Saylor Woodson is the one girl I can’t have, and the only girl I want.

She’s my best friend’s little sister, and completely off limits.

We have a history, a connection—one that no one else knows about.

One that I’ve tried hard to forget.

I've kept my distance for years, which was easy because she’d been away at school.

But now she’s home, and she’s everywhere I turn.

And the way that I want her is unexplainable.

She’s always on my mind.

She’s sunshine on a cloudy day.

So, I do everything in my power to keep my distance, because her brother is my best friend.

My family.

But the pull is too strong.

Overpowering in every way possible. I want to claim her and keep her and make her mine.

So, we cross that line in the sand—slowly at first.

Until I’m drowning in this girl and can’t find my way up for air.

Betrayal runs deep, and guilt hangs over me like a dark cloud.

But I can’t seem to walk away, no matter how hard I try.

Because she makes me want things that I never thought possible.

And now that I’ve had a taste of forever, I’m willing to risk everything to keep it.

But can we weather the storm that’s coming for us?

Only time will tell.

Title: Wow! Beautiful.
Review: I’ve fallen hard for Kingston and Saylor. This story is delightful, it’s funny, flirty, sexy and it tackles some serious issues without being too serious. I love the group of friends, they have an amazing friendship that’s so strong, it’s refreshing to read about them. Forbidden King is absolutely perfect.

Title: An Almost 5 Star Read!
Review: As a big fan of Laura's books, I absolutely adored the Cottonwood Cove series after a fellow bookish friend recommended it. When the Magnolia Falls series was released, I was eager to dive into Romeo and Demi’s story. However, I initially didn’t connect with the Magnolia Falls series as deeply as I did with the Cottonwood Cove couples. That all changed with this book. While I still find the earnest vow/poem recited by this group of guys a bit laughable and cringey (I know, some of you will disagree), the overall dynamic of this small-town found family remains strong. The sweet romance at the center of it all is truly heartwarming. Though I'm typically not a fan of the friends-to-lovers trope, this one was executed to perfection. Say and King are a fun, sassy couple, and if you love the best-friend’s-sibling trope, you’ll adore this one!The spice in this book is spot-on, filled with romance and dirty talk—a combination almost as winning as Say and King. I also appreciated the depth it added to the relationships between some of the “side” characters, leaving me eagerly anticipating the next book in the series, something I wouldn’t have said before reading this one. While it wasn’t a five-star read for me, it’s a solid 4.5 stars! This book has rekindled my excitement for the Magnolia Falls series, and I can't wait to see what's next.

Title: Heartwarming
Review: King and Saylor were absolute fire together. I just loved their special bond and friendship which blossoms into an epic love story. King is 100% the sexy small town hunk that dreams are made of. The love he has for his family has no limit and I find that so incredibly attractive. I for one love the pact and loyalty between him and his chosen brothers. I love how they all rally around one another no matter what. King is supposed to be the fun guy who is always full of humor and enjoys the ladies making no commitments, but always being honest and upfront. He’s never been in a relationship, but he’s never wanted to be until he realizes the woman he’s been in love with for years is actually Saylor, his BFF’s sister. Saylor left town for college and grad school, but now that she’s back to stay it’s become apparent very quickly that they have a connection even stronger than before. This is a Forbidden Love, BFF’s Sister, Small Town Romance, Friends to Lovers with a great cast of characters. Beefcake being one of my favs! I love the leads from the other books still being highly present in this small town. My only critique was that I thought the ending was maybe a tad rushed. I understood things were being setup for the next book, but it almost felt a tiny bit cliffhangery with the medical stuff. I know I’ll get any questions answered in the next book, but I’m just angsty and want to know now. Haha. All in all I loved this story and I’m biting at the bit for more. Magnolia Falls and its inhabitants have stolen my heart especially King!

Title: King and Saylor
Review: I swear every book by this author just seems to get better. This was well written with a great plot and characters I instantly fell for. The history between Saylor and King was so emotional and sweet. Their friendship was born out of tragedy but they were just so special together. The pinning was so frustrating, at times, because I just wanted them to talk it out. And then they did. Their story was definitely a rollercoaster of emotions.I loved the forbidden aspect of King and Saylor’s relationship. She was his best friend’s sister and King fought his feelings for a decade before giving in. I loved the way Saylor fought for him and the way he chose her. King was the town playboy who never took anything seriously, but he was hiding a lot under that veneer and Saylor was one of the only people to see it. For a former playboy, King ended up being the perfect book boyfriend.I loved getting more of the RoD friend group and their partners. Beefcake will always be my favorite character in this series. He is just the perfect representation of all his “uncles” mixed together. I love that he saw what was between King and Saylor with such clarity. His relationship with King was so fun and I can’t wait to see more of him with Nash’s book next!I loved this book. It was the perfect slow burn between two people who had loved each other in secret for years. I loved how well they communicated and their nicknames for each other. The ending was perfect!

