Title: This thing works!
Review: This corn remover works easily, and well. I have tried at least four other gadgets for this, but none of them were any easier than a paring knife and a flat bowl. This one works well; very quick and easy. I love fresh corn, and will never be without this gadget.

Title: My new favorite kitchen gadget
Review: First let me say that I highly dislike any kitchen gadget that has only one purpose. If something is going to take up precious drawer space, it better have more than one use.However, this corn peeler is the exception!I freeze about 5 gallon-sized bags of corn kernels every summer. For years, I have used the age-old method of putting a bowl upside-down in a bigger bowl, holding the corn cob smaller bowl and slicing off the kernels. First and foremost, this process always makes a mess. Secondly, it takes a surprising long amount of time. And lastly, there is often a lot of waste as the knife doesn't always hit in the right spot on the cob.I stumbled upon this OXO peeler after a stranger mentioned a corn peeler at a farm stand. I thought about trying a different brand but decided on OXO because their products are generally superior to their competitors.I was not disappointed!I have tried this peeler with raw and blanched corn cobs. Both times, it peeled the kernels off quickly and without a mess. It gets down right to the cob without needed to exert much pressure. However, it is easier when the cobs are blanched.I did not have to use a bowl to catch the kernels as I peeled either. With the blanched cobs, I held them tilted on a baking sheet and peeled off perfectly neat little strips. Easy and mess free.I highly recommend this product to anyone who puts up a lot of summer and fall produce!

Title: Works even better than I hoped for
Review: I love this tool! The first time I used it, it didn't seem to work very well, so I went back and watched one of the videos that have been posted to Amazon showing how others use this tool. Wow, what a difference! Instead of trying to strip the corn while holding the cob vertically -- which didn't seem to work well at all -- I'm now laying the ear of corn down on a cutting board, holding it steady with my left hand and stripping from left to right. I'm amazed at how cleanly and uniformly it strips every kernel of corn off the cob while applying almost no pressure at all. This tool is well made, fits comfortably and ergonomically in the palm of my hand, and is worth every penny. I absolutely love it and think it would make a terrific stocking stuffer at Christmas.

Title: Took the kernels off with little effort!
Review: I purchased a few different corn stripper tools this year because I was sick of cutting off the cobs. I almost didn’t buy this one but so glad I did- was my favorite! The kernels literally just slid right off. No problems or having to saw back and forth- so easy! Will be buying a few more! So efficient and a great value for the price.
