Title: practical and useful information
Review: The vignettes in this book are quite useful in interfaith work and probably beyond. They tell of specific situations where good intentions were insufficient and occasionally were not only unsuccessful but actually harmful to mutual understanding. I recommend it for anyone who need to communicate across ethnic, cultural or religious difference. Most of the situations make one stop and think, even when they are not directly applicable to ones own situation. It's unfortunte that the book started with probably the least compelling chapter, so it was a slow slog through the first few stories before hitting the really compelling ones.
