretta Young concludes each episode!