Title: Incredible!
Review: “I want to be that man for you today, tomorrow, and forever.”Laura never misses and this book is just *chefs kiss* There’s just something about a friends to lovers book that just hits for me. Saylor and Kingston have such a deep friendship that started when Saylor had to stay with King’s family when she was young. They find comfort in one another but it never goes deeper than a friendship. When she returns to Magnolia Falls, they reconnect and they both realize that their feelings are clearly more than a friendship.King had me swooning so many times! He is so selfless, charming, supportive, and lovable. He is an acts of service kind of guy. He works so hard to help Saylor get her bookstore up and running as well as helping his friends who are his family. I loved the game that Saylor and King had which was hiding dandelions for one another and how he included a dandelion on his tattoo.I love this series so much! The found family trope is so strong and I love how these characters, despite everything they’ve gone through, have found their people and it shows that family doesn’t mean the people who you were born into but rather those who are there for your hardest moments.I can’t wait for the next book in the series which we got a little hint of during the epilogue and I just know I will love it!

Review: Where do I start with this review! I truthfully feel like I can't do justice to this phenomenal novel! To say I loved Forbidden King would be an understatement. I ADORED everything about this small town, brother's best friend, friends to lovers romance! Saylor and Kingston's relationship was pure beauty and put butterflies in my stomach. I was already obsessed with the Magnolia Falls Series and its fantastic characters, but this book only raised my appreciation of this incredible fictional universe.Saylor was a somewhat quiet young woman that went for her dreams of opening her own romance bookstore. She was genuine, sweet and inspiring. She was such a relatable heroine. King! King King! I fell hard for this endearing man. He was pictured as this total player from the first two books in the series, but it was such a delight to see him his reactions to Saylor. He was thoughtful, devoted, protective, jealous at times which provided some incredibly interesting moments. It was truly endearing to watch this very masculine man and the way he acted with his fear of bees (you'll know the scene I'm talking about, lol).I sincerely cherished them both so much as individuals. As for them as a couple: just wow! Their romance was magnetic and a gorgeous slow burn. King and Saylor shared a special bond that I felt so deeply through the pages of this book. I cherished their sweet moments together from friendship to true love. The blossoming and acceptance of their feelings was exquisite! The scenes with the dandelions and the meaning of it were swoony! The girl talks were truly hilarious as were also some conversations and the text thread between the guys. I laughed out loud so many times through my read. I felt like a part of their gang. The love, support and playfulness they showed for each other was amazing. They're truly the meaning of family, despite not all sharing the same blood. As it was the case in the previous books, Beefcake was still so adorable and a highlight of this novel for sure.If you haven't travelled to Magnolia Falls yet, do yourself a favor and start this must read series ASAP. Forbidden King is without a doubt on my top read list for 2024 as were Wild River, book two of the series. The next novel, Beating Heart, featuring Beefcake and Nash, can't release soon enough! I'm all in for the single dad romances!

Review: Laura Pavlov has done it again! Saylor and Kingston are incredible together. The two share a deep, long-standing connection that only they truly understand. Despite this, they hide from each other—and even from themselves—that their feelings go far beyond mere friendship. With Saylor's return to town, they become closer, making it impossible to deny the chemistry between them. They simply cannot stay away from each other, and it's beautiful to watch them finally give in to their feelings. I love that “It always been you” sensation the book conveys.I wasn't prepared for just how adorable King would be. The tension between them is simply perfect.I found the story flowed perfectly. Once again, I laughed, tapped my feet in excitement, and felt my heart warm. I am eagerly anticipating the next book in the series.

Review: I had been waiting for Kingston and Saylor's story because I love the brother's best friend trope and King has been so much fun in the previous books. King is the perfect blend of fun-loving and fun to be around; sweet and caring; and a real dirty talker! Saylor was a great character too - willing to give just about anyone a chance; hard-working and dedicated to her dream of owning a bookstore; and fun to be around. There were some laugh out loud moments, such as the bee sting incident and the crazy half-siblings. There were also the sweet, beautiful moments that Laura is so good at writing. I absolutely loved the dandelion connection between Saylor and King.I absolutely loved this installment in the Magnolia Falls series and will now have to wait impatiently for Nash and Hayes to find their happy ever afters!

Review: This book hit the spot! Brother's best friend is one of my all time favorites, and Laura Pavlov did this in perfection! Saylor and King grew up together and share a special bond - this will already melt your heart when you hear that story. And King alway had a crush on her, as she had on him. Their tension was palpable through my kindle and it was just off the charts an amazing read. I'm loving this group / found family and I cannot wait to read the next book in the story!

Review: Magnolia Falls may well be my absolute favourite small town off all time and this is certainly the best found family I have read. Kingston Pierce will be placed up there with some of the best book boyfriends to ever be written, he was sweet, charismatic, loyal and just beautiful. The other amazing part of this book was his relationship with Cutler who is the best book kid ever. Saylor was a really sweet and beautiful FMC, I loved her. This book was another fantastic read and was 4.5 stars it only doesn't get 5 because Rivers book stayed with me and is one of my favourite and this didn't quite effect as much as that did. Nobody writes a small town romance better than Laura and this book is brilliant.
